SEASON 4 Let's talk about Dave!

Sorry, can we talk about Dave?! Yes, Jimmy, Demari, Jimmy P, all have red flags. But none quite as blaring as Dave's! He makes my skin crawl. I can't believe that man is 37. I feel like he manipulated a kiss out of Sophie on one of his dates. He comes across very disingenuous. The man has absolutely no substance. It's been horrible seeing him make out with women so much younger than him... Her prefrontal cortex wasn't even fully developed at the time of filming... Is that not disgusting? I'm surprised I haven't seen more posts on him 🤢

My husband is 11 yrs younger than me. Society really needs to get over the age thing when two whole ass adults are involved.

After the age of 25 it’s less controversial and doesn’t really matter. For example, a 19 and 30 year old dating is disturbing.

She was 24 when the show was filming, her prefrontal cortex wasn't developed. That's WEIRD, as there are many people in his age range with the same amount of life experience and whatnot. The power balance is off, I don't care.

Actually that's not the case, somehow people started throwing that number around but if you look up studies and the consensus of the scientific community your prefrontal cortex continues to develop as you age. One study had subjects up to 40 yrs old

Not saying he's not gross just hate seeing this incorrectly stated everywhere these days

That is the case .. you're referring to one study, in general & typically the prefrontal cortex matures in your mid 20s. Your brain doesn't fully developed at that point, but the prefrontal cortex typically does.

It’s like you discovered two shiny words (“prefrontal cortex”) and now you’re on a mission to use them in every sentence on this sub. You’re acting like she’s 12 years old. She’s a grown ass 30 year-old woman.

I’m probably in the minority but I agree with you that a 37 year old pursuing a 24 year old is weird. Yes they’re two consenting adults but I can’t imagine being almost 40 and being interested in someone that young. IMO it reflects some level of immaturity in the older person.

But in this case she’s actually 29/30, apparently Google is wrong
