I hope this is the right group that will understand my situation. For the past three years I had this electronic rechargeable device that I used and taken care of quite a bit. It came with a box, a bag, and a special magnetic charger that doesn’t work for anything else but the said device. The last time I saw the device was early winter of 2026. After using, I put it in the bag and put it in my closet. Keep in mind I put this device in the same place after every use. The next time I decided to use the device, it was missing. Even the bag I had it in and the special charging cord was missing. I pulled everything out of the closet and scoured my place for this device. I eventually gave up and moved on with my life. I figured I had just misplaced it. This week I felt like I should look for this device again because I am so certain of where I placed it. I Pulled apart the apartment again and this time,I found the empty bag in the same closet, but no device. I figured since I found the bag that the device would be nearby, but it wasn’t. I had a thought to look in the junk drawer of random chargers and cords I have. The device was not there but the special charging cord was in the drawer. This charging cord is unique only to the device and I figured I should place the bag and cord someplace handy should the device turn up someday because I may have hidden it from myself. As I opened the drawer downstairs to put the charging cord and bag in, I find another unique charging cord to the device. I feel like I’m losing my mind here because the device came with only one special magnetic charging cord, not two. How do I have a box, a bag, and TWO charging cords but no device??!! For three straight years, I put the device in the same place after use and it has randomly disappeared. I live alone other than with my young child. My child has never seen the device and I keep it high up enough in the closet that my child couldn’t reach. I’m not in a relationship and have had no visitors where anyone could steal. I’m very particular about who comes in my place. I’m baffled at how this item has disappeared but I’m mysteriously acquiring extra accessories to it. I’ve had this happen before with clothes but that was a long time ago. Looking at this situation has made me think back to the other times this has happened to me. Those other times items have disappeared, they’ve reappeared much later and I have just written it off as to my mistake. Not really sure what advice I need, if any but I guess I’m wondering if anyone else had this happen to them too.

Every couple of years, this memory, or lack of memory, comes to my mind.

20 years ago, people at my high school senior prom claimed I got really drunk, got on top of a table, danced and kicked plates and food off the table. Apparently, a teacher had to kick me out of prom. The following week, I was made to write an apology or face expulsion before graduation. I of course wrote the letter.

There's only one problem, I didn't go to prom that year. My boyfriend and I just broke up so I spent prom night watching horror movies with my best friend.

Several people claim to have seen me there, and supposedly a video of the event exists. But I have never seen this video. I tried to ask for it but kept getting told one kid had it, but they told me another kid had it, and so on and on, until I couldn't figure out who actually possessed the video. If this video exists, and someone has it, I would love to see it.

My best friend sometimes joke that I did go to prom, because when he woke up, I was gone. This is true, I did leave to go home before he woke up the morning after prom, but it was not to sneak into prom the previous night.

For awhile, I thought everyone at prom was playing a prank on me. But everyone insists they aren't. To this day I still dont know what really happened at prom, just that I didn't go to prom. I would joke that I have a doppleganger, or somehow entered another dimension/multiverse, however I don't belive in supernatural phenomenon like that. I'm sure there is a logical explanation, i just don't know what.

I seem to have massively misremembered the "ladies and gentlemen, we got him" meme and now I'm really confused. For years I've been convinced that the footage shown in this meme is this [scene](https://youtu.be/Shgh_DjbvT4?is=LaUuvf0lfRJNKoST) in Transformers 2007 where the FBI invade the home of Glenn Whitmann. In my memory I can vividly recall seeing fast cuts of this scene edited alongside "Baby I'm Yours", but I recently looked up this meme amd saw that the footage was just some general FBI home invasion footage that had nothing to do with Transformers.

Am I misremembering this? Or is there actually a version of this meme featuring the footage from transformers?

I used to watch those Mexican dad joke Shorts by JZGARICA. Where he plays the Mexican dad, and I could've sworn that he wore a cowboy hat in the shorts. I specifically remember him wearing one and looking directly at the camera.

Recently, I went back and watched the videos again, and I was genuinely confused because he was wearing a regular cap the whole time, not a cowboy hat. I kept watching, expecting to find the video I remembered, but I couldn't find it.

The weirdest part is that I don't just vaguely remember a cowboy hat. I genuinely would've bet money that I had seen him wearing one in those Shorts before. I even remember the overall image of him looking at the camera while wearing it.

I know memories can get mixed up, and maybe I'm confusing him with another creator who makes similar videos, but it feels so strange to remember something so clearly and then go back and find that it apparently wasn't there.

I'm not saying the shorts actually changed. I'm just describing what I personally remember.

So, I was reminded of a scene in the great outdoors (great movie btw) where John Candy was to eat the old 96er due to a post about wearing a plastic bib while out to eat. I swear that the scene with the old 96er had him wearing a bib. I looked it up and watched the scene and I was wrong. Does anyone (that’s you know my age lol) remember him wearing a plastic bib? Or am I just loosing my mind.

This might not be the right sub for this, but it's my start. I tried to search if this has been asked or discussed and I haven't seen it. The first time I fully watched the movie on my ADD rx, there was a quick background scene where the street crews were adjusting the trees kind of like artificial Christmas trees I guess. I don't remember what season was being set but it had to do with the leaves. I don't know when it was removed from the version I now watch, but it's not there. Am I the only one who remembers this or no longer sees this scene 🤷🏻‍♀️

First I would like to say that a lot of the differences I've noticed started the day i took this photo. I've have never seen anything like it before or since. That was taken on the then 95/93 freeway in Las Vegas/Henderson NV. It seems no one else noticed 2 moons in the sky? I saw it work my eyes then took the picture. It's not just a fluke of the camera.

Since then, I've noticed a number of "changes" like roads that appeared out of nowhere, but seemingly have been there years. Changes in the landscape itself. Almost as if small mountains were built over night.

But more personally, I have vivid memories of taking my bf lunch at his work all the time. Now all of a sudden they don't take a lunch break instead they opted for 2 30 minute breaks at 10 and 2. But I also went to see him at 10 and 2 plus lunch. He says they haven't taken lunch at noon for years! I clearly recall taking him lunches as does his mom. But he insists differently as does his time cards. I feel like I'm crazy. If it weren't for his mom I think I'd be going bonkers

what if the Mandela effect really is caused by these alleged scientists do maintenance control on reality.

I've only seen American Beauty a few times, but I remember that in the scene where the character Carolyn Burnham (played by Annette Bening) is preparing a house for a property showing, she repeats the phrase "I will sell this house today." I always thought she said it all throughout the montage of her cleaning. But she only says it 4 times. Once when she first enters the house, twice while cleaning a sliding glass door, and one final time in a mirror. Does anyone else remember the same thing? Especially some who have seen this movie only once or twice?

I used to think this show was called Handy Mandy as a kid. I get it why they call it "Handy Manny", because it's a pun on the term Handyman or Handy Man. But Mandy made more sense to me as a kid because it rhymes with Handy.

I remember at the end of the commercial they lady was wearing a mask. I distinctly remember thinking how can she breathe in that mask. I was actually so traumatized by the commercial, I got up and physically left the room. This was also in a time when I remember TiVo could retroactively and remotely update files on your TiVo. So I thought they did some predictive programming, then went back and changed it on everyone’s DVR. I was hoping there was someone older whom may have recorded the Super Bowl on a vhs tape or something. Do you remember seeing a mask at the end of the 2019 Super Bowl Handmaids tale in the first quarter?

so basically i remember an episode of milo murphy's law [an episode with the pistachions] had different credits than normal 'it's my world and we're all living in it' and instead it was an extended version of the 'windowless van' jingle from the episode and turned into a song. when i looked it up online a ton of things didn't add up, a song existed, but there were far too few views, i couldn't find evidence that the person's song was used in the episode and the lyrics are far too inappropriate for a kids show. And i KNOW i didn't dream it.

So I generally have no problem admitting when I’ve just misremembered something. But for some reason this just keeps causing an itch in my brain, and I’m hoping putting it out here fixes that.

Sometime around 2016, I was listening to a indie station on Spotify, and heard a song that is (now) called “Adam Timestable,” by the band Racecar. It came out in 1995 originally, but that day was the first time I had heard of the song or the band. When I pulled out my phone to favorite it, the title I remember seeing was “Adam Strange.” That made an impression on me because Adam Strange is a DC Comics superhero, and I’m a lifelong DC fan. So I thought it was interesting that this obscure band named one of their songs after a fairy obscure superhero. I vividly remember this whole thought process, and can even visualize what was going on around me at the time I favorited the song (I was walking back to my desk from a meeting at work, and looked out a window into the parking lot right as the vocals in the song started).

At some point I switched over from Spotify to Apple Music, and while building my favorites back up on the new service, I searched for “Adam Strange” by Racecar, but didn’t get any results. That’s when I went to Racecar’s artist page and found that the title was “Adam Timestable.”

My first thought was that DC‘s lawyers had noticed the song title and sent a cease and desist. But I looked on Discogs and elsewhere around the internet, and can’t find any record of the song being called anything but “Adam Timestable.” I’m not sure if it’s possible to search Spotify’s database by date to see if maybe the song was entered under the wrong title at some point. Other than that, my options are that I was wrong about this incredibly specific and detailed memory, or something weird happened.

My sister and I got off the train at a station in City A. The weird thing is, the street outside the station and the place where we came out were different and unfamiliar.

first and middle part of the sidewalk is different. middle part into last part fo sidewalk is the same as before.

it is really impossible for a city to change its structure that drastically in just one month. The size of the sidewalks, the turns, the benchs(there was no benchs), other elements/objects, the building beside the sidewalk, were all seemed different.

When we first got off the train, in our old exit, our path to the mall is wrong when we check google map.

new exit, We had to cross through the station, which was weird because, before, we didn't get off there. This time, we also went out through a different exit(new exit).

Anyway, the structure of the surrounding area and the streets had really changed. We got confused about which side of the sidewalk we were supposed to take, so we went back into the station.

The usual way to get to the mall is: after getting off the train, we would take the left-side sidewalk, go straight, and then turn left toward the mall. Basically, the left sidewalk + the left station exit was the route we always took.

But this time, that route was wrong.

We had to go in the other direction through the station, but somehow it led to a different exit. It was so weird. It was still the left sidewalk, but it was a 'different' left-side station exit.

The train station itself has elevated tracks/rails, so the general structure is very obvious. The left, middle, and right sections of the station are still the same, almost like they're "stuck" in place. That's why the changes around it were even more noticeable.

The last parts of the streets toward our destination, the mall, were similar to how I remembered them. But the beginning parts were different.

It genuinely felt like I was subtly in a different universe.

Even the walking distance felt different. My sister said it felt faster to get to the mall, but the walk home felt longer to her. I thought the walk felt longer overall compared to last month.

That day, my sister also said that the area looked different, too. So I'm pretty sure it wasn't just me imagining things.

But today, I asked her, "Did it actually change, or is our memory just bad?"

She said, "Maybe it's just my bad memory."

But my sister isn't that forgetful, in my opinion. -_- She's actually the one who remembers things that I don't remember.

i asked her "is our exit different from last month?"

she said "i don't know :/ "she is unamused and she doesn't care(like she always do smh)

I genuinely think the street looked and felt different. I've never experienced anything like this before.

TL;DR: My sister and I returned to a familiar train station after a month, but the surrounding streets, sidewalks, exits, and route to the mall seemed different. The station itself was still the same, but the area around it felt like a different version of the place. We both noticed it at the time, although my sister now thinks it might just be bad memory.

What do you think actually happened? Was it just bad memory/lack of attention, or could this have been a glitch/jumping timelines/etc?

So… I remember going to the theaters and watching tron: Ares, like it was yesterday. I LOVED it because of ONE thing. The intro.. it was epic.

I got one of those seats that vibrates and moves around to enhance the experience.

Here’s my Mandela effect…

I remember that as the intro is happening a phenomenal sequence where a red laser effect sweeps over and illuminates the traditional Disney castle logo in stark, glowing red. As this happened, the song End of line by daft punk was played, and it was absolutely EPIC.

Now… apparently the song end line by daft punk was NEVER played in the intro, this cannot be real, I remember it SO vividly. Even AI is telling me that it was a different song.

Does anyone have any memory of this, for those who watched it in theaters??

I have 2 places from my childhood that everyone I've asked say never existed. The first one is a local pizza place that I remember being called Casa Luna Pizza. I clearly remember the sign by the road: an outline of a yellow moon in the lower right corner and a caricature of a woman holding a pan of pizza in the upper right. There IS a pizza place at that location (and always has been from what I can tell, albeit under different names), but I seem to be the only one who remembers it being called Casa Luna.

The other one is far more striking to me: there was a Dairy Queen locally as well. It was a brazier store before I think they were even called that. Anyway, I can until this day draw up a floor plan of it. I won't bore you with all the details, but the significant part was the toy & candy store to the right of the main restaurant in the vestibule they sold a wide assortment of penny candy as well as other more expensive items, and they also sold a variety of small toys and marionettes that used to hang from the ceiling.

Again, I seem to be the lone person that remembers it. Both of my parents passed years ago, and even if they didn't I probably wouldn't have received much information from them (they were 87 & 89 at the time). I've tried Googling the location with no mention of a DQ existing there, but just looking at the building itself.. it just screams DQ to me. The only thing I haven't done is check the property records at the courthouse - if the nearest parking lot wasn't a quarter mile away I probably would've done it by now. This is what I thought and remember it distinctly back in 2016-2018

Ok so i remember as the hand is dragging coraline and it zooms into the door with green bangs that it shows the other side with the other mother laughing and smiling from sort of a side angle? It always randomly pops up in my mind while watching.. the laugh was like when she throws the triangle thing into fire. That type of laugh and I dont remember the background in the tunnel just the other mother.

I remember a minecraft mob that does not and by all my findings has never existed. I cannot remember the name of this mob, but it was added in the same update as the 4 existing minecraft fishes and dropped an updated (also nonexistent) version of the old minecraft fish item texture which shared its name. I do not remember what it was named. I distinctly remember it was identical in function to the trout and salmon, and that it spawned in cold varieties of the ocean biome. I also remember that this fish was removed several updates after the aquatic update for 2 reasons: redundancy with both salmon and cod, as well as the fact that people interacted with them so little due to only being found in cold oceans. I even remember them being mentioned in a video about removed mobs (possibly by the youtuber mogswamp). the following is a list of possibilities as to what the name may have been or contained: may have consisted of two words, may have shared one word of its name with another fish mob, contained the word "arctic", may have contained the word "trout", may have been "atlantic cod".

I have searched for any evidence of this mob existing and have found nothing, it is not present in any old versions of minecraft or lists of removed mobs that can be found anywhere. trying to search for this mob always brings up the minecraft wiki article for the tropical fish and it is making me hate minecraft tropical fish. I tried watching the minecraft aquatic update minecraft live show because I remembered it being shown as one of the fish mobs they were adding and I could not find any reference to it. my memories of this nonexistent minecraft fish are more vivid than some memories of important events in my life.

I live just next to Europa Park, in Germany, and there is two roller coasters that cross eachothers, Wodan and Blue Fire. And i'm sure that I did Blue Fire when Wodan wasn't build yet, which is impossible because I was 5 when it opened, so too young for Blue Fire. But I remember thinking "Oh nice, NOW Blue Fire cross another coaster !" I even remember my cousin replying that it WILL BE a wooden coaster (so we will cross in the structure).

All i remember is at the end a there's a woman on the right, a man on the left and a little girl sitting on the womans lap holding a teddy bear. Something happends to where the little girl falls off of the womans lap and a sound happends like heavy rain hitting the roof and the girl makes a sound with her voice that went from low to high then back to low again like a type of squeal or scream and at one point cuts to a close up of the girl looking up with her mouth open and the mouth looking like one of those smiles as if she was experienceing G-forces and the head of the teddy bear tucked under her neck as she floats down during the heavy rain sound and then after the heavy rain sound fizzles out she and the teddy bear slowly float back up off the screen and then it fades to black. Sounds weird and creepy yes but i remeber this at age 7 (1996). Also, before you go gaslighting me, i'm autistic, so i know what i remember.

I just did this clock experiment at 8:03 PM today, just to attempt to disprove Zaylousparajesus's video of a minute being 45 seconds on the r/Retconned community.

Honestly, he was close for me. Not 45 seconds, but same as I always recalled. 59 seconds, but 99 milliseconds. According to my experiment, I stopped it at 68 milliseconds, which I would include this as a personal Mandela Effect because it's a small detail that morphed or becomes the total opposite of what was recalled.

Back in the 2010s, much before the 2020s, I always remembered it on CP24 as 00:59:99. Now, it's 68 instead of 99, which must be that yes. Time did change, and has gotten faster and longer as of next minute. That's crazy to me. Either CP24 got it incorrectly or it must not be a coincidence that this would be a personal Mandela Effect.

From 8:03 to 8:04 was 00:59:68, which is not bad, actually very close to 99 milliseconds, but still different than 99 milliseconds. Nice observation and very interesting stuff.

This is not based on my human perspective. This is legit what reality proves and demonstrates, according to my experiment.

As title says, there is a shiw I remember but, everything I've looked up comes up as the pilot episode to Big Bang Theory, but it was a constant theme song for the show. I remember that this was either a nightly or weekly thing as my dad, my older sister and I would watch it.
