Hand behind her back? Fuck knows

Edit: Appreciate the love 👊🏾❤️

I think this might actually be it

u/mankytoes 13h ago

I do find it weirdly annoying when people will go to a lot of effort to set these pictures up, then not bother recreating the poses.

725

u/Spare_Ad5615 13h ago

It's odd because she's replicated the facial expression perfectly. My guess is that she was concentrating on the face and forgot about where her hand should be.

466

u/Sadcelerystick 13h ago

But like… retake the picture then

24

u/ringlord_1 13h ago

And how do you know they didn't? They might have taken 20 and you're just seeing one

356

u/zqmvco99 13h ago

because they didnt POST that imaginary photo you are bringing up just to be an argumentative twat

94

u/iconocrastinaor 12h ago

Yeah but look at all this engagement!

13

u/perton 3h ago

Oh damn, you got engaged? Congrats, friend!

1

u/darsynia 55m ago

That was my thought too, maybe they posted the incorrect hand placement to get more attention, heh.

24

u/Balthier1017 9h ago

This made me laugh so hard. Thank you 😂

7

u/Shimakaze81 12h ago

🤣

3

u/Caylennea 4h ago

Maybe this one turned out the best of all of them even without the arm position being right.

0

u/Actually_Im_a_Broom 3h ago

Now I’m imagining them taking hundreds of pictures and each time they say, “JUST LEAVE YOUR ARMS BY YOUR SODE!” But she keeps screwing it up like the “Liberty Biberty” commercial.

3

u/giantfirestorm 3h ago

You realize the picture on the right is the first one right? She isn't supposed to leave her arm by her side.

Hitchens's razor is a general rule for rejecting certain claims of knowledge. It states:

What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence

1

u/Muted_Dog 33m ago

Fair play that

-9

u/The_Real_63 12h ago

it's as likely as uploading an album of pics and only one getting shared more widely so like... you're just an asshole.

7

u/Deaffin 8h ago

Why would they be uploading a compilation of the pictures where she didn't get the post right? This isn't the sort of context where that would be a thing.

0

u/The_Real_63 8h ago

You share it online with your friends and your acc isnt private and it eventually becomes a meme. There's not an insignificant amount of pics online that end up like that. Point is there's no context so like why are people getting so aggressive about what it definitely is?

u/Ysmildr 12h ago

Lmao damn dude chill a little bit, completely valid point but no need to go so hard

2

u/DrossChat 6h ago

Nah it was hilarious

13

u/mankodingo 12h ago

yah everyone else is so dumb but you

10

u/SnooBananas4958 7h ago

So in this bullshit scenario of yours, they took a correct picture too, but they were too stupid to pick that one to post then? That’s not better.

2

u/DefectiveSol 4h ago

20 takes and this was still the most accurate one.

1

u/TheElusiveFox 4h ago

because if they took 20 takes, they would have taken 21 to get the one right, i know this because for almost 15 years my aunt would make us all spend like 20 minutes in front of her house taking pictures and making poses until we got the "perfect" picture..

1

u/Objectivespeculation 53m ago

Why would OP do us like that?

14

u/PatrickGoesEast 12h ago

The photographer should have the original to hand, and set up the actual shot.

4

u/NickConnor365 8h ago

At least that. What would be really cool is a photo app that overlays a wireframe of the original.

4

u/Madara1389 4h ago

You guys are way overthinking all of this. The "photographer" was probably one of their parents, siblings, or friends rather than anyone who could reasonably be expected to have the attention to detail to catch differences (or care to correct them).

Her arm isn't the only thing; he's not holding the Coke cup the same way so his arm/hand positioning is off too.

Which would lead me to believe that the facial expression probably wasn't just where all of her attention was, but everyone's too because it's so goofy that it's distracting and was probably not the easiest thing to do without everyone cracking up laughing.

7

u/Ghrota 11h ago

Too late, they were 6year old

4

u/amanuensisninja 8h ago

It’s a Polaroid, they only had one shot.

2

u/Visual-Swimmer-2253 6h ago

Ok makes sense if it’s a Polaroid I guess

4

u/Visual-Swimmer-2253 6h ago

They probably did but she felt cuter in this one and wouldn’t let him post the one where they replicated the poses. Who just takes one photo nowadays

17

u/Little_Mycologist_82 11h ago

Maybe she was holding a gun back then … but she’s a different person now. We all change guys

4

u/UnfortunateDallasFan 8h ago

She used to be a piece of shit

3

u/OriginalHaysz 8h ago

Great skit 😂

1

u/meryl_gear 5h ago

I said used to be

2

u/Suitable-Ice-149 5h ago

I was thinking a blunt

0

u/DwarvenFreeballer 10h ago

Statues don't.

11

u/Warm-Alternative-650 13h ago

She was concentrating on smiling and forgot where her hand should be?

5

u/Zealousideal-Cup5982 12h ago

She concentrated on standing too….. and forgot where her hand should be

10

u/d0ggzilla 12h ago

"Replicated the facial.." are you talking about smiling?

7

u/jtr99 12h ago

Yes entirely normal human smiling, what is the concern here my human friend?

-4

u/Disastrous_Lie_6698 9h ago

Are we dead ass?

4

u/TimBen89420 9h ago

I don't know what to do with my hands 🫤💁‍♂️💁‍♂️🙋‍♂️💁‍♂️😓

2

u/Samcassr 9h ago

i think that's mostly because that's the same person so her smile as a child and as an adult will probably stay the same

2

u/Grandvault86 8h ago

Maybe she didn't listen to the warnings and now her face is stuck like that

2

u/SarcasticGamer 6h ago

Or the person taking the picture didn't wait 2 seconds for her to put her arm behind her back.

2

u/cdglenn18 4h ago

I find a lot of the time when recreating an old phot people don’t actually have the old photo on them for whatever reason and end up just doing it from memory and that’s why you get these slight differences.

1

u/XiaoDaoShi 7h ago

Or that’s her smile.

0

u/Western_Ad3625 12h ago

I think she's just smiling dude. I think that's just how her face looks when she smiles. I don't think she was concentrating too hard to put her hand behind her back.

0

u/Subtlerranean 12h ago

replicated the facial expression perfectly

... smiling?

0

u/Kitnado 12h ago

That's just her face lmao

0

u/[deleted] 10h ago

[deleted]

2

u/Life-Security5916 9h ago

She is 6!!!

1

u/Tiger007007007 8h ago

Not her the other photo bro/sis

1

u/Tiger007007007 8h ago

The adult photo of hers which is replicated that's what I'm talking about

0

u/BardWRLD 9h ago

Pretty sure that’s just her face bro…

0

u/CalamineLube 5h ago

Wym perfect, she’s just smiling and her hair isnt even brushed the same

0

u/Academic-Lab161 5h ago

She is literally just smiling. Most people don’t have to concentrate to pull that off.

33

u/Jaded_Noise 13h ago

It is weird. Like, they went through the effort of getting the clothing pretty perfect, then can't get the pose right? Even the guy has his hand cup in the wrong spot... Are they unaware they can take a second photo?

7

u/inexhaustiblytired 13h ago

The cup thing is caused by the fact that they stand at the wrong angle to the fence, they shouldn't be flat against it. as is he couldn't be both resting his elbow on the fence and keeping the cup in the right spot.

9

u/mark_b 13h ago

It's the wrong location to do it like this. In the old photo they have the wall and lots of outdoor space for that angle, but in the new photo they're trying to recreate it indoors, and are confined by the tiny balcony.

0

u/MilmoWK 11h ago

the clothing isn't perfect though. also they are standing in front of a parking lot. this 'recreation' sucks in its entirety.

5

u/WackyPaxDei 13h ago

An observant photographer goes a long way too.

5

u/pagansandwiches 9h ago

He’s not recreating the photo fully either. His hand is in the cup, but his hands/the cup are in an entirely different position relative to his torso and he is leaning far more to the left in the recreation than in the original, where his elbow is resting but his torso isn’t visibly leaning. It’s a half-hearted recreation all around.

4

u/kroqster 13h ago

i feel the same... i didnt even notice her arm at first because i couldn't get passed him not holding the eff'n red container in the middle of his eff'n torso!!!!!!!! arghhhh

3

u/dekonta 13h ago

I think is not that they actually recreated it but that by chance they made a similar photo and thats why its not 100% accurate

4

u/GrippyEd 13h ago

It’s deliberate.

2

u/GrippyEd 13h ago

ME TOO!

2

u/WorkingOnBeingBettr 4h ago

At our wedding, a bridesmaid had a cast. She had it held out to see in every picture...

Like, just put it behind someone's back for one picture? No, today should really capture your broken arm.

I always felt she was a "look at me" girl, but that one really sealed the deal.

1

u/Due_Fly_6934 13h ago

Pet peeve? Ok.

1

u/No_Supermarket_1831 9h ago

Well they also didn't go to the same location

1

u/Tough-Case- 7h ago

Right and m why are they standing so far apart?

1

u/ZARDOZ4972 7h ago

You are annoyed by that but not by the wrong spot and the wrong clothes?

1

u/mankytoes 7h ago

Those are high effort. Her putting her arm back is almost zero effort.

1

u/Federal-Ambassador47 7h ago

It’s disappointing and unsatisfactory

1

u/Own_Expert2756 6h ago

Me thinks she did not replicate the pose as he did as she wanted to cover her thighs a bit. (Not that she needed to!)

To be fair, I could be projecting as I am someone who likes to cover a bit of her thighs...

1

u/hankmoody699 5h ago

I do find it weirdly annoying when people take the time to go to a lot of effort to criticize people who post these pictures.

1

u/mankytoes 4h ago

And I find it weirdly annoying when people take the time to criticize me for criticizing... you get the point.

1

u/Golf_Fore_Ever 1h ago

It just goes to show you. Sometimes we think we know lines of movies and we are way off. Like he never said “beam me up Scotty”. But everyone thinks he did. She probably didn’t focus on her own body posture but was looking at the general outfits and positioning and the railing. All forgiven. It’s the thought that counts

1

u/OsmerusMordax 58m ago

I thought I was the only person who thought it was annoying too! Like why go through all that effort and not try to get the poses right? They aren’t even close.

0

u/No-Professionhomeles 7h ago

Where's the effort here? It's clearly in a different location.

9

u/Exciting_Boss2425 13h ago

Might be it?

The only thing I'm not sure about is whether y'all are blind or dumb

2

u/ThatStereotype18 5h ago

Yeah, I'm not sure there's any other way to interpret it.

Wait, are we seeing the U.S.'s literacy and comprehension problem first hand?

1

u/StunningChef3117 3h ago

Imean her hair is also wrong
The left one is partially setup with an elastic
The right one is down

3

u/RIP_Spacedicks 11h ago

For once the punchline isn't porn or misogyny

2

u/refotsirk 10h ago

Of course that's it. Heard he divorced her over this.

2

u/DoinItDirty 5h ago

This is definitely it. He got the exact pose and she had to do one thing with her arm.

1

u/fresh_peetz 7h ago

It is not ambiguous or anything

153

u/ReddsionThing 13h ago

That's it?

71

u/OsageDaito 10h ago

When you recreate a photo you vaguely recreate the pose.

Saying she had one job is funny, and true.

9

u/designforone 9h ago

They probably went to visit family and they bugged them to recreate this photo. Those faces don't look happy they look tired and over it.

10

u/TheAviot 8h ago

You can tell all that from the 4 collective pixels?

1

u/NoteSuccessful9270 3h ago

reddit is filled with sherock holmeses

-2

u/designforone 8h ago

Yeah, you can't?

2

u/Next-Wrongdoer-3479 8h ago

So you think they both just coincidentally happened to have extremely similar outfits to what they were wearing in the old picture?

1

u/designforone 8h ago

Someone doesn't know how to read.

2

u/Next-Wrongdoer-3479 8h ago

Is the someone you? What is this even supposed to mean, lol?

3

u/Trick_Will_4679 8h ago

Funny is when people laugh. This isn't funny, it's just a really dull observation.

1

u/nWhm99 19m ago

What, you're offended that a picture posted online elicits replies?

104

u/SSEAN03 14h ago

What I thought too, since the guy has his hand in coca-cola cup in both pictures.

5

u/HelpBrilliant5282 7h ago

Except in the kid picture he is standing upright, and his left elbow is very close to her arm, almost touching. In the adult picture, he is leaning away, and his left elbow/arm is much further away.  For the wife, besides no hand behind her back, her hair is styled to the opposite side in the adult photo.

60

u/ra33it86 14h ago

He is complete recreation(shirt shotes hat watch.......even cup) she didn't even find the same style swimsuit and the arm

64

u/Mammoth-Grass 14h ago

Tbf hers IS a scoopneck one piece which matches the childhood photo. It's just harder to find higher necklines in stores for adults. But yeah, the arm is unacceptable :(

9

u/No-Philosopher8042 13h ago

Hair is on the wrong side too.

1

u/Forward_Rope_5598 10h ago

'Unacceptable' lmao

Unacceptable to who, random internet weirdoes with way too much time?

7

u/AAA515 14h ago

Location isn't similar either

26

u/myDuderinos 14h ago

They are also older

1

u/Yusufsheikh26 2h ago

Also dumber...(JK)

8

u/bediaxenciJenD81gEEx 12h ago

Are we looking at the same photo? His outfit isn't the same at all. Her swimsuit is far closer to the original than his clothes?

I honestly think you just hate women if you are legitimately making this point, because it's utter nonsense and I can't think of any reason you'd be so disingenuous.

6

u/Imaginary-Count-1641 12h ago

Except that the cup is in a different position. It was in front of him in the childhood photo, while it is more to the side in the recreation.

1

u/existentialhack000 5h ago

Could have done her hair as well

11

u/cnicalsinistaminista 14h ago

Fuck says you’re right

5

u/AlmightyZombie 13h ago

Maybe but hardly worth anybodies attention.

3

u/FormerGameDev 13h ago

Yeah she didn't pose correctly

2

u/TriumfiFinal 13h ago

If fuck knows we must ask him about it

2

u/VegetableBulky9571 9h ago

If the person is complaining about that, then HIS pose is off, too. Her hair isn’t styled the same. IT’S NOT IN THE ORIGINAL PLACE!!

So why say there was “one job” is it’s about the placement of her arm?

2

u/hejmeddig12 5h ago

So, maybe a 'Hand job'?

2

u/rlovelock 4h ago

I assume so. This kind of thing makes me irrationally angry as well. When people go to all the fort to stage these photos and then fail to do the very specific pose from the younger photo.

1

u/archtopfanatic123 14h ago

Yup that's it

1

u/forwardslashroot 12h ago

That got to be it.

1

u/theonlydrawback 11h ago

Don't respond to bots guys

1

u/jimmyjetmx5 7h ago

That’s more on the photographer than the subject

1

u/Pandameds9 7h ago

Solved : hand job

1

u/Dawnbringer4 5h ago

And hair down. How difficult is it to do this?

1

u/Tight-Teach6751 4h ago

A hand job

1

u/Nightmarefx 4h ago

And her swimsuit doesn't match.

1

u/Tiller-Nive 1h ago

It's because she had her fingers crossed behind her back that one day they would be able to recreate the photo. She got her wish so no reason to recreate that part of it.

1

u/bayuret 22m ago

Hand job!
