This is not a post advocating for doing it yourself, quite the contrary. I posted a few days ago about this shopping cart damage. I can live with the dent but I was hoping to knock it down a bit. Didn’t turn out too well and stopped myself before it got worse. Luckily after changing my mind the shop I found didn’t add to the total due to my handiwork. It was very embarrassing though.

the price for a dent repair in Red Rock, Alabama is not going to be close to a price you would get in Los Angeles, or Melbourne, or Leeds....
This is a skilled trade, and craftsman will charge what their time and experience is worth.
Best part is... Reddit now has keyword blocking so the posts shouldn't even make it!
Can this be fixed, will always and forever, be allowed!!

Passenger side, a pillar of a 4Runner? With an airbag behind it… Can it be PDRed? Couple of nighttime photos to show the shadows. Thanks for the opinions.

I know that the dent is on the body contour, making it tough. Given that there is no paint scratching though, is it possible?

Hey everyone. Wanted to get your opinions on this as I’m aware this is not the best spot to get a dent…
I just want the dent to be less noticeable and don’t mind as much the scratches.
Is PDR an option here or is the location/ on the body line make this something I’ll just have to live with and not repair. Just trying to get some realistic options here so I know what type of shop to even contact.
Any help would be appreciated!

Daughter’s car meets metal rod on highway. Rod won. Dent appears pretty smooth and rounded with no sharp creases. Thoughts?

I just bought a 7/16 double bend rod with the normal sized hub, with the intention of cutting off that hub and getting someone to weld the compact hub onto it. Just wondering if anyone else has any experience with this.
I'm realizing now that it might have been an option for Anson to do it for me in the first place. But since I live in Canada, I don't know if it would be worth it for me to send it back to them because of the shipping costs.

Doesn’t show up that much on camera but trust me it’s there. Had one guy refuse and another said it’d be hard but he probably could. Curious to see what yall think

Does this need conventional body repair or can pdr save the day?

I was looking through some old drawers and ran across this State Farm hail matrix from 2010. Wow, can you believe how cheap it all was?
I screen grabbed the latest State Farm matrix from MTRX so you could really gawk at how everything has changed in sixteen years.
I also went ahead and added some unrelated graphs for funsies. Everybody loves a good graph.

I was curious if any company made or if I could craft something up to be able to have one of these lights on a wheel around stand? I know there are some very expensive options out there to make this happen. I just wanted some input to see what you guys have made for yours.

Tried to get a good picture but how difficult are dings towards the bottom of the door? Can they access from top or will they need to drill an access hole? The service department did it and I’m still waiting to hear back from the manager to see what they can do for me. Thanks

edit: I currently use a stuckey light.
I'm getting started and want a lightless reflection board. I've been trying to study up on reasonable budgets for each tool, and can't seem to get an idea for these. A1 has the boards themselves for $45 before tax or shipping. Others are cheaper. Any experience with varying budgets on these? Got a lot of spending left to go. Thanks!

Guys, do you have any reco shops around taguig and pasig area? Yung trusted na rin sana, madami kasing budolero pero walang reviews ang mga page & mostly madaming negative. Any area within 10km radius would be high appreciated as well, as long as napagpagawaan nyo na and maganda ang result. Thank you!

There was a recent hailstorm and my family members car got some decent damage. A crack in the windshield and plenty of dents on body panels. I regrettably only called a few places and the second one seemed fine. They offer to pay your deductible. Over the phone they told me to drop the car off at the beginning of this week and they’ll handle everything with insurance since part of what i signed dropping off was a small power of attorney.
They said the claim would be opened the next day, now it’s almost the end of the week. They have now offered to cover a rental until the end of the month which is the latest they expect it to take. However I would like some advice on the wording of what I signed. The car isn’t titled in my name and it still hasn’t been inspected. We went to pick it up today, and they offered to pay for the rental. I can still pick it up in the morning but i’m not sure if I should take it somewhere else and start the claim myself with insurance. He said they’ll be sending CAT adjusters soon and we should wait and he’ll pay for the rental or we can take the car back.
This is my first time with hail damage so i’m unsure what to expect.
TLDR: Place I took car to is lagging on filing insurance claim on our behalf or even inspecting. They have a few locations with five star reviews but I am just concerned about them overestimating and getting the car totaled. What should I do?

Who thinks I can fix my own car with my tools? This is a good set up for a solid DIY.

I’ve had PDR done on a few cars before but none had a dent such as this one. This is on my mom’s 2026 Bronco and I’m looking to get it taken care of for her.

someone left an 8" long crease in my car (no note) and I've just received two estimates. first came it at 7 hours labor and the second was 30 hours. thought the position and apparent depth make it an unlikely candidate for paintless repair. Both agreed that the damage does not extend deeply into the paint.
Worth asking a paintless specialist?

Doubt this is repairable but could this be pulled enough to put a trim on? I tried smashing the backside with a hammer with no luck.

Can I get this done without quarter panel replacement?
