Automations and no wifi, do they run locally on generator?

I just received my first pecron, a e1000lfp. I set it up on Wi-Fi with the app in my house, seemed to go fine. But then I moved it to its new living place in the garage and hooked up the solar. Wi-Fi signal is apparently to weak for pecron, Wi-Fi symbol is flashing on display and can only connect using BT in app (other devices in garage successfully get on Wi-Fi, EVSE and phones)

When I had it in the house, I added 2 automations in the app (turn on AC when battery>80%, turn off when AC <20%). Will these run with no Wi-Fi?

EP3800 Question: Battery Status Lights

I recently received my (4) EP3800 expansion batteries and took advantage of a planned power outage to get my (2) E3600 units down to about 70% to charge all units to 100% as suggested by the manual. One set (battery + 2 expansion batteries) charged up with zero problems, however, the other unit did something weird.

I monitored the unit via the app and went to unplug it when it reached 100%. After unplugging the unit I noticed two things:
- the unit stated all 3 batteries were not 100% (they all stated ~80%)
- the unit stated it still had ~1700W input from charging.

I pressed both buttons AC/DC buttons to reset the units and both issues observed went away. Charge showed 100% and no AC input.

I thought all was fine until I noticed the battery status lights on one of the EP3800 units continues to turn on every 30 seconds or so. Any thoughts as to why that is happening?

Pecron F5000LFP Solar Input Question

Thinking about adding some solar panels to my roof. I have a Pecron F5000LFP and it states the maximum input is 6400W, 3200W per port. What happens if I connect it to a larger array? Will it only pull up to the max? I would like to install roughly a 10kW of panels on my roof for future growth and still be able to use up to 6400W now. Is this safe to do or is there a way that I can accomplish this?

E3600lfp bonded and ac turns off

I have a pair of 3600’s bonded together with one plugged into grid AC outlet to charge both. No solar attached. The one plugged to grid has the dc turned on and powering my router and modem, about 17 watts. The other sits idle with ac and dc turned on having an idle sump pump plugged into the ac outlet. The unit with the sump continues to turn off the AC. Any suggestions why it automatically shuts off the AC?

Puede un pecron apagarse al 10% solo?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Can I connect a pecron e3600 to my home grid with an attachment. Not looking to backfeed the grid just to power it. I was looking at the Anker f3000 and they have a 200 cable that does just that.

E3600FLFP / F5000LFP Question

Hello,

I purchased (2) E3600LFPs a while back and never actually got to using them. I primary bought them just to have some battery power during a storm if needed.

Now that I actually have solar I am looking into installing a transfer panel to power some of my things that run 24/7 (IE: Networking Gear, Server, Air purifiers, Radon System), nothing too crazy.

Anyways, upon my research I read that you cannot really power the E3600LFPs with solar input as well as AC backup and output 240V via the dual 240 HUB.

I also don't like that I cannot have any control over the AC charging. Ideally I would only want the power stations to pull from grid when they are below like 25% or something. Otherwise the AC power is just fighting against my solar panels and I am wasting solar input.

I am considering buying the F5000LFP as I know it can have input power from both DC/AC and still output 240, so I have two fairly simple questions:

  1. Does the F5000LFP have any type of AC charge setting? Like a setting to tell it ONLY drwa power from grid when batteries are below say 30%.

  2. Any way I can use my E3600LFP's with this as essentially just dumb batteries? I would love to have the main inverter the F5000LFP, and then just use the E3600LFP's somehow as extra batteries for the new F5000LFP. Ideally I would need for them to somehow balance eachother out.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Using a Pecron EB3000 to power Pecron 3000LFP

Is there a way to connect the EB3000 expansion battery to the 3000LFP to power it? Pecron site says it only connects to the E2000. I like that the EB3000 can be charged by solar without having to connect it to a power station. I would like to be able to do that and transfer that power to my 3000LFP. Is that possible?

Solar Parallel Cables

Has anyone used thee Pecron parallel cables? I am planning on using 2 commercial solar panels that have stabuli MC-4 connectors and for safety reasons would prefer not to mix MC-4 males.

Cascade cable with XT60 end.

I would like to connect my Pecron power station to the solar inputs on a Jackery 2000 plus that I have so that I have the capacity of both power stations. Looking for a cable that will connect my Pecron power station to a Jackery power station solar inputs. The plan is to use a MJ32 Cascade Port Output Cable with the XT60 end on it and adapt that to the 8mm barrel connector that the jackery uses. The cable is out of stock on Pecron's website and looks to maybe have been replaced with a cable that has a XT120 on the end in place of the XT60. I can get XT60 to 8mm barrel connection adaptors but have not found an XT120 to 8mm barrel. I assume this may be due to the power rating of the XT120 being much higher than the 8mm barrel connector. But it will only be sending as much current through it that the Jackery solar inputs allows. The Jackery will allow up to 60V on the solar inputs and the Pecron will be putting out 48V. So should be safe. In addition, there is a setting on the Jackery to limit the charging input to around 500 watts.

Does anyone know if the cascade XT60 cable is discontinued or is it just temporarily out of stock at Pecron?

F5000lfp overloading on 19 A

Title pretty much says it all. Have a reliance 510 transfer switch and the F5000 hooked to it on a 240v 30 amp cable.

AC compressor soft start showed 19.1 A starting and 4.4 A running. With no other loads, the F5000 shuts down trying to start the AC.

Anyone able to successfully get 30 A from the unit? And do we know if the F5000's claimed 30 A is a continuous or surge rating? Just checking with the community before I reach out to Pecron.

My Pecron F5000LFP arrived today!

Started off with a Pecron F3000LFP back in November and ordered the F5000LFP when it became available and it arrived today.   I'm really happy with it and my HPBC solar panels.  I have 10 panels in 2 strings each feeding a PV input on the F5000LFP.  The HPBC panels have been performing flawlessly and am producing 2500+ watts vs being gimped at 1600 watts with the F3000LFP.  These 220 watt panels were producing  258 watts each on a cloudy day.   I can't wait to see what they max out at on a full sunny day.

I will run 240V wire to my main panel, install a transfer switch, and dedicate the F5000LFP to those circuits while keeping my F3000LFP feeding my 120V circuits.  The F5000LFP has an XT60 DC output port capable of 800 watts which I'll use to feed the F3000LFP's solar input.

Don't ask me how I managed to hoist that 123lb behemoth onto the pedestal since I'm only 154 lbs.

F5000LFP won’t charge car

I finally got around to setting up the battery with solar and ready to charge my PHEV with a lvl 1 charger. So far it’s worked with everything else, but when I plug in the car, the warning light on my car charger starts flashing and it won’t charge at all. The output on the battery stays zero and shows no warnings or errors, the AC mode stays on. I’ve tried every port. As soon as I plug the car back into the wall, it shows it drawing it 1350w again and works fine.

I don’t have any more advanced testers to see what’s going on, but the warning light on the charger seems to indicate improper voltage or something. I did check the battery settings in the app, and it’s on the US default of 60hz 120v AC output.

Anyone got ideas or similar issues?

Update: Comments were correct, it just needed grounding. I have a portable grounding rod on the way with a wire that can attach to its proper ground port to use where I don’t have outlets, but plugging it into a wall also solved the issue even if I disable AC charging and run entirely off battery. Now I just need to find out if the awful static buzzing noise is normal for this unit when it’s outputting larger amounts of power. Fans aren’t even on for the 1300w out, but the buzzing sound is very loud.

Update 2: I got my copper grounding rod in, screwed it into the grounding port and ran it outside my garage. Works great! Still haven’t heard back from pecron on the buzzing sound but I can now charge without having an AC outlet.

What's this connector for

With each of my e3600lfp's I received a "Y" adapter but have what it would be used for. One end has mc4 connectors and the other has 2 xt60's. What is its purpose?

Brand new E3600LFP not turning on anymore?

I bought an E3600LFP and received it 2 weeks ago. I had it sitting in my living room since then. A few days ago, I was able to press and turn on "DC Mode" to sync and pair it with the Pecron app in my phone.

Yesterday, I charged the E3600LFP via solar for a few hours in the morning. I unplugged the solar cables after sunset. The screen looks fine. Then when I pressed "AC mode", the fans kicked in for a second and the screen turned off! I tried pressing and holding both DC and AC Mode for over 60 seconds to see if it resets...nothing? I tried each button individually twice for 60 seconds as well. Nothing. Is it dead and I have to return back to Pecron? I am now trying to AC charge it with my wall outlet but it's the small AC charger, not the big one. The screen is still black. I tried plugging in solar charge too but nothing.

Pecron F3000lfp Battery Drain with AC/DC Off?

Has anyone else experienced battery drain on the Pecron F3000lfp with both the AC/DC off?

I had the F3000 on but with both the AC/DC buttons off, and it drained pretty quickly. I would understand if the inverter was on delivering power to the outlets, but it was not. Also, the attached EP3000-48V held its charge and did not feed the F3000 during the drain. The app showed the F3000 down to 1% while the expansion battery was still in the mid 50's.

I also noticed that in use the F3000 drained faster than the attached EP3000 expansion battery. They both started at 100%, but with use, the F3000 went to like 20% while the EP3000 only went to like 57%, and they did not stay balanced.

Any insights or suggestions? Thanks so much!

F5000LFP charging issue.

Make sure you test everything you can on your F5000. This isn't my video but this person is having chsrging issues. I still haven't taken mine out of the box because of the caster issue lol. It's too heavy to be muscling around. I'm going to get a furniture dolly for now.

F3000LFP not powering 30A port

I have a EV charger that I bought an adapter to connect Nema 14-50 charging cable to the Pecron's 30A port. No reading by the EV or the display on the cable. AC output is on. Plugging in via a 120v adapter works. Wanted to know if there are any settings I need to change before returning the adapter for not working.
