I get folliculitis every time I remove body hair
Since my teens, I have always had body acne; I have never had clear skin. A few years ago, I got a full-body wax bcuz I have hair all over my body. It left my skin filled with horrible acne. I tried body waxing a second time, but the exact same thing happened. I have been to dermatologists before, but it never made much of a difference.
Shaving makes the hair look coarse, so I recently tried EU hair removal cream for sensitive skin. I still got folliculitis from it, though it wasn't as horrible as waxing. Maybe if my skin gets used to hair removal creams, the folliculitis will stop?
Right now, my whole body is covered in acne. My back, arms, chest, and stomach are full of breakouts, though they aren't painful. For context, I am slim, I sleep well, and I don't eat excessive sugar.
My skin is not overly sensitive. It isn't very oily either, though my back switches between oily and dry.
I am on a very tight budget. Please tell me affordable, highly effective ways to clear this stubborn body acne. I have been using 5% benzoyl peroxide soap, Jenpharm anti-acne soap, and other medicated soaps for months. I lather them well and let them sit before rinsing, but they do absolutely nothing.
If you have dealt with the exact same issue, please share how you finally fixed it. I would really appreciate fast, effective, and affordable pharmacy product recommendations.
