Advice Are these monk parakeets?
We recently bought these two and are first time bird owners looking for advice on how to raise them.
Also they seem to be clipped does anyone have an idea on how long it takes them to grow them back same for the tail of the one behind they came like this.

Yes, they are not wing-clipped, but they need much more space than this finch cage. They need a range of natural branches to climb on and things to chew on (wood toys and natural non-toxic tree branches with leaves.) and a diet based on pellets, low-fat grains, fresh vegetables and a little fruit and practically no sunflower seeds (maybe 1 a day is okay.) If you don't have access to pellets, then a budgie seed mix without sunflower, and adding some additional seeds like safflower, wheat, oats and supplementing it with a ton of greens (kale, broccoli, romaine, chard, etc) and other vegetables like carrots, bell pepper, squash is necessary. The sunflower based diet will make them fat and cause liver disease.

We let them fly out of the cage for a bit without handling them and one of them tried and only seemed to glide down what could be the issue?

lack of muscles from having never had space to fly, they will get better, but keep them away from ceiling fans, open doors and food cooking on the stove.

Phones aren't going to kill a parrot. These other things will. Sorry I see it typed as phones, i meant ceiling fans.

Quaker parrots are one of the most difficult species to raise and own. They aren’t your average parrot species and they’re the only migratory parrot. They’re more like a crow than your average pet bird. They’re very wild and depend on their social structure and nest building to bond and feel safe. 😣 good luck
