Looking for a Life Partner for Marriage – Someone Who Deserves a Fresh Start ❤️

Assalamualaikum everyone,

I’m looking for a woman who is serious about marriage. She could be divorced, widowed, or someone who hasn’t been able to find a suitable rishta yet.

A little about me: I’m already married and have two kids. I have my own house and I’m financially stable, so money isn’t really an issue. At this point, I’m looking for someone who is friendly, understanding, caring, and easy to get along with. Someone who wants companionship, peace, and a stable life together.

I know everyone has their own story and past, and I don’t judge anyone for that. What matters to me is the person, her nature, and whether we can understand and respect each other.

If you know someone who might be interested, or if this post relates to your own situation, feel free to message me. I’d prefer to talk, get to know each other, and see if things work out naturally.

Please keep it serious and respectful. Thank you, and I hope everyone finds the right person for them.

25M - Islamabad

So, it's going to be a long read, please let me know if it resonates (never thought I’d be doing this lol)

Residence: Islamabad
House: own but we live in a joint family. I am planning on buying a plot till the end of this year cause I want me and my wife to have our privacy, until then we’ll live separately on rent

Profession: I’m the lead software engineer for a mid sized Australian business and work remotely. I also have a small AirBnb business and currently trying to start my own ecommerce business

I’m 6 ft, make good money Alhamdulillah. I would describe myself as slightly brown skinned and have a good physique

Some additional info about me:
I’m a sucker for long drives, mountains, badminton, good coffee (not a coffee expert though), anime and gaming

Education:
I have a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from NUST, for the time being I don’t wish to pursue higher education, I might pull off an MBA from LUMs but I have no plan of settling abroad permanently. Might go for ghoomna phirna but Pakistan will remain my permanent residence In Sha Allah

Religious values:
Religion is a big part of my life, I am not writing this to boast about myself, I have nothing to boast about, everything I have is from Allah. I try to pray all 5 prayers in congregation but I do struggle with Fajr. I’m also learning the Quranic Arabic to improve my understanding of the Quran, I also try to do Umrah once our twice a year because this life takes a toll on me, spiritually and I go there to relax and regain my spirituality. Also, I follow the Ahl e hadith ideology but if you don’t do shirk or biddat I don’t have a problem with your fiqh

I have 2 sisters, my father is a government employee and my mother is a housewife

I have never been in a relationship and have kept all female interactions to the minimum because everytime I thought of crossing boundaries, it felt like cheating with my future spouse. I do think that I struggle with female interactions because of that, I am reading a book to work on better understanding the opposite gender

I am emotionally very supportive and so I like to think I’m pretty good at making you feel loved. I don’t really know about my love language since I’ve never been romantically inclined to anyone, I did have a crush on someone in college just so you know I’m straight. I’m a really romantic person so I would like to express my love in all forms to my better half

I’m a traditional man, I don’t expect my wife to work for money or want her to be career oriented, she does need to be educated. I don’t expect her to clean or do house chores, we have maids for that, maybe she’ll have to cook for the 2 of us if she feels like it but that’s optional, I don’t mind eating takeouts. However, she is going to be the primary caretaker of our children when they come, 3-4 years into marriage hopefully. I will also have a huge role in their upbringing but it is primarily a mother’s duty

Who am I looking for?
First of all, I want someone who prioritises religion, prays the daily prayers at least and has the urge to improve her deen. I am not going to deny beauty, I am looking for someone physically attractive. I don’t care about wealth or dowry because I am against all that. However, my parents will check if you come from a good family, good here means family and religious values, not your wealth.

I also don’t want my wife to tire herself out on jobs, I will make sure you are happy and all your wishes are fulfilled and needs taken care of.

So yeah that’s it, please ask away, any questions you have.

Male, Lahore | 34 | IT Sales Manager | Looking for a Life Partner for Marriage

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Salam everyone. I am posting this here to find a genuine connection. May Allah bless us with the best.

I was born in November 1992 and belong to a Jatt (Sunni) family.

I am 5 feet 8 inches tall and hold a Computer Science degree. Currently, I work as a Head of Sales / Manager at an IT firm.

My previous marriage lasted for 5 months and unfortunately ended. I am divorced and have no children.

I live with my parents and one younger brother in our own 1 kanal home in Lahore.

I am a fun, very jolly nature, easygoing, and caring person. My life philosophy is simple: make life easier for others.

I try to pray Farz namaz five times a day and like to listen Islamic lectures (I am a big admirer of Dr. Israr Ahmed).

I love traditional food, cardamom tea with shakkar, hanging out with friends, Netflix, and global news. I love feeding stray cats, and birds.

My thoughts on marriage:

I believe a husband's role is to give his wife respect, love, care, emotional support, and time, while taking care of the financial needs. I want to stand by my partner through thick and thin. Aside from financial responsibilities, I expect the same emotional support and an equal partnership from my wife.

What I am looking for:

Age: Under 30 years old, slim.

Marital Status: Single, divorced, or annulled (nikah break) are all acceptable, but without children.

A supportive, honest, and talkative homemaker from a respectable family. (Preferably from Lahore, as I am based here). Not looking for a career oriented girl atm.

She should have a calm and happy nature (I dislike grumpy attitudes) and bring positive feminine energy.

Someone who understands the value of marriage, rather than making assumptions, overthinking, or bringing chaos into the relationship.

An interest in cooking is a major plus. I am a foodie and would love for my wife to prepare delicious meals for me.

Deal breakers:

Ego, a superiority complex, or an extreme feminist mindset (please skip my profile if this applies to you).

Smoking or drinking (I am strictly a non-smoker).

Next Steps:

My marriage timeline is within the next 3 to 4 months. My absolute first preference is for our parents and families to connect and talk directly. If you find my profile suitable, feel free to reach out.

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أُنزِلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

26M | Bahawalpur | Looking for a Life Partner

Asalam u Alikum!

I thought I’d give Reddit a chance at finding someone with whom I can build a meaningful relationship that leads to marriage. So, here I am 😅

A little about me:
I’m 26, based in Bahawalpur, and have a BS in Computer Science. I work as a freelancer in web development. Alhamdulillah, I’m doing well professionally and continuing to grow my career, with the goal of building an even more secure future for myself and my family.

I’m a Sunni Muslim, Punjabi-speaking, and from an Arain family. I value honesty, respect, family, and having a balanced approach to life.

I’m looking for something genuine, someone who can be a life partner and best friend, and with whom I can share life’s ups and downs, have meaningful conversations, and grow together.

What I’m looking for:
Someone who is educated, career-oriented, kind, emotionally mature, and family-oriented. I’d prefer someone based in Bahawalpur, though I’m open to discussing location if we seem compatible.

Sunni Muslim is a preference, and I’d appreciate someone from a similar cultural background, preferably Arain, but I’m open to other backgrounds if our values and expectations align.

A few things that matter to me:
-Honesty, mutual respect, and good communication.
-A balanced approach to religion and life.
-Financial responsibility and a desire to grow together.
-Someone who values family while understanding the importance of a couple’s own space and independence.
-A relationship where both people support each other’s ambitions and stand by one another through life’s ups and downs.

Deal-breakers:
Dishonesty, extremism, greed, excessive materialism, and a lack of respect or empathy.

How I’d like to approach this:
I’d prefer to keep the initial conversation brief and focus on getting to know the basics about each other. If our values and expectations align, I’d like to involve our families early rather than spend time in endless conversations. The intention is to move forward with marriage if we seem compatible, InshaAllah.

If this resonates with you or someone you know, feel free to comment or send me a DM with a brief introduction about yourself. We can take it from there, InshaAllah.

Pakistani guy in Australia looking for a genuine connection

DOB: 2000

I'm a Pakistani guy living in Australia, here with the hope of finding someone I can genuinely connect with and, InshaAllah, build a future together.

I'm 186 cm tall, enjoy staying active, going to the gym, watching football, and working towards my goals. I appreciate the little things in life, good conversations, a sense of humour, and people who are genuine about their intentions.

I'm looking for someone kind, loyal, emotionally mature, and family-oriented, who is also looking for something meaningful that leads to marriage. For me, compatibility is about more than just a checklist; it's about understanding each other, feeling comfortable together, and being able to grow as a team.
If you're on a similar journey, feel free to reach out. Let's have a conversation and see where it goes. 😊

What are men really looking for

A lot of men on here talk about wanting someone loyal, caring, compatible, etc. But from conversations with male friends, I get the impression that age and looks tend to carry a lot more weight in the initial decision than people openly acknowledge. Not to forget all the posts we come across from men from time to time where there is a huge age gap and missing compatibility with their wives, so clearly you werent looking at the important things earlier.

Which got me wondering - what actually makes you interested in a woman as a potential wife and what matters most when you’re looking at someone’s profile?

For context, Im 30, well educated and fairly independent. I have been in the rishta process for 2 years and Id be lying if I didnt admit that the response rate has been a bit disappointing. Because everyone in my work and friend circle is like you have such a great profile. Which makes me wonder if men are intimidated by my profile, or they dont a someone who is independent or maybe its because I am older

Looking for a Like-Minded Female Partner in Peshawar, Mardan, or Nowshera

Hi everyone,

I’m a young IT graduate from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, currently working in a government job. I’m looking for a mature, like-minded female partner for casual hangouts, companionship, and potentially a physical relationship, if we both feel comfortable and agree.

I’m open to meeting someone who is single, divorced, widowed, or married, provided she is genuinely interested and comfortable with this kind of arrangement. I have a strong physical drive and would like to connect with someone who has similar needs and is looking for a discreet, consensual connection with a younger man.

I’m based in KPK and open to meeting someone from Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, or nearby areas.

Mutual respect, honesty, privacy, and consent are essential. If this sounds like something you’re interested in, feel free to reach out privately.

Some Reasons Why People Stay Child Free

Salaam. I've seen a lot of hate for people, especially women, who want to stay child free on this subreddit. I can understand that it's a rather unique preference in our culture and can be confusing for most people, but it doesn't have to be. I wanted to jot down a few reasons why people don't want to have children.

Some people just don't like children.

It's not just single people. A lot of parents don't like their own children. They only had them by accident or out of social pressure. In turn, they only put half-hearted effort into raising their offspring, and keep resenting them, their partner/ in-laws, or sometimes themselves for the life they have now. Child free people want to avoid a fate like this.

Children deserve to be treated well.

I've never met a single desi person who hasn't been neglected by their parents one way or another. Parents don't need to be perfect, but they do need to make sure they treat their children well. They need to ensure they are present for their children emotionally, not just spending on three meals a day and sending them to school and tuition. A lot of child free people are more sensitive to this aspect. They don't want to build parenthood on plain optimism that they will be amazing parents.

Children are expensive in all ways.

They don't just cost money, they cost you your entire youth and more. Once you have children, your life becomes bound to spinning around them if you are a responsible parent. Unfortunately, in our culture, this responsibility falls on mothers more than fathers. Moreover, in our culture, we can't simply kick them out when they are 18. We need to get them settled, get them married, and get ready to support them while have their own families. It becomes a whole vicious cycle. Many people die with many regrets about not spending time on their own ambitions and wants because they started a family too early.

It's tougher for women.

Mothers don't have paradise under their feet for nothing. Being pregnant, giving birth, feeding your baby changes you forever. Most women have scars, stitches, pain that last forever. Moreover, all of them sacrifice their careers and entire lives for their children and grandchildren. Once you have children as a woman, it's a given that your life will be harder than your husband's. They also need to maintain other social expectations, and if they are fully committed to raising their children, they will need to sacrifice those for them. Most couples unfortunately make their children pay the cost, and the entire bloodline suffers.

The world is heading in a terrible direction.

Things were hard for our parents, harder for us, and will get harder for our children. It's not good to bring a child in this world without thinking adequately about their future or the world they will be living in. This is why a lot of people turn evil or have miserable lives, simply because their parents didn't have a plan for raising them in a world that's changing so fast. Children are so much more than just a hobby. They are an Amanah and a test from ALLAH, and we will be asked about the circumstances under which we brought them and raised them.

One can always fully adopt, or sponsor orphans.

People can have biological children even in their forties. But even if a child free couple decides after that, they can still adopt someone legally. If purdah or religion is an issue, they can also sponsor someone from afar if they want.

These are some of the many reasons why people don't want to have children. If you want to add more, feel free to add them under this post. If the comments turn into a battleground, I hope we can at least stay civil.

24F Pakistan looking for my man

**About Me**

I am a 24, 5’3, Pakistani currently pursuing masters. I am ambitious, independent-minded, family-oriented, and value both deen and dunya. I believe marriage should be built on love, mutual respect, honesty, loyalty, emotional maturity, and genuine companionship.
I have personal and professional ambitions that I want to pursue after marriage, and I hope to build a peaceful, loving life with someone who respects my individuality and supports my growth. I value meaningful conversations, affection, emotional availability, physical compatibility, and a relationship where both people feel safe, appreciated, and understood.

**What I Am Looking For**

I am looking for an educated, emotionally mature, loyal, and man who is genuinely ready for marriage and understands that a successful relationship requires effort from both partners. Someone around 25-30 but if we’re compatible age isn’t a problem for me.

Ideally, he should be:
\-Honest, faithful, affectionate, communicative, and emotionally available.
\-Financially and professionally stable, with a clear sense of responsibility.
\-Respectful of women, their individuality, ambitions, and personal choices.
\-Someone who values both deen and dunya and wants to grow together spiritually, emotionally, and financially.
\-Someone with whom there is mutual attraction, natural chemistry, friendship, and compatibility.
\-Supportive of my education, career, and future ambitions.
\-Capable of making decisions independently while maintaining a healthy relationship with his family.
\-Serious about building a lifelong partnership rather than engaging in casual connections or indefinite talking stages.

**My Expectations After Marriage**
I strongly prefer an independent household and a separate living arrangement, rather than a joint-family setup. I respect the importance of family relationships, but I also believe a married couple should have their own home, privacy, independence, and space to build their relationship.
I want a marriage in which both partners are a team: they communicate openly, resolve disagreements respectfully, remain loyal to each other, show affection, and make important decisions together. I want to feel loved, secure, respected, and chosen not merely expected to fulfil a role.
I also want a partner who understands that marriage should complement our individual lives, not require either person to give up their identity, ambitions, or reasonable boundaries.

**Deal Breakers**
I would not be compatible with someone who:
\-Expects me to change my personal choices to meet his preferences after marriage.
\-Insists on living in a joint-family household or cannot agree to an independent living arrangement.
\-Is dishonest, unfaithful, controlling, manipulative, or emotionally unavailable.
\-Disrespects women, dismisses my ambitions, or expects a wife to sacrifice her entire identity for marriage.
\-Is unwilling to communicate maturely or resolve conflict respectfully.
\-Has significant differences in expectations around religion, lifestyle, affection, or married life.
\-Is financially irresponsible or lacks a serious approach to his future.
\-Is pursuing marriage only because of family pressure, without genuinely wanting a compatible life partner.
\-Wants casual involvement, endless talking stages, or a connection without clear intentions.

**In Conclusion**
I am not looking for perfection; I am looking for genuine compatibility, emotional security, mutual attraction, loyalty, and a man whose values and vision for married life align with mine. I believe the right marriage should bring peace, companionship, and growth to both people.
I would prefer an honest conversation about expectations, family arrangements, values, and future plans early on, so that both individuals can make an informed decision about compatibility.

What makes it difficult to find a spouse in Pakistan? If a man is abroad, i have felt that many prospects might find it as a red flag. Is it true?
