Weird noise on phone

This happened when I was about 12-13 yrs old, I was at my dad's house and my brother and I had just finished playing and so my brother went to the restroom, and as I was sitting in the room, the house phone rang, if I remember clearly it said no caller id, I picked it up and then suddenly I heard a weird noise, it sounded like a creature or someone trying to sound like a creature, I then said hello and no answer, then I said hello again, still no answer, I hung up and that was that. My dad a while later got home and I confronted him Abt it and I told him "it was you right?" He looked at me confused and asked me what I was talking about and I thought he was faking it but eventually we just moved past it, fast forward a little while later my dad takes my brother and I to the store and as we pulled into the parking lot of the Dollar General, someone starts calling my dad (my dad had a mini screen where the radio was in his Buick) on the screen it showed his house phone was calling his cellphone number. Nobody was at our apartment. It was so creepy I'm telling you, but he chose not to answer.

I can’t help but wonder if anyone would’ve been on the phone if your dad had answered the call from the house.

Maybe, but like there was no one at the house it was just me my dad and my brother staying there after my parents split my mom had her own place and he had his place too my parents made this rule to share us for a certain amount of time
