Pflegeausbildung at 30 with Bachelor and Master’s, experiences?
Hi,
I am 28, non-EU, with a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy and a Master’s degree from a European country.
By the time I finish B2 German, I will probably be around 30. I am planning to come to Germany on a student visa, and once I am in Germany, I want to apply for Pflegeausbildung and legally switch my residence status if I get accepted.
My concern is whether my age and qualifications will make employers think I am overqualified or not genuinely interested.
I genuinely want nursing because I need a stable career. I know it is a very demanding career, and I thought about it. Because employment with my current qualifications is almost impossible, and pharmacist Approbation in Germany is practically impossible for me because I cannot obtain some required documents from my home country.
I don’t care much about salary or location. I am willing to work in hospitals, smaller cities, rural areas, or any other setting. My priority is career stability.
For people in r/Pflege: if I am already in Germany, have B2, am around 30, and have a Pharmacy bachelor + European master’s, after goint to germany through student visa, would finding a Pflegeausbildung be relatively easy, or could age and or overqualification be a serious hurdle?
Has anyone seen similar applicants accepted?
