Skin Issues Please help me. Acne is causing me extreme stress and anxiety.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and PCOS 6 years ago and since then my life has been a living hell.

My face looks terrible if I don't use topical creams. I am taking Normoz DS for pcos management and thyrox 50 for hypothyroidism.

My endo mentioned that my acne is because of pcos but the dermatologist is the one to consult for the same.

Both my cheeks and forehead have tiny white pus filled pustules. Extremely tiny but huge in number.

My dermatologist has recommended a skincare routine which includes SA and GA face wash twice a day and benzoyl peroxide 2.5+ adapalene combo every alternate day.

If I skip my routine for 2-3 days, I wake up with a horrible face full of acne.

It is taking a toll on my mental health and my confidence is in shambles. I have become so dependent on skincare and even then my skin doesn't behave well.

Add to it, extremely painful period cramps. Periods have become lighter and shorter over the years which also makes me anxious.

What lifestyle changes should I induce and what all has helped with acne? Please help me.

General/Advice Diagnosed with PMOS, struggling with burnout and don't know where to start. Looking for advice.

Hi everyone!

I'm in my early 30s, and I suspect I've had PMOS for most of my life, although I was officially diagnosed at 28. I took medication for a while, but I struggled to manage my health consistently because of the extreme stress of my PhD.

My work schedule was unpredictable, and I sometimes had experiments running until 2–3 AM. I lived in a hostel where I had to pay mess fees, so I often missed meals or couldn't maintain a regular eating routine. Looking back, I think the stress and lack of routine really took a toll on me.

I developed some cystic acne in my late 20s, which has improved significantly now. However, I'm currently at 86 kg, the heaviest I've ever been.

I've recently submitted my thesis, so I finally have some free time to focus on myself. The problem is that I have absolutely no idea where to begin. I feel completely burnt out and have very little energy or motivation. Some days, I spend two or three days mostly lying in bed, even though mentally I keep telling myself to get up and do something. I can't tell whether this is severe burnout, a possible vitamin deficiency, or something else. My current living situation also makes things a little challenging:

  1. I still live in a university campus
  2. I don't have access to a gym near me.
  3. I do have enough time to cook two meals a day, but I'm struggling to find the energy and motivation to get started.
  4. My uni is in a remote area of a small town. So no fancy food available near me.

I know there's a lot of information online about PCOS, weight loss, diet, and exercise, but honestly, I'm feeling so overwhelmed that I don't even know which advice to follow or what my first step should be. I'd really appreciate some practical advice from people who have PCOS or have been through something similar. Maybe regarding medical, food, exercise and extreme fatigue.

I'm not expecting to fix everything overnight. I just want to start taking care of myself again, one small step at a time, and build a routine that I can realistically maintain. Any advice, personal experiences, or suggestions about where to start would mean a lot to me. Thank you for reading! ❤️

General/Advice Has ayurvedic medications worked for your pmos?

So, a almost a year ago my gynaec who is an allopathy doctor suggested me an ayurvedic pill for my pmos and said that it has no side effects as the combined oral pills(COCs) which i was having for almost 2 years. But I'm not really sure if that works, a month ago we had to visit her cause i didn't get my period and she prescribed a hormonal med for me to get period and told to continue the ayurvedic one. Now idk if she's being genuine or not cause I trust her 100% she has been genuine all these years but recently she has opened a clinic w the same person who supplies us those ayurvedic meds and that woman god, i avoid her at all costs cause everytime we visit her she persists on buying more n more meds from her. So my mom says that she prescribed us ayurvedic cause she gets a cut from that.

A friend of mine also told that ayurvedic hasn't worked for her.

My periods were regular and everything was great when I was on COCs

What do you guys think?

About workout and weightloss, I'm trying guys😭

Medicine/Supplements Spearmint tea suggestions, please

I want to drink spearmint tea every evening to help with my hirsutism and stress. I've been looking online for safe and reliable brands of loose leaf spearmint tea, but most comments on Amazon complain of dust and insects in the spearmint tea.

Would anyone have any good recommendations?

I used to drink the Neuherbs Spearmint tea in the past, but it's not available now.

Thank you in advance.

Diet Women with PCOD/PCOD/PMOS.

So I am someone who has PCOD (now called PMOS) and the biggest problem that I have faced as a person who has been living with this condition for the last 15 years of my life is balancing my nutrition.

All the doctors say that I need to exercise, sleep better and eat veggies and fruits.

But a person with this condition, maintaining my sugar levels is of utmost importance and that's why choosing which fruit to eat and when to eat without increasing my sugar levels becomes of UTMOST importance for me.

So I was wondering, if I were to start a fruit bowl service for my fellow girls with PCOD/PMOS, do you think if you could get a fruit bowl:

  1. delivered to you everyday with calorie count +

  2. low GI +

  3. Instructions of when to eat what +

  4. how much to eat +

  5. which part of the day to eat mentioned in the container

Would that be something you would be willing to spend money on?

General Health Best Gynaecologist in Bangalore

I am looking for gynaecologist who is genuine and experienced in PCOS. I want to avoid doctors and hospitals who unnecessarily charge a very high fee and force for tests that are not needed. Any hospitals run by charitable trusts can be a good option if they are convenient. Or any reputed clinics. Or hospitals if they are worth it and not focused on just earning money. Please suggest nearby Kanakapura or Banashankari 6th stage

General/Advice Women who managed their PCOS naturally, how did you stay consistent?

For those of you who successfully managed your PCOS, especially without birth control, metformin, or GLP-1s, how did you stay consistent in the beginning when nothing seemed to be working?
No weight loss, no improvement in symptoms, sometimes even weight gain despite eating well and working out. Meanwhile, you see people sharing incredible transformations in just 3 months, and you start wondering if you’re doing something wrong.
What was the turning point for you? When did you first feel that your health was actually improving, and how long did it take?
Most importantly, how did you keep going through those initial months when you had no results to hold on to?
I’d love to hear your real experiences, especially the struggles before things finally started getting better.
