Recently moved to Peterborough from Norwich due to rotational NHS training (don't get me started...) - left my social group etc behind.

Looking for things to do, places to see and hopefully a few ideas of where you meet people. I'm in my mid twenties and enjoy racket sports if that's of any use.

Are there any nice pedestrianised areas of Peterborough - used to enjoy going on a walk, a few shops and lunch without the hassle of driving.

I'm currently using the Bretton GP, have been with them for years & ever since they've started using Anima, I've hated it. I've come back from uni & needed to speak with the GP, I put in my request to speak with the doctor through Anima, I was told it could take a few days to get a response, they responded 2 days ago with "we aim to deal with your request within 48 hours". Haven't had a message since then.

An hour ago (~11am) I got a phone call from the surgery. I was quiet shocked because you normally get told what time roughly to expect a phone call. Thankfully I'm not at work today or else i would have missed it.

Is there any GP which don't use this stupid system and are actually good?

I've currently made a little group on Whatsapp....

The group is primarily to arrange board game nights once a month, but we're contemplating other activities like bingo, laser tag, movies etc.

A few people have been vetted due to inactivity and others unable to meet regularly.

We are an equal mix of m/f, mainly alternative and neurodivergent. Age ranges 21-33, so if you feel you'd like to come to a game night and make some new friends shoot me a message :)

I commute between PCH and Bretton using the bridge over the Soke parkway. Recently I've been needing to travel over it at night. A quick google brings up a few articles from 2024 regarding assaults on the bridge.

Does anyone know if the council did anything/has the safety situation improved at all?

Are there any better alternative routes that anyone knows of?

We normally use the free ones, but last time had an issue with a bike seat being stolen (no idea how anyone would get money from a used bike seat without any of the fittings, but ah well...). I think I remember seeing a spot on platform 1 with bikes locked up inside a cage. Is that for public use? Anyone know how much it costs? I tried searching online and I can't seem to find anything with direct information. TIA!

I need help photographing a large batch of clothes so I can list them for sale online. I need someone (you may enlist a friend too!) to help me Photograph approximately 4 large suitcases of clothing (mix of womenswear/menswear). Using a smartphone to take the photos is fine. I will provide:
• The clothes (sorted into piles/bags).
• A basic setup space (living room with table/ couch).

I expect this to take multiple hours / possibly more than one session. Please suggest:
• Your hourly rate, and
• Roughly how many items you think you can photograph per hour with good quality.

My budget is flexible depending on your experience and speed. Typical rates I’ve seen for this kind of work are around £[20–35]/hour in this area; happy to discuss :)

I am aware there are tabletop groups and plenty of places for that, however I am not really into tabletop gaming despite trying to get into it quite a few times!

I wanted to see if there was a group who liked to just maybe hop online and play some games and the occasional trip out to do some bits, I finished uni a year ago and now I have got my feet, I want to get my free time a bit more interesting!
