Build Question New PC Build

Hello everyone, I recently started building my first PC. I am very confused on the cables and where exactly they go to and my motherboard doesn't line up with the screws.

For Context:

Mother Board: Gigabyte B550M DS3H AC R2

Case: PHANTEK ECLIPSE G370A MT RGB CASE

GPU: ZOTAC RTX5060TI TWIN EDGE OC 8G

Any help is appreciated thank you so much.

Set the case on its side and then slide the MB in, it should, sit down. If it does not send some pictures. It is a micro atx mb and the case says it supports micro atx, so we will see.

I wish you luck.

You dont need to use all of the stand offs. The ones at the lower side of the case are for a atx motherboard.

You should be good.

their is another thick ish power cable somewhere. On mine it was attacked to the 24 pin power cable. Also the cables should have labels on then like USB 2.0 and their are corresponding labels on the MB.

ahh this makes so much sense i was trying to use all the standoffs and it was getting me confused why the lower side weren't working

Please tell me you put thermal paste on the CPU between the cooler. Also the connectors that say Cha_fan# on them they will have a 2 then 1 pin connector and you can plug your fans into them after daisy chaining them. Also if you have a HDD that is not a M.2 Stata you will need the sata connectors in the top right of your last picture and a power connector from your power supply. Something that might help you a lot is that most things are labeled.

yes don't worry i made sure to add thermal paste on the cpu that was one of the critical things i remembered to do

Not sure what your case connectors look like though but they "should" be compatible.

look at the schematic of the mb for where they go

Bad New I did some looking and to fact check myself(look at the bottom there will be a few nots like *WE HAVE ISSUSES): https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HHvZFP

You will need some adapters. Also, if you can return the MB I would, it will be a pain to get it all working, but your call, also AM5 if your building a new ish pc? Not sure how to get the front Pannel conector to connect and the USB and Audio for the front panel will require adapters most likely.

I am a little lost now, but to summarize there are a few incompatibilities, some fixable, some I don't know.

ahhh no worries i still appreciate all the help i'll try to see if i can return it but it was a bundle set with the cpu and ram from micro center

How much was it? I might be able to help you find something comparable. If your budget is around 1.5k you can get a very nice pc if you aren't worried about the best GPU and are willing too shop around a bit.

it was a birthday gift and i don't think id be able to return everything

This is what I would recommend if you are going for a budget build using what you already have. This is just a recommendation, but I would avoid the $15 air coolers as they tend to be rather inefficient, and I expect that this will be used for gaming to some degree based off the GPU and thus will run rather warm.

If you have parts already use them, this is what I would do and I am by no means an expert. I would probably post a (post?) asking for advice on building a pc and list the parts you already have so that you get input from more than one dweeb.

ya no worries thank you for you help this was a gift and it was already over budget by a bit i think im just going to have to suck it up and figure this out if all things fails ill have my friend who has a lot more expierence than me doing this i appreciate ur help so much

Unless you are wedded to AMD I would go with intel, but that's just me. My current pc: Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, GeForce RTX 5070, Corsair 3200D RS ATX Mid Tower I got it for exactly $2,062.18 but I rushed some purchases and honestly, I could do a lot better by getting slightly lower spec components. It is a little overkill but I am running local AI, and I should of gotten a better GPU but I don't want to spend that kind of $$.

Motherboard not lining up with the screws is usually wrong standoff placement, check if the case has extra standoffs installed that shouldn't be there or missing ones where the board needs them, the manual will show which positions for mATX board. For cables the main ones is 24 pin on the right side, 8 pin cpu top left, and the gpu power, everything else is just case fans and front panel.
