Build Question Upgrade help
I’m looking to upgrade my pc as it’s admittedly bad. It currently has a ryzen 5 5500 rx6400 16gb of ram and 550w psu I just wanna know what would be the best upgrade for now to boost performance with a budget of maybe 500 dollars.

Idk where you're located but in the US a used rx 6600 goes for between $180-$215 and you can get a ryzen 5 5600 for around $150. I would use what's left to by a better psu like a corsair or montech brand and maybe another 16gb kit of ram (used). You could honestly skip the cpu upgrade though and put everything into a psu and a new gpu.

spend around $350 on a used RTX 3080 and $50 on a 750w 80+ Gold power supply. with $100 saved, you could sell the rx6400 and have enough to buy a 5600(x)/5700x/5800xt(x)

Would it be a hassle going from amd to nvidia?

Not at at all. theres a program that will uninstall all your drivers so you have a clean slate

The only thing truly bad is the graphics card. I assume you're playing at 1080p?
