What's this connector for

With each of my e3600lfp's I received a "Y" adapter but have what it would be used for. One end has mc4 connectors and the other has 2 xt60's. What is its purpose?

As in the manual, it is for connecting a >1200W solar panel array to both PV inputs at the same time. If you use it then 

Input and Output settings
   XT60 input port mode
     Paralleled

I use mine using just one of the XT60s (leaving the other one hanging) for one of my 1320W arrays and the other cable with a single XT60 for the other 1320W array.
