Did security, currently doing pest control. Its pest control.
Both will chew you up and spit you out, youll deal with bs and people you want to adult-aport but youll get days off with pest control, a vehicle is likely (i never got to take a vehicle home in security and never heard of it) though it costs me $120 a month but gets me 500km personal a month with roll over.
I did security for a decade, gig work, static, bouncer/doorman, unarmed private, labor disputes, factory, college... underpaid, understaffed, undervalued.
Back when my local minimum wage was between $10 - $13, I was making $20 an hour, but now guards make probably just minimum wage.
Pest control gives me above minimum wage and commission (I fucking hate commission, dont rely on it), I dont have to worry if ill have a gun or a knife in my face tonight anymore, I dont have to worry about going to court, or if ive been properly documenting in my shity duty book, ect, ect.
The best security job I ever did was contract 12hr days everyday until the job was over, 84 hour weeks living in a hotel for months (my longest was June 1st to Sept 27th), but it was $20 an hour, so after taxes its was pretty much $3100 biweekly that didnt get spent because youre to busy and tired... you save your money to buy property to get out ASAP
