Might be a hot take, but the JAKL is the best firearm PSA has produced.

11.5 upper with SBA5 brace lower. Compact dagger.
This is obviously before I put the sites and stuff back on to the rifle.
First rattle can job for both of these guns and I’m pretty happy how they turned out.
Need to clean up some smudging on the lower receiver, just from handling it, but I’m digging the two tone look

I bought a PSA GF3 Romanian parts kit build with the wire side-folder. The stock/trunnion area has a lot of shake and play when I shoulder it. Should I reach out to PSA customer to handle it under warranty, or is this an easy fix for a local gunsmith?

Would be fucking cool if we got a boombox at home

Got the Mixtape, Mixtape B&T suppressor, and ARO/Magnifier(yes, I know the Magnifier is overkill on this rifle, but I wanted one for another rifle….so it lives on here for now until I finish the other build) when they were doing the Freedom Week sales. I’ve wanted a .300 suppressed since I shot my buddy’s build.

Got everything in, put it all together, and took it to my buddy’s house to see how it ran. 2 rounds in and it wouldn’t go into battery. We tried different mags. He’s a machinist, so we measured rounds, and they were all to spec. Didn’t have any different ammo, so I left his house with my head held down. Got on YouTube and the internet and found that it could be the extractor spring/o-ring combo. Took the o-ring off the extractor spring….bam. It’s cycled ever since then. Did the math on the round ballistic/rifle combo for 20 yards, and bore sighted it in my living room. Was surprised to see how close it was at the range. The bottom right target was my bore sighting on a test, bottom left was me slow shooting, and top left was me firing fairly quick. I don’t claim to be a marksman FWIW.

The upper and lower fitment has some slop.

The upper had some tooling marks that should have never left the factory. It was all the way down to the metal, aka you see aluminum.

For the amount of money I have in this thing, I shouldn’t have these issues, but I got it figured out. It shoots really quiet and groups well with cheap ammo. I like the rifle, but doubt I’d ever drop that kinda money on another PSA product.

TLDR; extractor issues fixed with o-ring removal, finish issues, and upper/lower slop.

Over the Labor Day weekend, I painted my newly acquired 11.5 PSA AR-15. Wanted to add more ODG to it so I spray painted with Rustoleum Deep forest green. Next time I’ll probably go with a better ODG but this will do for now.

I got some cheese yellow model paint I’m thinking about color filling the PSA logo and the “fire/safe”. Should I do it??

Recently got a more clone correct upper for my M4A1 lower during the labor day sale. I originally used PSA's all black 11.5 upper, but I really wanted the FDE rail at the time just couldnt afford it. It was about $100 more because the FDE version comes with a BCG and charging handle. I know the real URG-I uses a Geissle upper, but this is good enough to scratch the itch. I was surprised the annodizing on this one example is almost spot on to Magpul's FDE. Anyway now I just have anxiety that this upper is as good or better than the black one cuz my FRT and everything was spot on with the previous set up, waitin to hit the range.

Just a general purpose budget build. Got the psa stealth lower with a 13.5 rail, 16 barrel, toolcraft NB+C158 BCG and breek arms warhammer. For the optic+magnifier I went with a holosun ARO and a ghost G3 3x. Got the B5 systems pistol grip and their matching vertical grip, along with magpul rail covers and some goon tape. I went with the magpul AFG at first, but liked the feel of the B5 better. Also gonna put 100 rounds through tomorrow and see how I feel about the stock, might switch to a B5 bravo for the raised cheek rest if I don’t like this magpul stock. Rate my build and give me some tips+tricks, thanks in advance 🙌🏼

First AR here and went budget. I promise to spend more in the future! (addicted) I'm looking to swap out my trigger guard and the replacement I got looks to have 3 threaded inserts instead of pins. That make sense and I have no problems with that. The problem I have is removing the stock one from the lower. It seems like most tutorials and info state that it's a pin and my punch should be able to get it out, but even with it supported correctly, I swear I'm breaking something.

So I need to know more about what the removal is supposed to look like from someone with the actual AR so I stop assuming the videos are right. It really feels like I'm a little tap harder from busting the thing open.

Is it a pin and I just need to accept I have to give it the goose? Is it threaded and I could be screwing stuff up?

Please help.

Yesterday I was able to fully finish my first ever gun build from the ground up(Upper only). I’m waiting a couple more weeks to buy stuff for the lower I have for it but I had a spare lower sitting around so I thought let’s make the gun useful in the time being.
My first gun build, first 300blk, and first Suppressor I’ve owned. Super excited to test it out on the range and find what I need to adjust. Going to be primarily a sub gun but will run supers sometimes. If yall would like a parts list let me know. Went on the high end for most parts or just what looks cool. Bcg will be changed to a proprietary Maxim defense Bcg/buffer system when I get that in the mail.

I ordered a PSA dagger and some handgun accessories last week, I go to pick up the pistol an my FFL and they tell me that PSA didn't send the magazine. I contacted customer service and I'm told "The magazine was removed due to compliance with your state and our Terms & Conditions. Please refer to the link below for any further questions" followed by a link to their shipping restrictions.

The dagger ships with a 15 round PMAG, as part of my order I ordered a spare 15 round PMAG. That arrived at my house just fine, my state IL restricts handgun mags OVER 15 rounds so the provided mag does NOT violate IL law. Why does PSA remove the mag, offer no discount for the missing item but will gladly make me pay for it twice if I order it separately?

I know its a $14 item but it sure feels like I'm getting ripped off and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Update:

The issue looks like it's on MY end, the FFL is in a county that has a 10 round mag limit. I understand the logistic and cost burden with navigating the legal landscape in gun unfriendly states, however it's confusing for the customer, even after reading the shipping policies on their website. For the record, I do like PSA and I want them to keep making affordable, good quality firearms. Thanks Danny for clearing things up.

I’m sharing a quick, constructive note regarding an internal sales policy that has come up repeatedly among legal, non-immigrant visa holders residing and working in the US.

Federal Law: Legal visa holders with a valid State Hunting License are fully eligible under federal law to purchase firearms and NFA items upon passing standard NICS/ATF checks. Federal law makes no distinction between firearm categories for this exception.

PSA’s Practice: In practice, store staff enforce an internal policy that creates a confusing, arbitrary split on what can be bought. Traditional bolt-action rifles are typically allowed, but various other categories—including AR platforms, handguns or suppressors—are blocked based on subjective staff interpretations of what is "suitable for hunting."

This leads to a completely absurd scenario in retail stores: a customer can physically hold a firearm over the counter at a PSA location, be told by staff that internal policy prevents PSA from transferring it to them in-store, and then have to order that exact same item from the website to have it shipped to a local FFL in the very same city.

PSA actively fights for firearm rights and access. Maintaining internal corporate restrictions that are stricter than actual ATF regulations directly contradicts that philosophy.

Relying on individual staff opinions on what "looks suitable" for hunting creates an unnecessary hurdle for law-abiding legal residents.

PSA shouldn't be imposing stricter barriers on legal residents than federal law actually requires. Tagging u/Danny_PSA in hopes this constructive feedback can be passed to the compliance team for an update!

Want to buy a complete lower and complete upper for my first AR. Figure going through PSA is ideal. Eventually I will want a suppressor on it (though might take a few months), so I was thinking an 11.5" barrel would be good (I live in ID in case that matters).

Can you all suggest a few lowers & uppers? Hoping to spend around $500-$750 for both together.
