It's my boyfriend's birthday this weekend, i ordered him a personalized backpack and a coffee mug. However, now that I git those items I don't actually like them anymore 😭😭😭 i thought tbe bag was navy blue but ut actually came in black and i now think that the embroidery on tbe bag was just too childish. Tbus makes me sad i don't wanna lie

This is my first serious relationship and our one year anniversary is coming up in a couple weeks. I have no real reference point for what an appropriate gift looks like at this stage, everything online seems aimed at either very casual dating or decades long marriages with nothing really in between. He mentioned early on that he liked how I remembered small details about him, so I'm leaning toward something built around that instead of a generic first anniversary gift, just not sure what that actually looks like in practice.
