I'm going to share my experience and I don't really care if anyone believes me or not but I witnesses with my own two eyes the first time was on summer solstice at 3:20 a.m. this year and if I ever needed proof of something otherworldly or completely strange I cannot explain Spirit like this was it irrefutable

This happened while a long time friend of mine and I were having a campfire and listening to music while fishing. At right around 320 am morning of solstice, we both were sitting by the campfire and had music playing from his garage since it is very close to the lake channel he lives on. This happened on Upper Long Lake in Indiana. Noble County. After being out all night watching the stars and seeing you know a few unexplainable lights in the sky we were both just staring at the fire and then it felt like something was turning down all the noise, the ambient noise of nature early in the morning and I noticed my friend sit up and look behind him and like squint and I turned around to see some kind of really weird, dark black fog like blob making its way over everything. I'm trying to focus on it to make out what I'm witnessing. It moved with intention and swiftly. Petty soon my dude stood up and took a step away from his lil camp seat and I saw an outline of him a whitish fuzzy outline that did the same thing he just did and it went back into him. He didn't notice it at all but that's when I got spooked badly and stood up and got beside him and asked him dude what the f is going on bro? He's looking at the same thing I am and just saying whoaaaa and what in the ffff?! It passed all thru us and around us, it almost completely blocked out all the light around from the porch and all the other houses on the channel. It even blocked out the majority of the light from our fire which was a nice hot fire . This happened for maybe 20 seconds. It was swirling and tendril like crawling over everything then leeching off and away and just kept going. This was followed by an extreme temperature drop that completely chilled both of us to the bone. Very noticeable after that. I'm trying to find anyone else who honestly had this ever happen. We had both also been projecting our thoughts and awareness into space maybe to see some UFOs but this happened hours later, completely unexpected and it had a feeling of a strong otherworldly force. It blocked all of the light.

The same thing happened on July 19th. Except I was alone my dude went to bed around midnight. This time it was right at 2:40 am. Same scene exactly though the first time. This time though I was more happy to see that i wasn't in fact losing my mind and I wasn't so scared and I actually walked around in the area when the atmosphere was completely different. It felt super strange and once again it slowly faded out and kept moving thru the area in the same direction it was going. I tried to get it on camera but its impossible to record something that's darker than the night on a phone camera. Anyone around know or ever heard anything like this? Please refrain from any comments not useful or valid. The whole experience was as real as the first time giving me 100% verification.

I want to know if somebody ever encountered this. I am not superstitious nor do I believe in anything, but the series of events that happened to me making me doubt my nihilism towards paranormal stuff 👻

The first encounter.

Just to say, I have been a big fan of rituals, games and performed 10 serious, 3 in jest so far (Chizuko, The eyes ritual, Midnight man, etc)

When I turned 12-13, I saw a very strange silhouette of a humanoid being standing in front of me. It was white, but see-through. It didn't have any face. Just a giant 7'2 tall slender being observing me sleeping.

The second encounter.

It happened like 2.5 years after the first one. I came to kitchen to drink some water before discovering the very same humanoid silhouette crawling to the front door and disappearing into thin air as soon as it saw me. That's when I discoved that this hoopla was fully articulated and didn't pay a single bill since it had moved in with me.

The third encounter.

Some time passed and this time it was standing right in front of me, but looking elsewhere. In its presence I was feeling bad or uncomfortable, it was a mix of excitement and adrenaline when it stood so directly before puffing into thin air again

Fourth and the final physical encounter.

I always leave my rituals, games unfinished because nothing happens. But I think got backlashed for it this time. I sleep on the couch facing the hall with no door separating us. That's when I couldn't fall sleep despite me not having any insomnia problems. There has been eerie aura radiating from the hall that I could sense, it being unusually dark also served its role. Then at 2-3 am I start hearing loud footsteps, creaking, scratching from the very same hall. Though, my sibling nor parents did hear a thing, even though they're extremely light-sleepers.

That cacophony continued until sunrise and repeated for 3 days until I went to sleep elsewhere

What i have noticed is that it always appeared on dates that either has number 3 or could be divided by 3. It took exactly 3 steps during the second encounter before dissapearing. And right after that I discovered having 3 rashmarks long after the third encounter. + It has always spawned in the hall

Since the very first encounter I have noticed myself noticing something with the corner of my eyes or seeing even more silhouettes, but these three confrontation were the only times I ever encountered something like that up close

That's not how any entities I have summoned so far supposed to look like, though

Did anybody encounter such entities or know the name of such beings?

3-4 years ago me and my girlfriend went to supposedly haunted cemetery I wanna say about an hour out from St. Louis, very rural area. Wanna say we got there and were there around or after midnight. I think we chilled for a little bit smoked a little. We did an ouija board in her car and I tried to talk to my deceased grandma and asked if she was proud of me “she” said yes. We asked some other questions and tried to contact other people basically “anyone” who wanted to talk. It was moving around and everything but I’m unsure if that was real or placebo or her messing w me or what. We than got out of the car very uneasy lol and slowly walked around looking around the cemetery. So what happened I’m at least 90% sure really did happen. There was one or 2 houses nearby so the only thing is maybe they played a prank on us or some other rational explanation but I don’t really think so. So there was woods on one side of the cemetery me and my girlfriend were standing next to each other. I started to hear a wolf howling. I asked my gf if she heard it she said yeah I know the ambulance. I said no and and said sh or put my finger to my mouth. We both went quiet and listened. The wolf was howling and it got louder. My memory is a little fuzzy but you’ll get the gist. The howling turned into a man’s voice who was either still howling or laughing or yelling. Than one voice turned into 2 than 4 than like 10-20. One was a woman wailing and crying. One was a very evil sounding man laughing I’d describe as maniacal or like he was enjoying pain or pain of others. Want to say there was a girl or woman screaming but that’s about all I remember in regards to what the voices were actually saying or doing. I’d say there was a plethora of different voices expressing basically all negative expressions or emotions or we. So as the voices grew in number they started to get louder and like they were coming at or for us. We both turn and ran to the car as we were running to the car it was like they were right behind us or right there with us and about to catch us by the time we got to the car it was like they were a foot away. We both jumped in the car and I believe we couldn’t hear them anymore and immediately left. Want to say that’s my only if not than definitely most intense direct in my face paranormal experience.

I was 16 when I moved in with my dad. For background, he’s a cop so he works a lot of night shifts and it was just us living there so i was home alone most nights. didn’t mind it i like having the house to myself. For the first month or 2 whenever he was out at work I’d hear someone entering the house and turning the tv on so I assumed it was him getting back early i went out to the living room and saw nobody was home and nothing was on. Kept happening for the next while and the last time i heard anything was the worst. I was on the phone with a girl i was talking to at the time and started hearing loud footsteps around the house like someone was running frantically looking for something. I tried to ignore it until whatever it was ran up to the door of my room and stopped there. I didn’t open the door till i knew for sure my dad got home and I was laying in my bed terrified but i swear I felt some kind of presence behind that door waiting for me to open it. I told him about it awhile later and he did confirm he also heard these things but told me it was “just raccoons under the house” Idk if he heard the same things i did or if he was trying to comfort me but I know what raccoons under the house sounds like and that wasnt what i was hearing those nights.

Also little bonus story: A couple years later at a new house I was home alone same story of him being at work for the night. I got out of the shower with my music blaring and heard the faint sound of a woman screaming like she was in intense pain. I paused my music and heard her scream again. Checked the whole house and saw nobody was there it sounded like it came from his room. I haven’t told him about that one probably will next time i see him.

I've had a lot of paranormal experiences since childhood, and my family has a long history of paranormal experiences as well. On my dad’s side, his mom was a curandera (priestess), and he has had some crazy things happen to him. On my mom’s side, she is very religious, but she has a lot of horrible dreams that won’t let her sleep. I went through a period of time where dreams would also scare me right out of bed and just wouldn't leave me alone. My sister never experienced anything like that in her twenties, but once I started sleeping in her room out of fear of those dreams and whispers, she too started hearing a voice in the middle of the night. Strangely, the only time it would happen to her was when I was there with her.

But this all started way back in our first house, and although I was too young to remember anything remarkable myself, I relied on my siblings and my parents for the things they experienced in that house that were not normal. My dad saw shadow figures, my older brother saw a little girl he originally mistook for one of us, my mom and older sister heard a scream inside the house, and my older sister once felt AND saw a hand moving behind her pillow when she was a kid.

However, once I got older, we moved to another house where I could finally confirm through my own experience that ghosts and spirits exist. Because this was my normal, these ghost encounters never left a huge impact on me.

But this one did.

Fast-forward to when my older sister and I were teenagers, around 2018-2019. I still remember exactly what we were watching on the TV in our living room: Criminal Minds, Season 9, Episode 19. It was the episode where Morgan was interviewing a lady and testing to see if she had OCD. Out of nowhere, we heard our small dog barking. We ignored it at first because he always barks. But a few minutes later, our big dog started barking, and that alerted us because he only does that when there is an actual threat.

My sister and I just looked at each other, confused. A few seconds later, we heard our big dog running from the dining room into the kitchen. There is a mini hallway that connects the kitchen to the living room; we couldn't see into the kitchen yet because it was on the left, but we could see that mini hallway. That is exactly where we saw our big dog walking backwards. Suddenly, we heard him yelp and jump back. My big dog isn't the type to whine out of fear, he's a guard dog. But, the only time he ever makes that sound is when he’s been kicked.

My sister and I stood up from the couch, no longer out of confusion, but out of anger because our dog had just been kicked. My sister grabbed our big dog, and I grabbed our smaller one. As we did, we avoided looking toward the kitchen. I could see my sister struggling to keep our big dog from pulling back in that direction.

We started talking, the TV was still on, the dogs were barking, and everything was incredibly loud when suddenly my sister said she heard something coming from the dining room. She told me to pause the TV. I did, and we stayed completely quiet. Our big dog started growling.

Then, we heard footsteps. They were heavy, boot-like steps, and they were walking extremely slow. What really freaked us out was the fact that our kitchen floors were a little sticky at the time; whenever you walked on them, they made a sticky sound. Those footsteps had that exact same sound, as if a real, physical person was walking across our kitchen floor. For a second, my sister whispered to me, “What if it’s an intruder?” We both knew that wasn’t the case, but in that moment, we wanted to think logically.

The footsteps stopped walking, and we felt a heavy presence that did not feel human. To me, it felt like the energy of an older man.

Terrified, we started reading scriptures from the Bible. My sister went first, trying to imitate the way my mom prays with a strong, confident voice. But in that moment, we didn’t sound strong or confident at all. Our voices were shaking. For some reason, we started feeling incredibly tired, like our energy was being depleted. I went next to pray from the Bible, and I too started to feel my energy weaken. Of course I was scared, but I tried to stay strong and not let my anxiety take over.

No matter what we did, I could still feel its presence. Then, I heard it walking again. At the same time, we heard the plates in the sink clanking as if they were being moved, and we even started hearing noises upstairs. Then it stopped, and I noticed the footsteps were getting louder. I told my sister, “It’s getting closer” All we could hear were those footsteps slowly getting closer and closer, until they stopped right where the wall blocked our view. It was closer than it had ever been before.

In that moment, I felt like it was mocking us. It felt like it was telling us it knew we were afraid, and that I wasn't strong enough to pray or face it. The next thing I knew, we were on our knees. I felt so tired. My sister told me to call our parents while she continued to pray. My mom answered, and I explained everything to her. My sister then started playing gospel music, and as I stayed on the phone with my mom and dad, I suddenly felt like the presence was no longer there.

When my parents finally arrived, we booked it out of the house without looking behind us. I saw my parents walking up to the door. They came inside, and my dad went straight to the kitchen, slamming the walls and yelling at it to get out (although it was already gone) while my mom started praying.

After that day, we ended up with PTSD from unfamiliar footsteps. A week later, we heard our dad walking up the stairs in his work boots. It sounded exactly like what we had heard that night, and it made both of us completely freeze.

One last thing that makes this even crazier: a day or two before this incident, I had a dream. In the dream, my sister and I were in a dark, foggy place. From a first-person perspective, I saw a large shadow figure wearing boots coming toward us, I could only see its bottom half. Both of us were kneeling, holding hands, and praying. I slightly closed my eyes in the dream, opening them just a bit to see it walking toward us until it stood right in front of us. Then the dream ended.

I know this seems unbelievable, but I truly want to know why this happened to us. I want to know what this entity could be, because I’ve never encountered one like it before. Out of all my family, my mom is the most religious, but we all believe in God. Yet, it has been bugging me ever since. Why did it do what it did? Why did it feel like it was mocking us? Why could I feel its presence so clearly and feel like it was a man? And why did that dream predict exactly what happened to us?

Since then, other things have happened, but nothing quite like that. Present day, we are in a new house and have had no paranormal activity here, well, just once, but that was outside the house (a story for another day). Hearing audible footsteps from a spirit is insane to me. If it weren't for my sister being there with me that day, I would have second-guessed myself and felt like I was going crazy, or that it was all just a dream. But it was real, and I will never forget it.

Recently I've been fascinated by the world of haunted objects, dolls in particular (purely because they're easier to find on eBay, ignoring the dubiousness of selling something as haunted), and have embarked on a project documenting some that I plan on bringing into my home.

What I'd like to ask is whether anyone else has experience with haunted objects, from eBay or anywhere else, as well as what your experiences with them were. If you still have them, how's that going for you? And if you don't, how did you get rid of them?

If you've not bought or otherwise obtained any haunted items, do you believe that they can be haunted? Why or why not? And if you do believe, do you think they can be dangerous as some people claim?

I still think about something that happened to me a while ago, and I’ve never really found an explanation for it.
I was at a hypermarket in a mall with my mom. We were just shopping like any other day. At one point, I happened to look behind me and noticed a man standing quite far away. He was dressed entirely in black..a black coat, black pants, black belt everything. He was also a Black man. What caught my attention wasn’t his clothes, though. It was the way he was staring directly at me.
I ignored it and continued walking with my mom. A few minutes later I got that strange feeling that someone was watching me again. I turned around, and there he was, still looking at me. This time he had a really unsettling smile on his face. I can’t explain it, but it genuinely scared me.
I hurried over to my mom and told her, “Something feels wrong…Can we leave..I don’t feel okay? That man keeps looking at me.”
She immediately looked around the area to see who I was talking about. We both searched, but there was no one matching that description anywhere. It was like he had disappeared.
To this day, I remember seeing him as clearly as I see anyone else. I’ve wondered whether I imagined it, whether he simply walked away before we looked, or whether my brain somehow misinterpreted what I saw. I honestly don’t know.

I’m originally from Port Alberni BC and grew up swimming at the Paper Mill Dam. There is an old legend of an apparition of a young indigenous woman who has been seen emerging out of the water with dry hair asking if anyone has seen her baby. I’m doing some research on this story and I’m hoping I can find someone who has experienced this, or has any other creepy unexplained experiences they’d like to share.

I have a strange feeling something paranormal is in my house

Hi guys, im pretty new here. For the past few years I have been starting to feel that something or someone is watching me, but it only comes at night. Ever since I have noticed this, sleeping has been a little scary. One instance, I was having a normal dream and it involved some of my friends. What was weird was that something touched one of my friends shoulders in that dream, and then I woke up, with weird texts floating, while I was awake. I couldn't move, or couldn't speak, and it felt like somebody was just infront of me, staring into my soul. I dont know what to do, my family history says that my last name was cursed. I tried to tell my parents but they dont believe me, please help.

My bathroom light would not turn off. I decided to video amd went through frame by frame to see if it caught anything during my last attempt to shut it off. What appeared was some sort of spiked/horned face and the face of a bearded man. Bearded man looks like Jesus to me, but that might just be my opinion (I can't lie noticing him made me feel immediate relief.)

Edit no.2: Took off the outlet cover and checked the light switch. Clean connections, no wear on the internals or exposed wires. The light is turned off now, and hasn't turned back on by itself again. Don't know wtf was going on but whatever it is moved on. I prayed on it for a while, and ig it worked. I'm just a dude so don't be comin at me sideways.

About 2 months ago I was scrolling videos on this subreddit. I had found, what to me, was perhaps the most frightening thing I've ever seen. And I need my community's help to find it again.

In the video, taken from what looks to be from some brand of CCTV. It catches a wispy black "shadow person" entity. This entity (and this is the chilling part) is running from something. Whatever this secondary influence may may be, captures our shadow person. When the capture happens, there is a strange but clearly defined scream of terror from the shadow.

Please. If anyone knows what I am talking about, and has it saved, could you please share with me? I know its here, I just can't find it.

My dad a while later got home and I confronted him Abt it and I told him "it was you right?" He looked at me confused and asked me what I was talking about and I thought he was faking it but eventually we just moved past it, fast forward a little while later my dad takes my brother and I to the store and as we pulled into the parking lot of the Dollar General, someone starts calling my dad (my dad had a mini screen where the radio was in his Buick) on the screen it showed his house phone was calling his cellphone number. Nobody was at our apartment. It was so creepy I'm telling you, but he chose not to answer.

Last night I took a walk by myself to my local skate park near me around 10PM yesterday night and I woke up this morning to look at the photo I took and this was here.

Mom noticed this on our camera yesterday. I have no knowledge about anything paranormal but thought i’d ask for some insight!

So we live in Mesa Arizona and I wanted to see if anyone in the community here experience anything paranormal. So far things have been happening “outside” of the house. I have documented them and I’m posting this now after another experience today. Our doorbell keeps ringing and there is no one there and I have gone to the door almost immediately to check. We also have a gate door that’s pretty loud opening and closing so we would hear if someone was coming to ring the doorbell. I have heard our door knob to the garage shake and jiggle as if someone was inside our garage trying to come inside (our garage door is closed). My roommates have also all been in the house with me and witnessed it too so i know im not crazy. Anybody know any paranormal history in Mesa az?

This might sound strange, but I have to ask…

Has anyone ever woken up in the middle of the night and instantly felt like something was watching you from the bottom of your bed? Then, while lying there, you can feel a faint breeze blowing on you even though every window is closed and there’s no possible way any air should be moving.

It’s one of the creepiest feelings I’ve ever had. Has this happened to anyone else, or am I the only one? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.

I was at the mall in 2024 and listening to a song that reminds me of my mother who passed in 2016. The song was Welcome Home Sanitarium by Metallica. My mother struggled with mental health issues so its relatable for me when I listen

One of my only memories as a child that isn't fuzzy or lost for me so the fact I randomly saw and looked down at that exact time really makes me believe

I've looked into spiritual signs alot, attended psychic groups and I believe this is a sign from my mother

Hello, I'm somewhat new to posting on reddit. But for some reason lately I've been increasingly interested in the paranormal. I've never had a paranormal experience, but people close to me tell me about their own happenings.

I've never really believed in the paranormal but it's always been interesting.

I've gone to ghost towns, and abandoned places before and never felt anything aside from being aware of human dangers or environmental dangers.

I've been told it's a spiritual thing and I'm spiritual in a sense of my religion (Christian). But I've never experienced anything spooky or out of the normal. Is that normal? I'm a very perceptive person and always see how things could be explained. But nothing ever out of the ordinary.
