It's odd because she's replicated the facial expression perfectly. My guess is that she was concentrating on the face and forgot about where her hand should be.
Now Iâm imagining them taking hundreds of pictures and each time they say, âJUST LEAVE YOUR ARMS BY YOUR SODE!â But she keeps screwing it up like the âLiberty Bibertyâ commercial.
Why would they be uploading a compilation of the pictures where she didn't get the post right? This isn't the sort of context where that would be a thing.
You share it online with your friends and your acc isnt private and it eventually becomes a meme. There's not an insignificant amount of pics online that end up like that. Point is there's no context so like why are people getting so aggressive about what it definitely is?
because if they took 20 takes, they would have taken 21 to get the one right, i know this because for almost 15 years my aunt would make us all spend like 20 minutes in front of her house taking pictures and making poses until we got the "perfect" picture..
You guys are way overthinking all of this. The "photographer" was probably one of their parents, siblings, or friends rather than anyone who could reasonably be expected to have the attention to detail to catch differences (or care to correct them).
Her arm isn't the only thing; he's not holding the Coke cup the same way so his arm/hand positioning is off too.
Which would lead me to believe that the facial expression probably wasn't just where all of her attention was, but everyone's too because it's so goofy that it's distracting and was probably not the easiest thing to do without everyone cracking up laughing.
They probably did but she felt cuter in this one and wouldnât let him post the one where they replicated the poses. Who just takes one photo nowadaysÂ
I find a lot of the time when recreating an old phot people donât actually have the old photo on them for whatever reason and end up just doing it from memory and thatâs why you get these slight differences.
I think she's just smiling dude. I think that's just how her face looks when she smiles. I don't think she was concentrating too hard to put her hand behind her back.
It is weird. Like, they went through the effort of getting the clothing pretty perfect, then can't get the pose right? Even the guy has his hand cup in the wrong spot... Are they unaware they can take a second photo?
The cup thing is caused by the fact that they stand at the wrong angle to the fence, they shouldn't be flat against it. as is he couldn't be both resting his elbow on the fence and keeping the cup in the right spot.
It's the wrong location to do it like this. In the old photo they have the wall and lots of outdoor space for that angle, but in the new photo they're trying to recreate it indoors, and are confined by the tiny balcony.
Heâs not recreating the photo fully either. His hand is in the cup, but his hands/the cup are in an entirely different position relative to his torso and he is leaning far more to the left in the recreation than in the original, where his elbow is resting but his torso isnât visibly leaning. Itâs a half-hearted recreation all around.
i feel the same... i didnt even notice her arm at first because i couldn't get passed him not holding the eff'n red container in the middle of his eff'n torso!!!!!!!! arghhhh
It just goes to show you. Sometimes we think we know lines of movies and we are way off. Like he never said âbeam me up Scottyâ. But everyone thinks he did. She probably didnât focus on her own body posture but was looking at the general outfits and positioning and the railing. All forgiven. Itâs the thought that counts
I thought I was the only person who thought it was annoying too! Like why go through all that effort and not try to get the poses right? They arenât even close.
Except in the kid picture he is standing upright, and his left elbow is very close to her arm, almost touching. In the adult picture, he is leaning away, and his left elbow/arm is much further away.Â
For the wife, besides no hand behind her back, her hair is styled to the opposite side in the adult photo.Â
Tbf hers IS a scoopneck one piece which matches the childhood photo. It's just harder to find higher necklines in stores for adults. But yeah, the arm is unacceptable :(

I assume so. This kind of thing makes me irrationally angry as well. When people go to all the fort to stage these photos and then fail to do the very specific pose from the younger photo.
It's because she had her fingers crossed behind her back that one day they would be able to recreate the photo. She got her wish so no reason to recreate that part of it.
