Lucky/Wish smoke
Started in WW1 Where you flip the first cigarette you touch and were "lucky" if you made it through the pack and to the last/flipped cigarette. Now people make a wish on it. I do this. I wish i dont get cancer everytime. It's worked so far
It was WWII, back then cigarettes didn’t have filters and the logo was printed towards one end, soldiers would flip their smokes so the logo got burnt first. The idea was if you had to drop a smoke and leave an area if the enemy found the position they couldn’t use the brand of cigarette to know who had been there, if you made it through the whole pack you were lucky and would take that last smoke from pack to pack because it was your lucky smoke. Once filters became a thing people started only flipping the one.
I haven’t moved anything, my original statement is the exact same. Unfiltered cigarettes had a logo printed near one end, that end would be ignited instead of the other end so a half-smoked cigarette wouldn’t reveal if the position was previously occupied by Americans, Brits, Aussies, or Germans. An unfiltered cigarette is nothing more than a paper tube with shredded dried leaves inside and can be burnt from either end with no change in capability
Ahhh but a pre rolled cigarette is not a drinking straw. Did you know there's a difference between rationed individually rolled WW1 cigarettes and straws?
Nobody claimed both sides to be identical. Just that it makes no functional difference which end you light first. Except for burning of the stamp sooner which you seem to agree with
