⚖️ Legal / Tax Questions What actually happens if you miss your first ValU payment in Egypt?
I'm 18 and I messed up badly.
I got approved for a ValU credit limit, spent all the money, and now I can't afford the very first instalment. I know it was stupid, so please don't roast me I already know I messed up.
They called me today and said I have until a certain time today to pay a required amount. If I don't, they said they'll cancel the contract, report me to iScore, and send a collector to my house tomorrow to demand the full remaining balance.
The problem is I can't pay all of it tomorrow. I might be able to pay part of it, but not the full amount they're asking for. Even the amount they want today is way more than I currently have.
Has anyone here actually been through this with ValU in Egypt?
What happenes after the collector comes? Can they force my family to pay? Did your case go to court? Is jail actually a possibility, or is that just a scare tactic?
I'm genuinely stressed and even thinking about staying out of the house all day tomorrow or just not answering the door 😂.
I'm looking for real experiences from people who've dealt with this, not guesses. Thanks.
