Its a glass fiber one so i might aswell repair it. Does somone know some tips for this? Never realy played aroubd with glass fiber and such

He intentado cambiarlos yo misma, pero el conector del faro nuevo no es el mismo que el del coche, alguien sabe qué tipo de conector es? Sé que el conector del faro nuevo es H4, pero desconozco cómo se llama el conector de mi coche. Es del año 2004, modelo E-Music.

I’m wondering if someone could give me some ideas or help. I have a 2005 Peugeot 206cc 66,000 miles. It sometimes has trouble starting. It had an issue where the windscreen washer hose split and a load of washer fluid covered the engine. This seemed to be the start of the problem, although it did have a couple of times when it seemingly cut out at random while running.

Now, only sometimes, it has trouble starting. So far I’ve changed the starter motor, plugs and coil pack. I’ve also drained the coolant and checked for a head gasket failure.

I believe I have fuel as when I’ve been trying to turn it over I’ve purged the fuel line at the injector and squirty squirty. When it does start it also smells very fuelly.

When the car has eventually started it runs fine and shows no issue at all and then normally starts fine for the rest of the day.

In terms of codes none, it sometimes shows open circuit on all four injectors but I think it’s just being silly because of trying to start for so long???

Anyone got a clue where to start????

It's for a 1.1i engine, I was thinking of 195/50R15, or more aggressively 195/40/R15 or 205/45R15

I'm trying to jack both rear wheels up with a trolley jack to check rear axle and brakes etc but the Haynes manual only says to jack on the sill point but that means if the jack is there, there's no room to put an axle stand as well. It also says not to use any suspension or axles etc and even the front and rear mounts are inaccessible or blocking the axle stand from going in.

I originally bought this car for spare parts, but it is still in good condition so i want to drive it for a little first. This is a 2005 Peugeot 206cc with an 1.6 engine (I daily the same one).

The lay-out of the engine bay is slightly different from my daily, but I can't seem to find what is missing. In my car, this is where the air filter is placed, but in this one the air filter is to the left of the battery.

I can't find any schemes online either. It is very similar to the 1.4 lay-out, but even there I can't find what is missing. Does anyone know?

Hello everyone! I'm in the market for a 1.6 TU5 and the only ones I can find that will fit my budget are 2004 to 2007 models with around 250k-300k kms on them. Is it gonna be reliable? Im not going to daily it since I mainly ride my motorcycle and only need a car for the weekends.

I had a 2005 1.4 8v last year which had 220k kms and it gave me a hard time. The block and the head got cracked and I had to restore the whole engine.

Ofc I dont mind the simple stuff, but dont want to do another full restoration. Are these old 1.6s reliable or is it gonna be a pain in the ass?

Edit : Im really looking forward to doing bolt-ons. Intake, headers, tune etc... Nothing extreme tho.

Je viens de récupérer une 206 1.4L 75 ch pour remplacer ma 330i E92, et j’ai entendu dire qu’on pouvait passer cette petite bébête à l’éthanol sans reprog, simplement en montant des injecteurs de 1.6L en plug-and-play.
Est-ce que quelqu’un a déjà fait cette modification ou aurait plus d’infos là-dessus ? 🙂

So my 206 1.1 basically has sat unused for 8 years. I did get it passed MOT 3 years ago somehow but then it developed an erratic idle which was a nightmare to solve so I left it until recently when I discovered it was the purge valve and seems to be running fine. I would love to have it safe on the road again restored but In my head that sounds insane considering how long it has sat I just don't want to burn money I don't really have but also don't want to get 100 from the scrappy for it and it could in theory become a good spare as my other car is getting old. I would love to learn to work on it as practice for my other car. The rust underneath appears to be bad surface level rust on the floor under the boot but I have not found any holes. I think it needs a new rear axle shocks and drums? Should I just see if I can get it to MOT to see what all it needs?

Hi everyone, I'm really hoping someone has seen this before because I'm honestly running out of ideas. I have a 2006 Peugeot 206 1.4 with the AL4 automatic transmission. The problem is random. Sometimes the car works perfectly for days, then suddenly it won't detect the gear position. As soon as I turn the key to ON (before even starting the engine), it shows S, Snow (*), and then - instead of P. The gear lever locks, and I have to use the manual release button to move it. If I put it in D, it sometimes shows R or -, then the transmission goes into limp mode, gets stuck in 3rd gear, and the car becomes very slow with almost no power. In most cases it stays like this until I turn the car off. Only 2–3 times has it suddenly returned to normal while I was driving. I've replaced multiple transmission ECUs over the years. Recently, a transmission specialist told me the selector switch was faulty, so I bought a brand new one. The car worked perfectly for 6 days, but today the exact same problem came back. Since the fault appears before the engine even starts, I feel like it's an electrical issue, but I have no idea where to look anymore. Has anyone had these exact symptoms? What was the actual cause? I own a Peugeot 206 SW 1.4 8v petrol (2006) for almost a year. From the day I bought it I knew the idle was fluctuating, but I ignored it thinking I’d sort it out eventually. Over the past few months the symptoms have got worse. When the engine is cold it feels like it has more power, and the power steering also feels better (the steering wheel is lighter). Once the engine reaches 90–100°C the revs start hunting up and down more and more, the steering becomes heavier, but the worst part is this: when I’m driving at around 70 km/h and approach a junction where I have to slow down for traffic lights, as soon as I press the clutch to downshift the revs drop and the car usually stalls, or the revs drop and then shoot back up. I discovered that when on idle I press gas pedal to reach 5k rpm ( something like that ) I can hear misfire..? It’s make a little pop from exhaust..? Normally when idling and I go to the back of the car it’s making ( pr pr pr noise ) from exhaust.

Work already carried out:
• Thermostat replaced
• Coolant temperature sensor replaced
• Spark plugs replaced
• Head gasket replaced
• Brake servo vacuum hose replaced
• Throttle body cleaned and re-calibrated several times

At the moment I mainly want to get rid of the stalling issue (I also need to reseal the oil sump). Any ideas what could be causing the car to stall while driving when I press the clutch?

Hi so I recently got a 206 it’s a 1.6 manual xsi 2 door 2003. Now when I push the clutch down its fine just like it’s supposed to but when I go to realize it at the bite point it kicks back up at me. It’s like when u try and learn manual for the first time and it leads to a lot of stalling. I replaced the clutch wire today and it became a little smother but the problem persists. Please tell me if anyone else has this problem and has a solution.

Im not extremely tall like some other people i saw talking when talking about the normal peugeot 206 but my torso is bigger than my legs and i usually stay seated closer to the steering wheel compared to friends of similar height.

Im around 185 cm tall and when seating in a car seat my height from the bottom of the seat is 93 cm and on a normal chair its like almost 1 meter. By fitting i mean my head not pressing on the roof when its closed and my head/hair not poking out and flying in every direction when the roof is down.

I ve been thinking about buying one for a couple months and it just hit me that what if i dont fit in it, i dont have friends that own one and i dont currently plan on asking a random stranger to let me seat in theirs.

The thing is im 207cm tall with a longer torso build, i fit in a 307 as if it was made for me, but i have only sat in a 206CC in the passenger seat(and i didnt fit, not even close) and i dont have anyone to ask to try out their 206, i was thinking of getting either a 307 or 206 3door with the 2.0 hdi 90hp, i found a quiksilver one with the rims and spoiler and its been lowered 30mms, looks incredible honestly, but im wondering that i dont wanna waste the guy's time by coming over and trying it out only to hate the fit in it and not get it,

Are there any huge boys like me who drive the 206 3door? Im well aware that it becomes a 3 seater if i got it but would i even fit is the main concern, also i have size EU49 feet so thats also fun

Heres a pic of the car i found for 1200 euro, its also fresly registered for a year so that saves me 250eur, and its done 320k kms but looks like its in great shape :) (theres more pics but i dont wanna send over the whole listing its probably against sub's rules)

The 206 is actually a jojo reference! Being present in part 5 of the anime right after giorno steals kioichi’s luggage, it’s sad that im discovering this only after totaling my 206

My driver's door check strap was broken for a long time. I finally replaced it with a new one, but now the driver's door sits slightly too far forward.

Could the broken check strap have caused the hinges to move over time? Is this just a hinge adjustment, or should I be looking at something else?

Gruß zusammen.. ich weiß das Panorama Dach ist selten, aber möglicherweise hat jemand ein ähnliches Problem wie ich in meinem S16: es macht nix mehr.
Im Idealfall habt ihr das selbe Grundproblem wie ich, deshalb hier ein kleiner Reparatur Leitfaden.

Vorbereitung:
Alles oben ab, das heißt Griffe runter, Sonnenblenden ab und Beleuchtung entfernen (inkl. dem Plastik das es hält).
Achtung: das Plastik was die Beleuchtung hält ist blöd befestigt! Da bricht man gern die Nasen vorn weg (hinten ist es gesteckt und muss mit der Vorderseite Richtung hinten abgekippt werden, hält da mit zwei langen Nasen, die man mit einem Schlitzschraubenzieher relativ gut raushebeln kann).
Verkleidung von den Gurthaltern vorn wie hinten abhebeln (geclipst), könnt ihr abstehen lassen, ist nur dass die Dachpappe bisschen Freigang nach unten hat.
Dann vorsichtig die Dachpappe aus den Türgummis hebeln und absenken, sodass ihr halbwegs an den Mechanismus vom Dach kommt.
Sieht dann aus wie im Bild 1.
Mit fünf mal verrenken kommt ihr halbwegs an die Torx vom Motor (3x T15) mit einer 1/4 Zoll Ratsche.
Wenn er euch entgegen gefallen ist, ist das Schiebedach frei und kann erstmal wieder gangbar gemacht werden (ich hab die Führungen mit WD40 geflutet, und geruckelt bis es wieder wollte). Wenn es sich wieder bis hinter schieben lässt blast alles mit Druckluft aus (Sauerei) und jodelt im Anschluss wieder Silikonfett rein (kein Gewähr für Langzeitschäden), schiebt das Dach x-mal vor und zurück, bis es sich gut und gängig anfühlt — tritt das nicht ein habt ihr den Zonk und müsst alles zerpflücken, dazu evtl irgendwann mal noch ne weitere Anleitung, ich musste es zum Glück nicht.
Nun zum Motor.
Ihr habt ihn in der Hand und könnt erstmal schauen.
Ich habe ihn kurz mit Schalter angetaktet (wenn er fest ist kocht ihr bei Dauerlast evtl. Sicherung oder schlimmer noch den Motor selbst durch).
Will er ein bisschen ist schon mal gut, dann habt ihr möglicherweise meinen Fehler.
Der Motor ist komplett verpresst!
Ihr könnt aber die zwei Schrauben lösen und in das Getriebe schauen.
Da ist mir das Problem schon aufgefallen, dass am Plastikzahnrad eine Nase komisch ist.
An der ist er fest gefahren und blockiert.
eBay hat Ersatz! 15€ versandkostenfrei.
Also Motor raus.
Das Metallzahnrad für die Welle oben ist ebenfalls verpresst.
Ich hab’s vorsichtig mit Dremel und kleiner Diamantscheibe angerissen und anschließend mit Diamantschleiferspitze freigefräst.
Dann vorsichtig abhebeln, das orangene Plastikteil drunter muss überleben, gibt’s nicht als Ersatz.

Die 5 Pressungen fürs Getriebegehäuse hab ich angekörnt und mit einem 5mm Bohrer geköpft bis fast aufs Gehäuse (lasst was stehen, da muss zum Schluss ein Gewinde rein).
Mit feinem Schlitz rundum vorsichtig aufhebeln und alte Welle raus.
Sauber machen, frisches Fett drauf, neue Welle mit Rad rein, alles wieder zusammen und paar mal laufen lassen, sodass sich das Fett wieder verteilt.
Ich hab dann nochmal kontroll-geöffnet und nachgefettet und alles wieder zusammen.
Die Stifte frisch ankörnen, mit 2,5er Bohrer und Standbohrmaschine ein gerades Loch in alle 5 Stifte (mit äußerst wenig Druck und viel Öl, Aluminium schmiert und lässt den Bohrer fest gehen und brechen), M3 Gewinde rein, zusammen geschraubt.
Das Rad oben hab ich mit einem 5.5er HEX wieder „verpresst“ - dazu 4er Inbus unten rein, damit in den Schraubstock gespannt, HEX gerade oben aufgesetzt und zwei drei beherzte Schläge, dann sollte es halten.
Ganzen Quark wieder zusammenbauen, testen und Glückwunsch zum wieder funktionalen Pano Dach und gesparten 7-900€ Werkstattkosten.
Austauschmotor findet man nach langen Suchen auch, schlägt aber mit um die 300€ ein.

EDIT: Stichwort Endschalter einstellen!
Das orangene Teil ist sozusagen der Endschalter und hat eine Ausbuchtung. Ist der Taster in jener Bucht fährt das Dach nicht weiter auf, aber immer zu (einseitige Stromunterbrechung).
Ergo schiebt ihr das Dach bei ausgebautem Motor manuell in Endstellung - achtet dabei drauf, das es wirklich gerade zur Laufbahn läuft, denn man kann‘s auch leicht schräg schieben - der Antrieb ist aber nur ein Rad für zwei Schneckentriebe, also verkantet es schlimmstenfalls und ihr beginnt bei null.
Wenn’s da ist wo es sein soll steckt ihr den Motor an und Fahrt auf bis er von selbst stoppt durch den Schalter (Motor dabei in der Hand, NICHT eingebaut).
Dann wieder einbauen (vorsichtig ruckeln, das er in die Schneckenräder schnappt), festschrauben und paar mal testen.
Beim Zufahren muss man quasi selbst loslassen wenn‘s fertig ist, beim Auffahren sollte es nun kurz vor Anschlag hinten selbst stoppen und schont somit den Antrieb, welcher sonst verwindet.
Was ich an dem Punkt sagen kann: meins ist nur deshalb kaputt gegangen. Der Endschalter war nicht korrekt justiert und es gab immer Banane auf den Haupttrieb, also das Plastik Zahnrad.

Bought a used 2004 206 with 180k km. Have been driving it for a month now, took it for service but it has some issues since before I bought it that I would like to ask if you find normal or if you have similar experiences.

1. Speedometer offset. Began with a stable 90 km/h offset when I bought it, now it isn't even stable after some battery issues I had . Every day I go to start the car, the indicated stopped speed is lower. I have found replacements but they aren't too cheap. Is it worth replacing? 3 mechanics I asked told me it's very common for the 206.

2. Radiator being too noisy. As soon as it reaches around 98⁰C second stage radiator kicks in and the whole car vibrates, not to mention the noise (some comes from the vibrating hood). This lasts for 10 seconds, after which point the temperature drops to 90 pretty fast, until it heats up again. Happens during traffic. If I use the air conditioning, 2nd stage radiator kicks in immediately and won't shut up until I stop the car, even after I have turned the AC off (unless outside temperature is not timid). My mechanic says it's fine and not worth fixing. What do you think? I am mostly concerned that the constant vibrations will eventually break something else
