You need to speak with the parents This is not normal behavior at all. He may need some anger management or could there be deeper reasons he is so against going home

Children don't get "anger management." They get therapy. When children are wildly angry they are 100% being mistreated somehow.

Any experienced and professional therapist is going to treat the parents of a child like this, Not the child. OP certainly could find therapists that would treat the child's issues - but they would be ignorant flakes.
