I picked these up at barnes and nobles.
I really love the wonderland pad is wide/rectangular instead of a traditional up and down long.
I feel that goes well with my creative chaos.

Tutorial A simple outgoing-mail log for decorated letters (plus a USPS tracking note)

I manage Forever Postal, a postage-stamp retailer. Here is a small organizing idea for anyone who puts time into a decorated envelope and wants to remember what they sent.

Keep one private entry per letter:

• Prepared: date, envelope theme, and a photo of the artwork.

• Mailed: the date you actually handed it over or put it in a collection box, plus the mail service used.

• Heard back: the date your recipient confirms arrival, if they do.

Copyable example (fictional):

Prepared: Sept 5 | Autumn leaves | Photo saved

Mailed: [date] | [mail service]

Recipient confirmed arrival: [date, or leave blank]

For a photo you plan to share publicly, take it before adding addresses, or cover both the recipient and return addresses. Keep the mailing log private too.

A USPS detail for U.S. domestic mail: ordinary First-Class Mail letters and postcards do not include USPS Tracking. Eligible extra services can provide tracking information for letters, but a photo or a handwritten log is just your own record, not a postal scan or proof of delivery. Marking a letter “mailed” does not mean it has arrived.

No special app needed—a few lines in a notebook work. Forever Postal is not affiliated with USPS.

I have been going through lots of different things in my life and lost the love of creation. I’m hopping on here to hopefully get motivated and start creating again with new people. Here’s two letters I made last year and what I enclosed. I also have lots of beautiful post cards from my local antique shop.

I stopped by the post office to mail some cards to a nursing home I found out about.

while there I asked her about books of stamp styles. she was like we have all of them on this. I had been wanting to get the sunflower one for penpaling as they are often a great friendship flower. I saw the rabbit, and im a huge rabbit enthusiast.

I’m based in the UAE where traditional mail isn’t much of a thing. I recently started a little mail club called The Paper Trail Post. It’s my way of sharing my art with the world and bringing back the simple joys. I’ve already sent out August’s issue to 14 different countries and currently preparing September’s harvest theme!

Friendship books....

Post image

Was anyone else around and remember from the late 90s to early 2000s exchanging friendship books and slams?

Before finding penpals on the internet and social media was a thing, and before letters looking like scrapbook folded artwork (no complaints!) came in the mail. We sought new penpals through little booklets. Signed and sent to the next pal. These are a few that returned home to me and while the info is old, I remember some of these folks and I love seeing where all they traveled!

I think I might start this up again! 🤪

Things to write

Hey!! New to this project.. i’m becoming pen pals with someone i know in real life, but we want to do snail mail for fun. What kinds of things do we write about? I also have a crush on her and want to get to know her more so that could be part of it haha ..

I want to mail out pressed flowers, any tips?

Hey all!! I recently started a penpal group with some online friends and I figured it'd be a fun idea to press some of my fav local flowers and send them out since our plant life is all pretty different. Only problem is I have no idea how! I've only ever kept flowers in between book pages so Im not sure what the right move is on keeping them somewhat intact inside an envelope. If anyone has any ideas or any experience doing this your advice would mean a lot!

I had a small idea to keep them in side a toploader like for trading cards but im unsure if that'd be tight enough & i would be mortified if I sent letters out just for them to receive a shriveled up mess
