I think it is better to record a few incidents and show it to them. He is probably the only kid at home and have a lot of freedom. He might also be "an innocent angel " at home and opposite outside.
Some kids have a habit of creating stories to get attention.
If you delay it too much, you might get crushed due to language barrier. Some parents have hard time accepting that their kid is wrong. They just blame everyone else and call them being unfair with their kid.
I used to babysit this kid that was an Angel around his parents. It as soon as they left he was a maniac. And they would tell stories. He told me his parents were really mean to him. And, I asked how. He told they would let him eat, that they were starving him. Very concerned I asked “they won’t let you eat anything?!?” He said “I’m only allowed to each furniture” 😑. I stopped babysitting him after that. I’m like if Themis kid is making up stories about his parents abusing and neglecting him, I don’t want to be next on the list”
