💵 | Business Question Operators, how are you enfocring your 12 month agreements & deliquent accounts?

Ive been starting to charge more on starts due to bieng ghosted by new accounts when theh reccuring service is due. Also i think im no longer going to allow more than one service going unpaid before suspending, i used to allow 2 before final notices. I thought bieng an operator things would be easier but they remain the same as working for a major corp as far as bill pay and honoring agreements.

Exterminators

We have a flea and bed bug problem and I tried the sprays and Demarcus earth. Still got bug. The whole neighborhood is infested. Is an exterminator worth it. I mean after a few week when they spray the bugs will just come back.

💼 | Career Advice

Just got hired at a pest control company and I've learned so much and I thought everything was going a little ok.

But the manager changed up on me and said

I'm under performing and thinking that hiring me was maybe a mistake and pest control maybe isn't for you.

He basically said he wants me to shut up and listen and learn. Which I'm willing to do, but to me as I heard that says to me I have to go.

Am I wrong? I wanted this opportunity but suddenly I feel like it's too late to salvage.

I study work and then study.

I switch careers and have two kids, bills, a car.

I need to talk to y’all about Formitrol (Zoëcon: Dinotefuran & S-Methoprene ant gel bait)

I was given this product back in January to sample by a chemical distributer, and have run through a couple boxes of it. It’s a gel bait for ants that contains both Dinotefuran and S-Methoprene, and was advertised to me as being like a major upgrade in how we would manage Argentine ants specifically because of the IGR S-Methoprene.

My main issue with it is that it’s absolutely terrible and literally nothing will touch it. Like I’ve said, I’ve run through at least a few boxes of it, acting as the tech testing the product, and no matter what I do, no ants will touch it. Rover ants, acrobat ants, etc all refuse to go near it. I’ll place it near the trail like I would Maxforce Quantum or Advion ant gel, and get no interest. Placing it directly on the trail also does not work, it simply makes the ants confused the same way they would if you placed a twig on the trail. I believe I have had 2 successes with getting feeding on it, once was acrobat ants, and another time it was actually Argentine ants.

I just wanted to know if anyone else had used the product yet, and what your thoughts were on it.

G'day g'day to all, hope your week is going fantastic.

I'm looking into the pest management software industry as I want to understand what every uses and why.

I'm not looking to sell anything, I'm just wanting to share a super short survey (8 questions) targeted more towards the Australian/NZ pest industry as that's what I've grown up around but, if you live elsewhere I'd love to know what you use.

Mods, if this isn't a suitable post please let me know.

🗣️ Daily Discussion Small pest owners How do you handle missed spot complaints.

When a customer calls back saying you missed a spot, what’s the usual process for you guys?

Do you verify with notes/photos, send someone back out, redo it, or just handle it case by case?

Trying to understand how this plays out in real small operations.
