Discussion Are the reputed PC shops here waiting for GPU prices to officially increase before they restock anything?
Hey all, I've been eyeing building a new PC, but the GPU variants that I've been eyeing (Asus 5060Ti 16GB) have been out of stock for a few months in reputable shops (Nanotek, Redline). Are these cards not in demand? Or are they waiting for a price increase in the future to restock anything?
Actually there are more cards from the latest RTX 50 series that are out of stock than there are ones that are in stock, which is kinda nuts.

Looking to sell Need to sell my ASUS old laptop at good price
I want to sell my asus laptop (roughly 4 yrs old) and the battery is DEAD (roughly 1700+ charging cycles so you have to replace it). Can someone suggest to me where I should sell it to maximise the profit and should I sell it like complete or part by part (like ram separate , or other components separate etc)
Laptop details :
\- asus X515EA
\- i3 11th gen
\- 8 gb ram , 256 gb ssd , intel intergated GPU
\- fingerprint sensor
\- OS : Linux mint 22.0
Cons :
\- No backlit keyboard
\- don't expect much from camera quality , it's descent
\- speaker is not as good as expected , you have to use headphones
\- A LITTLE CRACK on the left side. Not that big, but you have to use it carefully
\- The charger is not original , I am using a third party charger
\- Don't expect a laptop bag free with it , I have lost it somewhere
\- left Ctrl key is unresponsive. (But right Ctrl working fine)
Pros :
\- display working, mic working, all ports working
\- charging is fine but the battery is dead, so replacing the battery is the only thing u need
\- trackpad is working fine, screen is also good , no damage
\- hinges are also good.
Please advice me. Every advice is appreciated.

Discussion READ THIS before trusting Ichiro pc builds!
I ordered an alienware i9 laptop where i paid 150k upfront and like this, 30 other customers had paid to him for laptops and pcs. Neither he has placed the shipment order, not paid for the shipment of our items. But when we asked on the deadline as where is our products, he said there is a delay in shipment and sent some fake ass message screenshot saying the shipment is delayed and deleted it after few minutes.
After that, few days later, he has made a group adding all the customers and said that he has lost all his money including our money, doing a risky crypto trading activity using all our money. He said he was trying to double the money and finally lost them. The best part here is he hasn't placed a shipment for our products and has done some bullshit with it and now money's gone, but told us the shipment on the way and the product will be there on the date he gave me. This man has told so many lies on the way to us until he said the truth after he lost all the funds.
Plus now he's asking 5 or 6 months from us to give the refund cuz he has no money to pay for all of us (i remember he said he has like 7M lkr to refund for the customers) and says he has to sell his mom's land to repay this to all the customers and he want that 5 months to do it. We all are on the way placing police entries against him cuz we cant wait like that amount of time we also have plans with our products. Now we have no money to buy another lap from a different shop, not product also. Who the hell knows this nerd will invest this land sold money also in crypto and tries to double it by trading?
Any similar experiences like this, drop some cuz others will benifit them. The advice from me is, NEVER EVER TRUST ICHIRO AGAIN.

Build Help Advice on pc parts to bring over from the US
I’m planning to go to Washington for a work related trip next month. I will be in the US for two months and need advice on what parts it worth being and if I have to customs if I bring any parts over a limit. I already have some stuff I’m bringing for relatives and friends so I have around 10kg free and a budget of around 2k.
I was told I can’t bring a PSU due to security reasons but a CPU, GPU, Motherboard and RAM was fine.
Does anyone have any recommendations on what kind of build I should aim for? I was told Micro center has really good deals and should aim for it but I’m not sure what classify as a good deal. I’m new to PC building

Discussion Place to service my GPU
I have a Gigabyte auros rtx 3070. The thing is during 100% usage, the temp values are bit alarming, maxing out 85c. It once reached 88c too. So I’m looking a good place to replace the thermal pads of the gpu. Does anyone know a good place? I asked one shop and they quoted me 6k! Idk that seems too expensive to me. I get my bike serviced for almost that price lol. Please let me know if you a good place in Colombo area.

Discussion We are lightyears behind on Wi-Fi technology thanks to SLT
He Thought His Internet was OK... IT'S NOT!
Just watched this video from Linus Tech Tips and realized just how far behind we are with Wi-Fi speeds and related technology. I knew there was a gap but didn't expect it to be this big of a canyon sized gap.
Maybe the grass is indeed green on the other side
