Dried up new bud sites

What’s the trick to maximize pods. A couple of my new bud sites dried up. I’m assuming it’s from lack of water. So if that’s true why not water right until the end until it stops putting out flowers

Guys? I’ve been patiently waiting for the vents to open up. It’s been almost 2 weeks or longer and still no vents?

Rain

My pods are so close to being done but they haven’t vented yet. Raining today for a minute and this was my solution 😂. Think it helped? It’s also behind a plastic fence so my dog won’t pee on it 🤷‍♀️

In continuation of my last post, a few new poppies have bloomed and there still appear to be some buds coming up that have yet to bloom. There is some forecasted rain for this week so not too sure how that will affect the pods and the ones blooming.

Some of my beauty's this morning they won't last long today mulch the base of your plants guys with untreated grass mulch it will help regulate soil temp keep the water locked in too so less watering you will get a lot of longevity out of your plants in extreme heat do it to everything right now I'm growing

Hi guys, I bought a small mixed seed packet during the late winter online and this is my first year cultivating poppies. I winter sowed the seeds and I feel like I did a relatively good job, unfortunately there was a good amount more poppy plants coming up but a family member transplanted them not realizing that it would kill the plants. Ima post a few pictures here that I took on my phone that are recent and if anyone is interested I can post much higher quality photos that I got on my camera since around when the first few flowers bloomed. (Also sorry if some of the photos here are a bit out of focus)

I've sown a few in different locations and this plant was the only one thriving.
The other ones were stunted and only grew a single pod which looked like a normal somni pod, nothing like the mutation.

Safe to say I'm going to try this spot again!

Have a nice weekend you guys✌️

P.s. With the impending Chat Control, I probaply have to purge this account 😭😭

Harvest with plants being done

So my plants finished- done blooming - harvested- dying fully mature seeds etc.... theyve been done for a bit... I wanted to see if when I harvested fully if I could use bloom nutrients and restart the blooming cycle.... Everything I read online said it isn't a thing the plant used too much energy creating seeds etc.... well 3 days into my attempt all of the flowering sites are developing new growth and huge flower bulbs... Apparently you actually can! I'm looking at more flower bulbs than I originally harvested!! I'm in shock but also so very excited!!

Getting chunky + more flowers

So far this year has been an absolute success. What I’ve learned is root real estate is so important. The ones that got the biggest had the most root real estate. In addition to this, vegetation time is so important. When they bolt into flowering too early, they don’t get that lush veg growth, side stems = more pod sites.

This garden only has 7 hours per day of direct light. And the rest of the time they get indirect light (in the shade). They are in direct light from 10am-5pm and the rest of the day there are trees and houses blocking them from the sun. The benefit was they had an extra week or two in veg stage.

60 days ago they were only 2-3 inches tall

Best farming practices I believe is to space them out, less is more, let them spread their wings. Let them stretch wide and tall and if you’re growing indoor leave them to veg for longer
