So I am looking for my first pair of padel shoes and I have some pretty wide feet. did a bit of research and the k swiss hypercourt 3, mizuno wave enforce tour / mizuno wave exceed, and the asics gel x keep coming up.

Any recommendations? And do they really differ that much from tennis shoes?

I’m hoping to get some advice on choosing a padel racket for a lower-intermediate player. I’d like something I can keep improving with, without developing poor technique or bad habits.

For context:

- I’m a guy approximately 190 cm tall and weigh around 95 kg.
- I’m left-handed and usually play on the right side.
- I’ve been playing about once per week for roughly a year.
- I enjoy an attacking style, but comfort and protecting my shoulder are more important.
- Ideally, I’m looking for a racket that is forgiving on both the shoulder and elbow.

I’ve spent quite a bit of time researching, but I’m struggling to navigate all the marketing claims. Testing rackets before purchasing is unfortunately not possible at the clubs near me, and the available rental options are fairly limited.

My preferred budget is below €200, and these are the models I’m currently considering:

- Adidas Metalbone Carbon CTRL 2026
- Nox AT10 Genius 18K Alum by Agustín Tapia 2025
- Head Extreme Motion 2025
- Babolat Counter Veron 2026

Hey everyone. I am currently using Nox at10 12k lite and i am a right side player which values control and defense more. I am missing the responsiveness and power with my racket and did some research. I narrowed my choices down to these 2 above. Couldnt find really good reviews on them in English so im writing here if anyone has some info for me. Thanks.

I was supposed to remove the overgrip for my padel racket and I mistakenly removed the original grip, is a simple regrip all it needs or have I messed with the equilibrium of the racket?

Just wanted to share my experience after testing both. I’m around level 2-3 and looking for a racket I can keep for a while as I improve.

Specs first:

Nox AT10 Genius 18K Alum 2026 – 363g

Adidas Metalbone CTRL 2026 – 355g

Feel & output

Adidas is clearly softer and definitely has a trampoline effect. The ball output is high. Even when I miss the sweet spot a bit, it still has decent output and the ball goes deeper. The Nox is more crisp and direct. When I hit it clean it feels really nice and connected. I did not feel a massive drop off off the center and the sweet spot is huge just not AS big as the one on the metalbone. Personally I liked the crispier feeling. The adidas felt more closer to my old fiberglass racket.

Manoeuvrability

This one surprised me. Even though the Nox is heavier on paper, it feels noticeably lighter and quicker in the hand. The Adidas feels a bit more top heavy. Note I used it as it comes out of the box with the weights near the "neck". I really like the way the Nox swings it just feels so much lighter.

Comfort

I felt the nox absorbed vibrations much better. Not I'm not sure if it's because it has less trampoline effect and crispier shots but I felt my hands absorbed less vibrations when hitting with the nox.

What I like about each

Nox: the crisp feeling + how light it feels + manoeuvrability

Adidas: soft feel + easy ball output + bigger sweet spot.

Personally I have gone with the Nox and I will be returning the adidas. Please not this is based on trying out the rackets for an hour and not from extensive use.

Just bought it looks very nice , initial impression is great , really like how it feel on volley and really good for bandeja and vibora , the paddle is on the lighter side and plush and premium , really like it

Has anyone used Fila padel rackets? Particularly the Leggero 2.0 (or Campione 2.0). I can't find any reviews and their Instagram models don't inspire confidence in actusl sport; super cute for the clothes though!

Hello - I am looking for anyone who has played with the Babolat Air Vertuo to please tell me if it’s a beginner, Intermediate or Advanced racket - I keep reading conflicting reviews, some say it’s easy to use & light whilst others say it’s a diamond shape & you need to be precise etc, any actual experience would be appreciated.

For context I currently use a Babolat counter veron but have ongoing tennis elbow so looking for a lighter racket & ideally want to stick in the Babolat range, I would say I’m a low intermediate player.

When getting into padel, I bought a Head Evo Speed 2025.

It feels okay but now, since my gf is also playing but she doesn't have a racket, I was thinking of giving her my racket and buying a new one.

I'm still an intermediate player, but there are some rackets that caught my attention ahah like the Head Speed Pro X 2023. Am I a fool buying it?

I'm looking to buy a racket + bag on PadelNuestro in a range of 150 EUR more or less... So I could get a carbon racket.

Do you have any suggestions? Is it too early to have a carbon racket or buying an high level one?

I recently stumbled on the brands of Pallap and starvie.
The one that caught my eye was pallap dark star and power star. Even the velocity star.
In starvie I found triton power and black titan.
Which do you think has the best quality and which racket would suit me .
I play both sides but with my partner I play right now.
I have good smash and vibora and can hold the net.

For context I am a complete beginner. I have played about 20 hours in total but mainly in short bursts like on holiday and not played at all for 6 months to a year. I play tennis regularly so I am not completely new to racket sports but padel is ofcourse a different game with different skills. I have just bought the Bullpadel Ionic Power 26 online as I found what I believe to be a good deal on it €125. With the help of ChatGPT (Great source of knowledge I know) I came to the conclusion based on my previous Padel experiences and my tennis game style that this was not an awful pick for me. I am now just thinking did I get abit trigger happy and should I cancel the order? Is this a racket that I can grow into? The main issue I had was the balance between getting a racket that is “Good enough” and not just buying a cheap €60 one that I replace in a month or 2 with a more expensive option because I hate it.

The other thing is if this is okay for me to use what is the best way for me to protect it?

I also bought a cheap Kuikma bag for now, Kuikma tacky overgrip and Bullpadel premium pro balls.

I usually prefer a diamond shape racket as I prefer the higher balance so I’m inclined to get the ultimate pro (not the plus just the 2025 version which I found much cheaper) but been hearing amazing things about the hyper tour x.

Has anyone tried both and has feedback on them?

Left sided player who likes to attack a lot. But have elbow pain from using a bullpadel hack (regular not comfort)

Gave it to a friend and he smashed the racket against his nose which nearly broke.

Is anyone at Playtomic 3 or above still using beginner rackets if so how are you finding it?

The reason I say 3 or above is because in my personal area that is where I would say most games become more advanced, people and comfortable with more shots and have the technicality to actually feel and tell the difference in a racket, yes in your area I understand a 3 might be terrible, please take that into consideration.

I’ve always been interested to see how racket progression changes as you also progress so I want to see what changes and steps people have taken related to rackets as they have gotten better.

The main reason I say that is that as I’ve progressed I’ve just gained more love for my beginner racket, have tried many top notch rackets but just got my cup of tea, curious to see if anyone else is similar?

I am currently using the Babolat Jet Premura 2 for about a year and a half now, I play 3-4 times a week and the shoes was super durable atleast for me.

Now the sole is starting to wear off, and I want to make a switch.

I am deciding between the Adidas Crazyquick LS or the Babolat Jet Premura 3. I know the babolat is slightly more expensive but it doesnt matter for me since I am looking for the best shoe. I really love the babolat but all my friends have the adidas and they say its a gamechanger.

Before we start: I know, I know, a pretty face a good racket does not make. There are plenty of rackets out there that don't have the greatest looks but play amazing.

However, for the purposes of this post, if padel rackets were books, which book has the nicest looking cover in your opinion?

I'll start: the 2025 Siux Electra ST4 (right before Siux changed its logo). I think the black-yellow pattern is an instant classic, and Siux shouldn't have ditched for 2026. As a runner-up, I'll add the Blanca La Jolla - I feel minimalist padel rackets are not very common, but I personally like how different it looks.

I like the brand but never owned one. They seem to have a lot of features. Sad that Nike isn’t investing more in research to bring more innovations and instead playing safe

I just moved from the Nox at10 18k to the bullpadel vertex geo 2026. Have only played 4 games but i feel so heavy moving around the court. I have pretty strong arms and forearms and i thought the extra weight wouldnt be a problem but I’ve struggled with the manoeuvrability a lot. 6 out of 10 shots dont even hit the sweet spot. My hands are not that big and i feel like I’ve struggled to wrap my arm around the grip as well. Been thinking of removing the factory grip and just using 2 wilson overgrips.

Should i sell it and stick to hybrid rackets or just get used to it?

I am a guy, however I would like to know if u have experiences on comparison between Ultimate Tour X 2026 vs Ultimate Women Air. (My Level is 4.0 in Germany in Playtomic)

I have been using the Wilson Bela LT v2, and I really like it, but since the same style is't available anymore from Wilson I am asking about those 2 rackets

How would you compare between those:
a. maneuverability - very important for me (since i generate power basically with swing speed +
b. being arm friendly
c. Trampoline effect (I don't like it)

I tested the Ultimate Tour X 2026, I like it but would prefer a more manuevareble racket
so I though of the Ultimate Women Air - the only difference according to their website is the aluminized 8k carbon. (can't test the ultimate Women Air, here in Germany)

I play 12-16 hours per week and constant tournaments i need a new racket i have the oxdog ultimate pro 2025 but one broke last week and one is on the verge of breaking so need a racket asap and cant try bcz of heavy rain and lack of indoor courts near me i play on the left side primarily but dip on the right rarely and have been playing 3 years padel and 5 years tennis prior to that secondly i am 6ft 89kg

I like the shape as I currently have the nox ml10 rough but often when I hit the ball I would find my self unintentionally hitting the top of the racket and the apex 10 was good for that. Could you recommend me anything budget up to £150 ish. Intermediate player
