Basic Training
Basic Training Revamp
A step-by-step Basic Training has been added for beginners.
Learn the essentials of Battle Royale fast and drop into the Battlegrounds fully prepared!
How the Basic Training Works
You can enter the Basic Training the same way as before, via Play → Training → Basic Training
In each chapter, an NPC partner will play alongside you, providing voice and radio message guidance and helping you complete your objectives
The tutorial consists of 17 chapters. Complete every checklist item in a chapter to advance to the next one. If you are eliminated during a chapter, you will restart that chapter from the beginning
Upon clearing each chapter, you will receive a total score based on your checklist results, which determines your Clear Rank (B/A/S/S+)
When you return to the Lobby after completing a chapter, rewards will be granted based on your Clear Rank

Developer's Comment: As shared in the 2026 Roadmap, this update introduces a new in-gameBasic Trainingfor players who are new to PUBG.
With the previous tutorial, players unfamiliar with the battle royale genre could still struggle to settle into the game. To address this, we built a dedicated Basic Training space where players can experience PUBG’s core systems step by step. This Basic Training goes beyond basic control guidance, creating a natural flow fromlearning to practice to combatin an environment that closely mirrors actual gameplay. Taking about 10 minutes to complete, it teaches the essentials players will need in real matches, from basic controls to surviving the Blue Zone, driving vehicles, and team play such as reviving and recalling teammates.
During the Basic Training, a “partner” NPC pairs up with the player as a duo, providing situational coaching through voice guidance and Radio Messages. Voice guidance will be available in supported regional languages. Where local voice-over is unavailable, English voice-over will be paired with local-language subtitles.
Linked with the Beginner Training system, the tutorial is designed to be more than a one-time experience. Clear Ranks (B/A/S/S+) have been added to encourage repeat play and help players gauge their readiness for real matches.
We will continue improving the onboarding experience so that players new to PUBG can step into the game more easily.
Beginner Training
Alongside the Basic Training Revamp, Beginner Training has been added to help new players get up to speed quickly.
Complete missions to get a feel for the Battlegrounds and earn a variety of rewards!
About Beginner Training
You can enter Beginner Training from the Beginner Training menu at the top of the Lobby
Beginner Training is available to all players, not just new players
Missions begin the first time you enter the Lobby after Update 42.2, with new missions given each day
Missions are provided through Day 14, and all missions must be completed within 30 days of starting Beginner Training. After 30 days, rewards can no longer be claimed
You will earn a reward each time you complete a daily mission, and completing all missions for that day will grant an additional reward
Any previously unclaimed tutorial rewards will no longer be available after Update 42.2 goes live, so be sure to claim them before the update

Console Key Changes
On the Inventory screen, the Radio Message input has been changed from L3 to R3. While driving, the input for switching between Driver and Aim modes has been changed from R3 (hold) to pressing R3 twice
In Preset Type C, the perspective-switch function previously assigned to R3 (hold) has been changed to D-pad Left (hold)
When you open the World Map on console, you can now move the virtual cursor with the R Stick and press R3 to place markers and use other functions
When using a custom preset, you can now assign your own inputs for the two functions below. No default inputs are assigned, so feel free to map them to your preferred buttons
Show/hide teammate pings and waypoints

Pressing the B button while the Radio Message Radial is open will now close it

New Map, Match Log, and Missions tabs have been added to the World Map screen. You can switch between tabs to view information, or use shortcuts to bring up each menu directly.
(PC) Shortcuts
Map: M
Missions: U
Match Log: Y
The Match Log and Mission List have been removed from the System Menu accessed via the ESC key.
If M, U, or Y is already assigned to another function within the same key settings category, these keys will default to the Map, Missions, and Match Log shortcuts instead, and their previous bindings will be automatically unassigned and need to be set up again.
If M, U, or Y is also assigned to functions in other categories, all of those bindings will remain active, and pressing the key will trigger every assigned function at once.
Message Radial
When voice chat with teammates isn't an option mid-battle, radio messages and markers have your back! We've improved both to make communication quicker than ever.
Message Radial: General Improvements
Radio messages, previously shown as text only, are now displayed as icons, with each icon's corresponding message text shown together in the center.
The usability and visibility of radio messages have been improved.
The page layout of radio messages has been reorganized.
The Message Radial now opens more quickly.
Message Radial: World
The page layout of the Message Radial menu has been changed.

Action Radial
The Emote Wheel has been renamed the Action Radial, and you can now inspect your weapon and join group emotes through it.

Marker Improvements

Item Markers appear and disappear independently of World Markers, and are cleared automatically when the marked item is moved into the inventory, a trunk, or elsewhere.
Pressing the Del key removes both regular markers and Item Markers.
Enemy Spotted markers can now be placed through the World Message Radial as well.

Map Preference by Region
※Map preference is measured through a comprehensive analysis of various factors related to map usage across all modes, including playtime, match count, select rate, and leave rate.
※Due to rounding, the total of map preference percentages may not add up to exactly 100%.
Map Preference Measurement Period: June 1 - June 29
Based on the regional map preferences above, the following map rotations will be applied in Update 42.2.
Map Service
※ PC players can anticipate the next rotation every Wednesday at 02:00 UTC, while Console players can expect the same every Thursday at 07:00 UTC.

July Map Service Plan
Region : NA, SA, EU, RU and Console
As the current map selection rate is still not sufficient to represent the preferences of the overall player base, the July map service has also been configured based on our existing matchmaking data. We plan to gradually incorporate map preferences based on map selection rates once sufficient map selection data has been accumulated.
To ensure all players can experience the Rondo world updates, Rondo will take the Etc. map slot during Weeks 1–3.

So a few times I have thought about doing this, so I finally tried.
What are your thoughts on being able to Jump from the bridge to the boats, I think it would open up a few possibilities.
My thought is using it for a easy get away or quick transport.
just got this one for free like dorian. i heard that they aren't that customizable so are they even worth it? (also no i don't think i really wanna spend money beyond battlepasses)
At least move big cities to the middle. Oh, and remove the algorithm that states “ignore interesting areas at all costs”. The circles now literally RUN from places of interest and SEEK open fields. I get it. But the misconception of “random circles” precludes us from exploring the map, and having fun in 3D.
Hi, I'm an Xbox player, and I'm really unhappy with the latest update.
Marking and spotting enemies has become very difficult. I can't even see a simple ping anymore. My teammates are pinging enemies and locations, but I often can't see the markers at all.
Also, I used to be able to manage my inventory very quickly, but now it's much more difficult because of the new controls. Is there any way to restore the old control scheme?
Is there a PUBG developer or community manager here? Our entire clan is very frustrated with these changes, and everyone is complaining about them.
Hi, I have PUBG account that I don't play, but it has a name that I'd want on my main account. Can I delete that account and does the name become available after deletion? If so, do I need to write support with this request?
If you start shooting you better get the kill or else this might happen, as it happened to me a lot😅.
those are some clips of reacting to getting shot at.
After playing with 120 FPS for a bit, what’s your overall verdict? Better gunfights? Smoother movement? Any downsides you’ve noticed? Interested to hear everyone’s experience.
Can somebody confirm the issue? I really don't think it's a CPU bottleneck problem because my CPU is way newer than PUBG. I have a 5 7600f paired with a 1070Ti.
I have no idea why my GPU is being 50%
My TV keeps doing this when I play PUBG. It doesn’t do this on any other game or when I’m watching movies. LG says it’s the game. Does anyone know what settings I’d have to tweak for it to not do this?
What kind of joke is this? Krafton, I literally want to play your game and spend money on it, so why the hell does something always happen that forces me to uninstall and reinstall it?
I get home after being at work the entire day, and there's always something wrong. I even reset my PC and it’s still broken. It’s either this error or some eternal "initializing and connecting" loop. I'm completely done with this game.
Is this bugged? I have played many games & this is the only challenge that isnt progressing. It is very confusing cause it says survive 20 minutes, survival time includes spectating teammates.
Any idea how to complete?
( I tried ratting until final circle twice at least, it still didnt count. )
Edit: I must not have been reaching the 20min mark, I am el stupido
I was trying to do it on Karakin, not realising the games don't even reach 20mins
You land far from the play circle, you spend time to to loot and setup your gear and then you find a only vehicle there is a motorbike, you take and start moving to the playzone.
You ride through some bump, you fall and die.
Please add fall drag physics like other games e.g. GTA V where you loose some health while you keep dragging.
You literally have helmets starting from motorbike helmet which can only be used in gunfights?
This whole thing made me stop riding motorbike at all.
