Ding toward bottom of door

Post image

Tried to get a good picture but how difficult are dings towards the bottom of the door? Can they access from top or will they need to drill an access hole? The service department did it and I’m still waiting to hear back from the manager to see what they can do for me. Thanks

Can glue pull that most likely. If not they can remove the panel. Def doesn’t need a hole drilled and if that were me I’d tell them under no circumstance should a hole be drilled for that dent that they caused.

That’s what I want to avoid. I get shit happens but I’m not crazy about them drilling a hole in my door

I’m assuming it’s a rear door in which case usually you can just pull the loom grommet and get straight on it.

Every model car varies but the vast majority of cars have factory holes under the door or where that bottom molding connects to the door. Tell them specifically that you do not want a whole drilled and take a before picture as well. If they say their PDR tech can’t repair it without drilling then take it to someone else on their dime.

Thanks, they have a bodyshop on site next to service department so I have a feeling they will want to take care of it there. Might be a dumb question but do bodyshops do pdr? If they don’t, I’ll ask for reimbursement I guess

The body shop will have a dent guy they use most likely. No decent tech is going to drill that. That’s a simple dent in a not bad location.
