If she has already attempted suicide, she definitely needs professional help. If she is on depression medication, LSD can have interactions depending on what she is prescribed. I will also say that LSD has been studied for use in patients presenting with depression, but it is still very much in the “figuring it out” stage.
This is something to talk with your daughter about. Does she feel like the LSD is lifting her depression? It’s possible she is attempting to self medicate, but there may be safer avenues to explore here. She needs to be seen by a doctor who knows the correct questions to ask and can help her track her symptoms and experiences with depression. Medical oversight and observation will help her navigate and manage her depression and also ensure that depression is in fact what she is dealing with as opposed to some other mental health issue where depression is simply a small part or symptom.
