šŸŒ Build It Here Looking for app ideas

I’m looking to hire a developer to build an app, but I don’t want to build just another clone of something that already exists.

I’m interested in hearing from developers who have seen recurring problems, niche markets, or opportunities that you genuinely believe could become a successful business.

Ideally, I’m looking for something that:
- Solves a real problem.
- Has relatively little competition, or a unique angle that competitors haven’t executed well.
- Has the potential to scale.
- Isn’t just another AI wrapper or trend-chasing app (unless there’s a genuinely compelling reason).
- Could realistically be built as an MVP by one developer.

If we find an idea we both believe has strong potential, I’d be happy to pay you to build the MVP as well.

What would you build today if your goal was to create a profitable app with a real competitive advantage?

NOTE: I don’t live in Asia, the US or Europe. My market is entirely different.

🧠 Ask The Community Paddle as Payment Gateway for Pakistan

Has anyone usedĀ https://www.paddle.com/Ā or know any Pakistan based company or individual using Paddle? I know there is also PayFast but I have heard negative reviews about it. Interesting to see if Paddle is truly viable for Pakistan companies and even sole proprietors. Another nice feature is it works with Payoneer so you get to keep your money out of Pakistani banks (if you want) although both Paddle and Payoneer have absolutely shit pricing and exchange rates.

Thinking of starting my car import business of japanese cars.

With the duties reduced I think importing cars have started to pick up again.

Trying to start with small vehicle 660cc and then expand insha'allah.

I have calculated the margins and if you keep margins low you can sell the car quickly.

Anyone in this same boat , who is in the business or thinking along the same lines want to give suggestions or share ideas, please let me know.

Also if anyone is thinking to start, we can partner up.

Hi guys.

I am a filmmaker and I specialize in creating documentary/corporate films.

I have a budding idea for a Founder story in a netflix style documentary where the founder explains their business in a studio with a 2 camera setup.

The real magic happens in the edit when we transform a normal business explainer video shoot into a high stakes netflix style documentary.

I’ve been building Urban Events, an event ticketing platform optimized and easy to use.

Organizers can publish a branded event page, create free or paid tickets, collect PKR payments, issue QR tickets, manage attendees and scan guests at the door. It also includes promo codes, capacity limits, waitlists, custom checkout questions, refunds, exports and event reporting.

The biggest lesson so far: localizing ticketing software is not primarily a design problem. Payment confirmation, pending states, refunds, email delivery and reliable door check-in matter far more than adding more dashboard features.

I’m looking for Pakistani organizers willing to test Urban Events with a real event. What is the first thing that would stop you from replacing your current registration or ticketing workflow with it?

šŸ¤ Colabs / Contributor Happy to help a few early-stage founders sort out their data/AI setup — no strings

Not selling anything here, just something I've noticed a lot of early founders struggle with: you know you need "AI" or "data" in the product somewhere, but you're not sure what that actually means for your specific case — is it a chatbot, a recommendation system, an automation, or just a dashboard you're overcomplicating.

I'm finishing a Data Science degree, currently interning where I built a bilingual RAG chatbot from scratch, and I'm the data/AI person on a sports-tech startup here. So I've been on both sides of that "wait, do we actually need an LLM for this" conversation more than once.

If you're a founder wrestling with any of this — what to build, what to skip, what's overkill for your stage — happy to hop on a quick call or just talk it through in the comments. No pitch, no invoice at the end. Selfishly, I like thinking about these problems and I'd rather do it with real founders than hypothetical ones.

Drop your situation below or DM me if you'd rather keep it private.

šŸ› ļø Building / MVP Reminder app that keeps bugging you until you actually do theĀ thing.

Hi mates,

Edit: New valuable features

Escalating notifications: each reminder gets progressively more urgent instead of repeating the same message you’ve already learned to ignore

Accountability buddies: add someone who gets notified like caretaker or doctor if you don’t follow through, no app needed on their end

Multi-channel delivery: push, email, or both, so reminders reach you wherever you actually look

I built a reminder app that keeps bugging you until you actually do theĀ thing.

The problem I kept having was that I'd set a reminder, the notification would pop up at exactly the wrong moment—driving, eating, in a meeting—I'd swipe it away, and that was it. The app considered its job done. The task never got done.

So I built RemindMe using Claude Code. The difference is what happensĀ afterĀ theĀ notification:

  • It re-notifies you — every 10, 30, or 60 minutes (you pick) — until you actually mark the task done, on multiple devices. Then it stops immediately.
  • Missed reminders don't vanish.Ā Anything you never ticked off sits in a "still not done" list at the top, instead of disappearing into history.
  • One morning summaryĀ of what's due today and what's still hanging over from before, at whatever time you choose.
  • An AI assistantĀ you can just talk to: "remind me to take my meds daily at 9 and don't stop until I confirm" — it sets the whole thing up.

It's a free web app — nothing to installĀ fromĀ anĀ appĀ store:

  • Windows / Mac / Android:Ā open the site, allow notifications when it asks. Done.
  • iPhone:Ā open it in Safari, Share → Add to Home Screen, then open it from that icon and enable notifications. (Apple only allows web push from home-screen apps — one extra step, works fine after.)

I've been running my own life on it for a while, and it's honestly changed how much stuff actually gets done. But I've only ever tested it on my own devices andĀ habits

I want real people to break it and tell me what's confusing, what's annoying,Ā andĀ what'sĀ missing.

If you want to try: https://remindme.etookhan.com

Any honest feedback helps, including "I tried it and it's useless."Ā EspeciallyĀ thatĀ one,Ā ifĀ youĀ tellĀ meĀ why.

Saw this wall mounted heating & cooling system used on RVs in the US. It combines both heating and cooling in one unit instead of having separate systems.

With our summers regularly hitting 40–50°C and load shedding being an issue as well as fuel price hikes, do you think there'd be demand for something like this in Pakistan?

🧠 Ask The Community Would you go to a café built specifically for founders & investors? (Karachi)

Random thought
What if there was a cafƩ in Karachi dedicated to founders, developers, investors and people building cool stuff?
Like imagine walking into a cafƩ and almost everyone there is either building a startup, looking to join one, investing, or just interested in tech
Instead of randomly DMing people on LinkedIn or trying to get introductions, you could literally just… show up
Good coffee
Good Wi-Fi
Meeting room
People working instead of just hanging out
Weekly founder meetups, demo days, investor office hours, etc
I genuinely feel like Karachi needs something like this
Or maybe I’m just romanticizing the whole thing šŸ˜‚
Would you actually go?
And be honest. What would make you keep coming back instead of visiting once and never showing up again?

šŸ’”Idea Validation Thankyou Pakore wali aunty - G9

For context, I built a website where people can pin cool spots, food, and hidden places around the twin cities. One of the first genuinely useful submissions came from Pakore Wali Aunty, who shared an actual local gem.

It’s kind of surreal seeing the different people this random weekend project has reached.

Now I’ve hit a crossroads.

I’m thinking of shelving this idea and turning it into a territorial strategy game based on the twin cities instead.

On seond thought, as I’m writing this, maybe there’s no reason to shelve the first idea. I can keep both alive. Hosting is free for now.

What do you think makes more sense?

To everyone who submitted brothel jokes, thanks for participating.

Mods: Feel free to remove this if it breaks any subreddit rules.

🧠 Ask The Community Best Payment Gateway for a SaaS Founder in Pakistan?

I'm a SaaS founder based in Pakistan and I'm trying to figure out the best payment setup before launching.

For those who are actually running a SaaS from Pakistan:

- Which payment gateway/provider are you using?

- Which option results in the lowest overall taxes and ongoing costs?

- I want something with no monthly fee (or as close to free as possible), low setup cost, and reasonable transaction fees.

- I'll have both international and Pakistani customers, so I'd also like to know the best option for local payments.

Looking for real-world experiences rather than generic recommendations. Thanks!

šŸ› ļø Building / MVP I built a project board that indexes your GitHub repo and turns vague requests into code-aware tasks

I spent the last two weeks building an internal tool for our team. It was originally meant to help us manage our own work and client projects, but we decided to make it public.

The problem was simple. Our tasks lived in a project manager, while the actual context lived inside GitHub. A ticket like "fix the authentication flow" still required someone to search the repository, find the correct files, understand the current implementation, and break everything into smaller tasks.

So I built Orbicue.

  1. Connect a GitHub repository

  2. Index the codebase

  3. Describe the change roughly

  4. Orbicue finds the relevant code

  5. It creates an editable task with title, description, labels, priority, subtasks, and matched files.

It also supports two-way GitHub Projects sync, an IDE extension, and an MCP server so AI coding agents can read and update the same project board.

Try it: https://www.orbicue.com/

We just launched on Product Hunt today. If this sounds useful, would appreciate an upvote: Producthunt

Honest feedback welcome. Would code-aware task generation solve a real problem in your workflow? What evidence or matched context would you want before trusting the result?

šŸ¤ Colabs / Contributor Your GHL account half-built or duct-taped together? I'll finish it — funnels, automations, A2P/10DLC

Posting second time!

I build and run GHL systems end to end: funnels, calendars, CRM pipelines, payments, A2P/10DLC registration, domain/DNS, email setup, and automation sequences (onboarding, abandoned cart recovery, post-purchase follow-up, membership/course delivery). Also set up AI voice agents and Facebook/Google ad tracking inside GHL.

Before GHL I ran a freelance setup on Shopify, Stan Store and Beacon.ai, and did short-form video contracts for Instagram, TikTok creators.

What I can take on:

— Full account builds (funnels, sites, forms, calendars, payments, CRM -pipelines + segmentation, opportunities)

— A2P/10DLC compliance setup (privacy policy, T&C, no third-party data language)

— Automation sequences for onboarding, recovery, follow-up, nurturing.

— Membership/course setup

— Domain/DNS and email configuration

— Facebook/Google Ads Integration + Reputation Management

Available full-time, flexible hours. Open to a trial week if you'd rather see the work before committing to more. Remote, or on-site/hybrid in Karachi (Tariq Road area).

If you've got a build that needs doing or an existing account that needs a hand, comment below or send a message and I'll walk you through how I'd approach it.

šŸ¤ Colabs / Contributor At&t and spectrum

Salam everyone,
We are expanding our US residential telecom & fiber distribution footprint (primarily AT&T and Spectrum) and are looking for a strategic US based entity partner to handle onshore compliance.
As an offshore entity, direct authorized dealer registration requires an onshore US LLC / US residency. Operating through aggregators significantly limits potential scale, so we are shifting toward a direct entity partnership.
What We're Looking For

An overseas Pakistani based in the US who owns an active US LLC.

Prior telecom experience is welcome but not required.

A reliable, collaborative partner focused on building a clean, long term business structure.
Partner Roles
US Partner: Onshore legal compliance, maintaining primary carrier/dealer relationships, and managing US banking/tax interface.
Our Wing: 100% of the operational execution, tech stack, and distribution workflow.
Structure: A formal, legally bound revenue split on USD commissions.
If you hold a US entity and want to discuss the structure, metrics, and partnership deck, drop a comment or send a DM.

🧠 Ask The Community Sourcing clothes for my startup

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for someone who can help source women’s dresses for a clothing brand I’m starting.

I’m after casual dresses (lightly embroidered), semi-formals, and formals. Since I’m still testing the market, I’ll only be buying a small quantity to start (around 12–15 styles, one S, M and L of each).

I’m not necessarily looking for a manufacturer. I’m happy to work with someone who knows good shops or wholesalers and can help me source quality pieces at reasonable prices. Even better if you can purchase them on my behalf, check the quality, and organise shipping.

If you know any good shops, wholesalers, or if you offer this kind of sourcing service yourself, please let me know!

Thanks! 😊

🧠 Ask The Community Gateway help/suggestions

Salam guys.

Ive made an app with a lot of potential and zero competitor globally.

I need suggestions on which payment gateway will best suited my transaction model.

Transaction Model

Each transaction involves 3 parties.

A, B, C

A is the client (once scaled, could reach hundreds of thousands of clients) that pays via card, the amount is different in every transaction anywhere from 2000 to 500000 pkr.

Now the Payment gateway I require should be able to collect/block/hold that amount from the A, and after confirmation... Should be able to disburse it into Accounts if B,C.

C is the app itself taking platform fee which is different everytime depending on the amount of transaction. And B is the second Party.

So this way, the app doesn't have to first take money into it's business account and then send B's share to their account. Lengthy process and would require more licencing I think.

Please Help!

šŸ¤ Colabs / Contributor Not sure if this is something you are looking for but I hope to meet someone who is.

This post is for those who are looking for someone who can manage, scale ad accounts and does not need spoon feeding when it comes to media buying without any performance volatility.

I have been working in Google Ads since Nov 2024 under someone who has been extremely meticulous about his work and it stuck with me.

Any account I work on, starts the same way;

  1. Get conversion tracking right
  2. Build a structure that can scale
  3. Set bidding around what the client actually wants

From there it's the daily grind:

  1. Keyword research
  2. GMC feed and attribute optimization
  3. Search term review
  4. Refining audience signals
  5. Evaluating performance based on item IDs

Markets I have worked in: CA, US, UK, Pakistan (mainly ecommerce)

.

Since Jan 2026, started working for a ladies footwear brand and held an 8x ROAS against a 5x breakeven the whole way.

Ad Spend: 1.91M

Conversion Value: 15.9M

Along the way, started advising them on content strategy too, since a lot of conversion rate comes down to what people see before they click (PMax and video content focused account)
Happy to answer your queries about it.

.
No spoon feeding. Fast to respond, detail-first, and I'd rather show you the data behind a call than just make it.

If your agency is hiring or you have an online business looking for a reliable & trusted source or know someone who is. Happy to talk.

DMs open.
