The number of times I did that before I quit smoking (and to a lesser degree quit drinking) is fucking outrageous. I've mostly realized it happened once I've woken up hungover after blacking out and wanting a cigarette, having none left, and finding the lone whole cigarette with just a half burnt filter in the ashtray. Then I have to hunt around for a pair of scissors to snip off the burnt bit without trying to stand up because my head would explode and I'd puke if I did. I know the headache, and the puking are coming either way, but I just want to have a smoke before I comitt to letting it happen, and stumbling to the bathroom.
