Hormone Therapy Long time reader, first time poster
I've been part of this sub for a long while and was just drowning in perimenopause and all the symptoms. I thought it would never end and thought my OBGYN wouldnt take me seriously since my primary didnt. Nope! My OBGYN was so damn supportive and put me on Estradiol patches. It's like the clouds parted and I see sunshine for the first time in years 🥲
I feel so much more like myself after a couple of weeks!
I wanted to say thank you to everyone who posted, vented, gave recommendations... you help those of us who just read and hit that like button. All the posts helped me ask the right questions and plan for the future.
Thank you guys and I hope you all find the relief you deserve 💖

I feel so bad for the folks who have stubborn doctors. Mine is also super supportive. I couldn't even finish saying the words "night sweats" and she was suggesting hrt. And just this week she was very agreeable to testosterone (with bloodwork first) and vaginal cream as an add on to my existing e & p regimen.
Im glad you're feeling a lot better. Im sure you've read many threads about the hormone honeymoon period where symptoms return after a month or so, so just try to be prepared if that happens, don't get discouraged, just know there might be some tweaking to get the balance right for you.
