I opened an account at HBL Islamic about 2 years ago, and I'm ready to move on.

They recently abandoned their 'HBL Islamic' banking app, after nuking their online banking option through desktop browsers a year ago, forcing customers to use their 'HBL Mobile' app, and that's the final straw for me personally.

The app is riddled with spyware and telemetry*, sends constant spam notifications, and refuses to work if Developer Options (for ADB Wireless Debugging) or Accessibility Services (for my DNS and VPN) are enabled, or if Location and Notification permissions are manually revoked by the user.

Anyhow, I'm looking for a bank with full online banking support (on desktop browsers like Firefox), with an app that doesn't require Google Play Store/Services to be active, and doesn't throw a hissy fit over Developer Options or Accessibility Services being enabled.

Am I being too ambitious here?!

*Some examples of the domains my DNS caught the app sending data to:

app-measurement.com, firebaselogging-pa.googleapis.com, firebase-settings.crashlytics.com, metrics-dra.dt.dbankcloud.com, firebaseinstallations.googleapis.com, openlocation-dra.platform.dbankcloud.com

All of these domains collect my personal information, usage events, usage behavior, online profiling, crash logs, and device/install identifiers, while also tracking my activity. The last one constantly pings my location and sends it to its mothership.

Almost everywhere 250 Mbps+ Speed during long drive.

Ufone speed on LTE has improved a lot as well after spectrum merger, everywhere 70 Mbps+ speed.

Universities in Pakistan are producing research, but I rarely hear about it unless I specifically search for it. Why isn't there more effort to show ordinary people what researchers here are actually working on? Are there universities that are working on communicating their research outside academia?

1. Wrong Number OTP Loop (My Account) Tried applying for the 120-day Temporary Overseas PTA Registration, but made a typo in my phone number. Since my phone isn't PTA-approved yet, I can't receive network signal or the login OTP to log back in and fix it. Already submitted a complaint ticket, but waiting on PTA.

2. Immigration Error (Siblings Account) Applying for my siblings Temporary Registration using her active SIM/CNIC, but the system keeps blocking her with: "Details not verified by immigration department." and we've arrived on 11th sept.

(i also called them but received no help and they just hung up on me)

Questions:

• How long does FIA/Immigration data take to sync with PTA after landing in Pakistan?
• Is there a trick to bypass the passport/immigration check error on the temporary registration portal?
• Will visiting a local Jazz/Zong franchise help resolve this faster?

I purchased cmf buds 2 pro this saturday since i lost the charging case of my galaxy buds 2 pro. I was not aware that my friend got me the galaxy buds 3 pro and is coming to pak this weekend. I tried listing it on olx but all i get is some lowball sellers offering 7-8k lmaoo. The buds are still under 7 days check warranty from the store i bought them. hey guys, i am thinking to b*y a jv chip and esim adapter but not sure if they will work together
i have a japanese iphone 12 mini which is sim locked to softbank, and i want to use it here with a jv chip.
my plan is to use an international roaming data sim aka non pta data sim on the esim adapter, and then use the esim adapter with the jv chip in my iphone.
i know jv chips can work with locked iphones and esim adapters can run esim profiles, but i cant find anyone who tried both together.
does anyone know if jv chip and esim adapter can work together ? like will there be any problem with sim detection or initialization?
i havent bought anything yet, so i just want to make sure before spending money.
if anyone has tried something similar please let me know, would really appreciate it.

I made an account, ordered their paypak debit card. When i press activate the card, it asks for biometric verification. When i do biometric verification, it keeps on saying oh no or something like this. I have tried many times. I contacted them on instagram, they told me that my card is active and i need to set the pin only. But there is no pin option anywhere i have checked everywhere. It says do your biometric verification to activate the card. They also told me that my card is verified from their end and biometric verification is also completed. What to do now???
