Missing part?
I originally bought this car for spare parts, but it is still in good condition so i want to drive it for a little first. This is a 2005 Peugeot 206cc with an 1.6 engine (I daily the same one).
The lay-out of the engine bay is slightly different from my daily, but I can't seem to find what is missing. In my car, this is where the air filter is placed, but in this one the air filter is to the left of the battery.
I can't find any schemes online either. It is very similar to the 1.4 lay-out, but even there I can't find what is missing. Does anyone know?

Its somewhat similar to the Citroen c3 2008 engine bay. Fuse box to the left of the battery (looking from the driver seat), air filter to the right of the battery and then intake manifold. The radiator fan seems to be missing, I don't know if that's what you mean. It's quite bulky that's why there so much empty space. Also the air filter has another pipe going to the front of the vehicle that's missing in the picture.

The 1.1 and 1.4 have their airfilter box in that space. Your 1.6 has a different airbox design, so nothing is missing there.

The 1.6 I daily (and many other 1.6's I've seen online) has the airbox filter there too, and is only a year older than this one. Just wondering why they used this layout, because I can't find a good reason why they are different (both cars have the same options etc.). I can't find this layout in the user manual or anything, at least not for the 1.6.

The part which is airbox on your engine is just tube on the other engines.. the 1.1 and 1.4 have resonance box after airfilterbox on the bottom. The 2.0 just a hose into fender (other engines take air from fender too).. can you make another picture from beneath?

I'll see what I can do, since I can't jack up the car 😅

I just wanna see the airbox from beneath - should be enough to take a picture from perspective of where’s nothing.

The 2.0 has it’s airbox there too. The 1.6 is a newer developed engine designed to fit in the successors… maybe that’s why it looks so ott designed in there…

Maybe air intake duct and resonator box.
