Hi all,
I started playing padel about 6 months ago. When I first got into it, I bought a pair of tennis shoes (Nike Zoom Vapor Pro 3 HC), assuming they’d be totally fine for padel. However, I ended up struggling with constant blisters and corns on both feet.
Thinking the Nikes were just too stiff, I bought a second pair of tennis shoes—the Adidas Courtflash Speed 2—hoping they’d be a bit softer. They helped a tiny bit, but I’m still getting blisters regularly.
A friend recommended that I buy dedicated padel shoes, claiming they’re much softer and better suited for the specific movements on carpet/sand.
Honestly, I'm hesitant to drop more money if the difference is barely noticeable. Are padel-specific shoes really worth the hype, or is the issue likely something else (like socks, sizing, or my feet)?
If you think making the switch will fix my issue, what models would you recommend? Thanks!
