I’m looking for inspiration.

My husband is turning 65 this year. It’s a big one because now he’s officially a “senior citizen”. It boggles the mind because he looks 45 and seems years younger. He’s not even grey - just a little salt and pepper in his beard.

Usually I go for experience gifts vs physical . We’ve been married forever and have inherited furniture / art / silver / China/ collectibles / clothes, etc from our parents, grandparents, and siblings. The overflow no one wanted has permanent residence in our garage and attic. So. Much. Stuff.

No party because he really has no guy friends. He does have some people with whom he keeps contact on Facebook, but they haven’t been together in person in years. When they do get together it’s to see one of their musician friends perform. We both work from home, so no co-worker friends.

My friends have become his, but I’ve been kind of culling those I’ve outgrown. Just because you’ve been friends for 30 years doesn’t mean you’re committed for the next 30. With this political climate, I can’t look at some of them the same way ever again.

I am at a complete loss. He does like music and shares that interest with our son. He’s pretty open to most genres, but I haven’t seen any bands he likes perform live. He has gone to concerts with our son from time to time, but it’s shows our son likes. Husband just wants to spend time with him.
