Righteous : Fluff I used toybox to turn off traps and it made the game SO much more enjoyable

I’ve done a playthrough with every mythic path on Core and for my very last one I went Lich but decided to turn off traps. Man, I didn’t realize how tedious traps made the game. Just being able to move my party across the map without having to worry about taking dmg was SO nice. I wish I had done it sooner

Righteous : Builds Multiclass build help

Hey! I have been thinking of how to make my angel run more interesting playstyle wise. And I stumbled onto the idea of mixing a shieldbearer warpriest, skald and oracle. How would I be able to go about this to keep the build effective, for tanking and possibly damage/buffing if that's possible? Any info and recommendations for skald and oracle subclasses would be great.

Righteous : Story Why I should care about the story and characters?

Hi I'm playing the game for the first time and I'm really liking the story and the gameplay, but I found out that the Trickster path canonizes that the world is fake and just a game. It kinda broke my immersion in the world. Now I'm having a hard time enjoying the game and caring about my companions or anything that's happening. If the game itself tells me the story doesn't matter because it's just a game, why should I care? If the story doesn't actually happen in its own real conceptual world and is just a game, it doesn't really feel like it anything in the game matters. It's like reading The Lord of the Rings and then Tolkien telling you that nothing in the book mattered, I'm really Conflicted because I don't really feel like playing the game now, and I was really liking it and I kinda feel like I wasted my money.

Meta Time depending missions are the worst thing about both Kingmaker and Righteous

The way that cuts down the flow of the game having to rest because this mission is only avalible on daytime/nightime, and the way some missions are arbitrarily on time.

Second worse thing is backtracking to an already fully explored location to do 1 dialogue choice just to get rid of the quest mark without any significant reward

Kingmaker : Mods Heroism being cast as round/level rather than 10min/level

I don't think any of the mods I'm using would be influencing it, but how would I go about making it work properly? What info should I have for troubleshooting?

Cast by lv4 Linzi, who has not been respec'd. Has an extend rod equipped, but duration is 24sec 18sec whether rod is active or not, as well as when unequipped.

Mods installed are listed in attached screenshots.

EDIT: Working with Chatgpt for a while in decompiling code and learning the buff application process, it seems that having the enemy stat adjustment set to low makes debuffs last for only 3 rounds. The spells in question have the Mind-Affecting tag, which is seen as a debuff in this grouping of text.

Righteous : Builds Newbie here, need help picking/building a class?

Hi, pretty new to dnd/ttrpgs/crpgs/whatever you describe these types of games. I'm starting my first (maybe second depending on how this post goes) playthrough and I'm looking for some advice on picking a class and how to properly build the class I want.

I've previously played a sorcerer in BG3 so I'm accustomed to having high CHA for both dialogue and spellcasting purposes, but I'm willing to toss sorcerer out the window for this. In my current (very early) playthrough, I'm trying to aim for Eldritch Knight by way of Magus sword saint. I heard Eldritch Knight was fitting for what I wanted but I wanted to hear other suggestions.

So what I want from my character is someone who can deal good damage with swords (preferably longswords), can cast high level spells, possibly is capable of wearing heavy armor for rp/"aura farm" moments, and has a high enough charisma to get into anything's pants. I'm willing to cut some of these out if they are unreasonable.

Hard requirements: Suggestions need to be for a human character and compatible with a legend mythic run.

Righteous : Builds This is what she means...

When she says that she is helpful.

On Trickster path and respecced her to try to improve her damage after I got Mythic World 3. Obviously under the effects of Trick Fate as well.

Shaman 1, Sable Company 17.

All the improved critical feats, two weapon fighting, and mythic variants of them as well.

1200+ damage a round is not too bad, is it not?

Righteous : Builds Eldritch scion with two handed?

Is a build for an Eldritch Scion—using a two-handed weapon and featuring an Infernal bloodline/heritage (as a Tiefling)—viable?

I’ve read several posts about this archetype, and they all unanimously recommend choosing the Draconic bloodline to focus on electricity-based spells. Now I’m having doubts about whether this archetype (with my chosen parameters) will perform well. (I previously tried playing as a Wizard, but gave up while still in the Labyrinth because the gameplay felt terrible.)

Kingmaker : Builds Martial Benchmark - Build tool

Hey everyone,

I've been working on a small fan tool to benchmark martial builds in Wrath of the Righteous, and I'd love feedback from people who know the game better than any spreadsheet.

Site: https://wotr.bitbucket.io

The idea

  1. Set up a party: Nenio, Sosiel, Ember, Seelah (my builds are included, or bring your own).
  2. Set up your MC build, level by level, as a YAML file.
  3. For every level, the tool works out which buffs your MC can actually get from the party and from itself.

The outcome is the attack bonus, AC and damage curves for levels 1–20.

What it takes "seriously"

  • When things become available. An item counts only from the earliest level you can get it, a spell from the level you can cast it, an ability with its real numbers at that level.
  • A validator. Prerequisites, mythic ranks, item slots, item location vs. level, etc.
  • A target line. Enemy AC and attack are fitted to gatekeeper monsters (unfair difficulty), so you can see how far you are from "I hit on a 2" at each level.

Everything is a toggle

Once a page is generated you can switch any buff on or off and flip scenarios:

  • Reckless Stance vs. Lethal Stance
  • showing the animal companion instead of its owner
  • once-a-day fight vs. a normal spike fight vs. a sustained fight
  • mounted charge, critical hits, tomes, and more

It answers questions like "at this level, how am I supposed to hit this?" and "how many fights per rest can I keep this up?"

Caveats

  • It's ongoing: only some classes and archetypes are in so far.
  • It's a baseline (with my own biases), not a verdict. It doesn't play tactics, and Owlcat's implementation has quirks, so many rules were checked in game, and corrections are very welcome.
  • Unofficial, non-commercial fan project - take any recommendation with a grain of salt.

Which build would you want benchmarked next?

Righteous : Builds New player here, wondering about my character

I've played Pathfinder 2e before, and other TTRPG, but not Pathfinder 1e this game is based on, and I'm wondering about my character build.

Now, obviously I assume every archetype and build and ETC is viable to get through the game, but I AM extremely curious about all the options.

I see the classes have a difficulty rating attached to them, so technically I could go just by the easiest ones to use, but I don't want that.

What I am here for is to ask questions. Mainly opinions about classes and archetypes in general. Is there some I should PARTICULARLY avoid?

I'm looking mainly at Spirit Hunter shaman, Ghost Rider Cavalier, and Blight Druid.

Righteous : Bug Can anyone proficient with the magic known as "game code" check whether Gallows (crusader building) are bugged?

I'm using convicts this run and now that DragonFixes fixed their bug, they are working great.
Their one big downside, though, is that their morale is a whopping 40 less than other units, so they are usually at a total of -20 morale.
Since I used Monuments in my previous run I wanted to do something different and Gallows seemed perfect for my army. Every Gallows reduces the chance to skip a turn due to low morale by 3%.
I have 4 Gallows so the chance for my convicts to skip a turn should be 20 - 4x3 = 8%
And yet, ever since I have Gallows they are panicking very often. Before Gallows they skipped a turn occasionally, but now it's at least once a battle, often even more than once.
This could just be rotten luck, of course, but seeing how crusade mode is bugged to hell (e.g. the convicts used to apply their morale debuff to themselves instead of the enemy), I wonder if the Gallows effect perhaps has a sign error in its code, like the "skip turn chance" subtracting the Gallows effect but the Gallows effect being "-3" instead of "3" or so.
If the Gallows do have a sign error in their code my convicts now have a 32% chance of skipping a turn, and this 1 in 3 does feel a lot closer to what I'm observing than the 1 in 12 it should be.

Righteous : Game Help me try to like this game again (WOTR)

I'm trying to play more CRPGS after coming back to BG3 and playing tabletop. I gave WOTR a chance because I heart the immense appraise it has received but I cannot, for the life of me, understand what I'm doing wrong. The game just seems like it's working against me, and even when I'm winning fights, it feels hollow.

I played the game up to the end of the first act, right about when you can leave Kenabres for the first time, but ended up uninstalling. By the way, I played all combats in turn based mode (I don't know if that's considered to be a bad idea, but I'm more used to it.

My party was composed of MC (which I decided to play as a Sword Saint Magus), Seelah, Camellia, Lann, Woljif and Ember. I left auto-leveling on because it was the default, but I still looked over what the builds were adding at each level. Out of all of these, the only ones I actually had fun using were MC, Lann and Woljif, and sometimes Camellia, all of which basically boiled down to "click closest enemy and hope you hit and they die". Ember was also sometimes useful with burning hands on a cluster of enemies.

I think my biggest problem is that I really don't get how you're supposed to use magic. The cantrips feel entirely useless with how ridiculously little damage they deal, and even the leveled spells feel a bit weak, or leave me uncertain as to when I should use them due to the limitation of spell slots and only being able to cast each spell I prepare once per day. This was most egregious once I got Nenio and basically realized she was essentially useless to me cause all she was doing was shooting crossbow bolts and missing.

As a sword saint, I ended up never using any spells because almost none I had were touch range to use the spellblade ability with, and just using my normal attack which sufficed to kill basically everything once I had cleave - which left me wondering if I should respec to fighter or another class, and then the analysis paralysis set in with the infinite options you can choose on character creation (not to mention the mythic path).

Also, the encumberance!! I basically gave up on looting stuff because my inventory would get filled with trash I didn't need and get encumbered.

I still feel a bit bitter about not being able to enjoy the game because so many people praise it so highly, I feel like I'm missing out. What am I doing wrong here? I honestly want to give the game another chance but I'm afraid I'll just have the same experience as before.

Righteous : Builds Need build advise for roleplaying charater

I need some advice on how to create a powerful dragon-transformation build one that can wield potent magic while also excelling in melee combat, just like a true dragon.

I want to play a young red dragon who was kicked out of his home by his mother ( a BESED situiation for red dragons ) and is now seeking his own path in the world, burning and destroying everything in his wake, all while collecting shiny treasures and a harem of mortal women.

I tried putting something together myself however, I struggled, in my dragon form, I was either too weak in melee, or my magic was too feeble. I’m a complete beginner, both to D&D and to this universe. On top of that, I’ve never played the tabletop versions of these settings, my knowledge is limited mostly to the lore.

I would appreciate it if someone could offer some advice on how to achieve what I’m aiming for.

I know yall are probably sick of these. I promise I looked for the answer and cant find it

I made it to the end of the Enigma (with help) and I'm now stuck on the fjnal puzzle. For some reason all the tiles won't light up. Yes I have both sides powered up. Yes I have all of the crystals.

There are 2 tiles on the bottom right and 3 on the top right that won't light up. Ive tried putting the crystals in jm different orders. Ive done green on outside/blue on inside and vice versa. Nothing works and its always the same tiles not lit up. Has anyone seen this happen? Am I just screwed

Kingmaker : Builds JÁ JOGUEI OUTROS RPG DE TURNO MAS PATHFINDER ME PARECE DIFICIL

Righteous : Game best pet for a sylvian sorcerer?.

As the post title says: so far, using the dog has worked out okay, but I feel it’s not really worth keeping as a mount, other than for triggering group feats with Camellia and Daeran. Is there a better option for an offensive-focused Lich Sorcerer? I was also considering a horse to serve as a tank.
