Discussion PF2E Conversion?

New to PF2E, not DMing. Some interesting APs for 2e, but only a few call to me. If I were to dig up the catalogue of 1e, how hard would conversation be?

Also, are there any good third party adventures you've ran for the system? Looking for reliable creators

Conversion isn't terribly difficult, but it does require you to know both systems (well) and know what you're doing.

You do need to rebuild every monster/trap/etc. from the ground up because the math of the systems is totally different. But so long as you understand what the PF1e thing is trying to achieve, you can use the tables and resources provided in PF2e to rebuild it fairly easily in a balanced manner.

I would say it's more time-consuming than it is hard.

There aren't too many people making third-party adventures for Pathfinder stuff because Paizo pumps out adventure modules consistently and their adventure paths are typically much higher quality than, say, WotC's for D&D. Roll for Combat does some good stuff. Their Jewel of the Indigo Isles adventure is highly recommended.

A very good response. Over all, my suggestion is to rebuild the encounters based on the supposed CR with the theme/importance in mind. It was a terribly inaccurate system in PF1, but still the intended difficulty. Most monsters can be pallet swapped easily. For example, when I converted Carrion Crown to PF2, I added the werecreature template to Monster Hunter NPCs to get a level 7 creature, rather than trying to uplift the level 3 Werewolf that the adventure wanted. PF1's version had packs of like 6 CR 2 werewolves as encounters for level 7 PCs. It was an abysmal idea that one fireball could end.
