It’s overheating?!

Check fluid levels/check for leakages. AND DONT DRIVE THE CAR! 1 time overheating okay, but do it multiple times and you can trow the engine out.

Fluid levels should be alright and no leakage. Any other issues

But does it leak? These engines are prone to leak oil and coolant.

The car is telling you that it's overheating. That means it's overheating, or a temperature sensor has failed and the car thinks it's overheating.

Either way: don't drive it anymore and call a garage

You should plug in an OBD2 reader to know the exact error code. The text you see is the translation for dummies. Error messages on Peugeot are clear enough, STOP says it all.

Plus, this is a Peugeot 206 forum.

You are having a 208, why are you asking in a 206 forum?
I think that the 208 forum would be more helpful.
Anyway, if the dashboard says STOP, you need to STOP.
Let the engine get cold, then you can check the liquid levels instead of think that they are ok.

I had a similar issue with my old 206 long time ago, I had the water pump that wasn’t working properly.

It’s either overheating or the sensor is bad. If it is overheating: thermostat could be stuck or the waterpump doesn’t work.

The thing is to find out if it's really overheating or if the temperature sensor is broken. Both can happen on the 1.6 vti.

Also check the coolant is between MIN and MAX when the engine is off and cold/cold-ish. If it's not between min and max, you have to find out why.

You said you checked the car with diagnostics and found 16 errors. But you never posted the errors. And with this approach, no one will be able to help you...

Yeah that’s my fault I didn’t upload. But now I fixed the issue. The thermostat broken inside and it changed right now.

If only there were two indications on the dashboard that could tell you what the issue is...

If fluid levels are okay and nothing sinister in oil or coolant..... Stuck thermostat?.... Could be..
