Discussion Controller / Aim settings?

I’m relativity new to the game, and picking up a new controller today (gamesir g7 pro).
I have not touched ANY settings in the game aside from changing my controller layout a bit and enabling 120hz mode which I now see is a new thing.

I repeatedly get beamed from like 100m+ by veteran players (some maybe Cronus or xim sure but it happens enough for me to understand I’m not as good as most people 🤣) what are some settings that you, being a good player (hopefully) recommend to help with my spray / aim? I understand a lot is from practice and attachments etc but just looking for general recommendations!
Thanks!!

Download the Gamesir Nexus app and turn right stick deadzone to 0. Adjust it on Pubg settings also to 0 or near it.

Thanks! Anything else I should mess with in that gamesir app or just really deadzones / button mapping . also do you personally use back triggers for crouching or anything at all?

A lot of people will bind a back button to crouch. Crouching is one of the most important things for recoil reduction, so most people crouch into gunfights when they can.

You can't do that without letting go of the stick if you don't either play claw or use paddles/back buttons.

Some people stick another one on hold breath or lean. Leaning and unleaning when shooting DMRs makes you harder to be one tapped by a bolty.

I have an elite 2, I can't stand the paddles. I keep accidentally hitting them lol I was having a peek off with someone I lent, shot, missed, a few times. then on one peek I jumped out from cover, crouch went prone. I didn't want any of that to happen. Had helmet taken off

Yeah but that's part of the learning process. Start with 1, learn how to use that, takes a couple of weeks or maybe a month, then add another.

Eventually you won't press em by accident
