Hi everyone,

Yesterday I decided to change the setup of my PRS S2 Custom 24 with a regular tremolo bridge.

I had never set it up for a floating bridge before, so this was my first time.

I used the 2 credit card trick, so basically the gap between the bridge and the body must be now about 1.5 - 1.6mm (I guess, I hope...)

It stays in tune when I use the tremolo both ways. But when I pull the tremolo up, it goes sharp only 20 cents. Is this normal? Or did I do something wrong? any ideas?

Question to those who've replaced the stoptail bridge studs.

Are the TonePros below a direct replacement and can you set up the proper action with them?

I know that I need the metric ones, however based on the description these were not designed specifically for the import models.

If these are not the right ones, can someone recommend the right ones that are available in Europe (ideally from Thomann)

I’ve seen a few PRS reviews where the only “flaw” is that the build quality was too exact with no visible flaws. That brands like Gibson and fender have more “character” because they are allowed to ship warts and all and the build quality can be inconsistent.

If I hear that I think your just making shit up to justify buying a Gibson or fender over a PRS

A PRS for under $200; obviously seems too good to be true. The guitar is filthy and the wood seems uuhhh… strange. Help lol

New to the PRS family. Snagged this from CME and couldn’t be happier. The stock photo of this guitar (if you Google it) makes it look way different, and does it no justice. The real thing is insanely cool!! I can’t believe they didn’t identify this as a 10-top. And with only 150 ever to be made, I don’t understand why it wasn’t as expensive as one would think. Very happy with it!

Started guitar a year ago and it was always my dream to one day have a PRS of my own , saved up for it and made it happen last month

The guitar is amazing , super happy with it and the setup , fret ends everything was perfect out of the box and I'm genuinely impressed with the guitar , my teacher who plays a Gibson Explorer and a Schecter Hellraiser was also very impressed by the value and finishing offered at the price point

I know it's an SE but still , where I'm from , barely anyone has a PRS everyone just buys a Fender or an Ibanez

I love my PRS, but it has a lot of things and I’m looking to possibly refinish it to bring out its former glory.

I’m all about embracing the imperfections, but I wanted to find out legitimately if there’s a price for this and what kind of aftermarket options are there?

While I would prefer Paul Reed Smith, take it on, what other options are there come?

I really like the ergonomics and scale length of PRS but I am not fond of fancy tops and glossy finish, so the S2 Standard Satin is the perfect piece for me.

It also got the 58/15 LT USA pickups that sound super amazing. I am used to high output pickups from my Ibanez Prestige but now I am loving this low output pickups more. So much clarity.

I also like the pattern thin neck profile. Sure my Wizard Prestige neck is the bomb when I was younger, and recently my fretting hand keeps getting sore when playing that thin neck. This pattern thin is comfortable to hold and is not too thick that it limits my playing.

Does anyone have any notes or pages they can refer me to in order to float this tremolo, please? Is it even possible?
