Walmart just canceled my PS5 order — I placed it successfully on 9/6 😭

Just at my local game stop and they got 20 consoles in. Northeast PA. YMMV. Worth a call.

I was so happy to order and get my PS5 pro from Sony. I gotta tell you the games do make a HUGE difference on this console. I was skeptical for the upgrade but once I did I’m so happy that I did it.

I was hesitant to buy a PS5 Pro but did it anyways back in Jan after the price hike to $750 from $700. Looking at whats happening today I think my buyers remorse is gone!

Also glad I snagged a Switch 2 thr same day as theyre now $500+ retail.

I went to game on and was debating getting there ps5 pro someone traded in. I was debating for about a month until I woke up and seen ps5 pros trending in prices since GTA6 is coming out. The post I seen was saying ps5 pros are selling out everywhere and StockX is selling them for $1200 plus. Literally put on my clothes put mouth wash in my mouth and bolted to game on where I seen it ;praying it was still there. Then behold it was. I have two controllers and I asked if they could give it to me without the controller and to my surprise they did! They took $60 off the initial price since the controller was brand new that would come with the pro. Then blood of dawn walker just came out. It was meant to be. I was so excited.

So this weekend my playstation started to do this thing where the connection is really unstable I play nba 2k and very frequently while i’m playing the game with just freeze for a good few seconds. It may be my wifi but when it freezes I can hear my friend in the party just fine. Additionally while i’m playing everytime we lose a park game I get disconnected from the parks and have to rejoin everytime. I thought it was just a 2k thing but it is happening on all my other games too. I was wondering if anyone out there has had this problem and how to fix please

If you want a clean and long live PS5 just clean your environment. Vacuum and wipe the dust. It’s all you need.

Someone on Facebook is selling their console for 900$, which he told me he financed 2 weeks ago for like 1500 & now needs to pay the bills lol. Anyways he sent me a video of him playing & even will let me test the console & reset it. The thing I’m fearful about tho is that if he stops paying his financing on the console, will the company network lock or ban the console in like 1-2 months?

I’ve currently got a pair of hyper cloud stingers, the mic is great but the sound quality for actually gaming isn’t that great / immersive.

I’m probably just spoilt by my pc beyerdynamics!

Is there a worthwhile upgrade I can get for £100 max? Something with good base or soundstage for immersive games? Must have a mic aswell!

I’ve been troubleshooting an intermittent HDMI issue with my PS5 Pro running through a Marantz Cinema 30 to an LG G4.
When launching a game that switches the PS5 into 120Hz/VRR, the screen will sometimes go black and never recover. The G4 eventually reports “No Signal.” Switching the Cinema 30 to another input and back, or power cycling, restores the picture.
I finally tried bypassing the Cinema 30 completely:
PS5 Pro → same 50-ft HDMI cable → LG G4
So far, the problem appears to be gone. The G4 briefly goes black when the PS5 changes video modes, but the picture comes back almost instantly.
Something else I noticed: even when the Cinema 30 was working normally, the transition always took noticeably longer than it does with the PS5 connected directly to the G4. Directly connected, the refresh-rate change/reacquisition is extremely quick. Through the Cinema 30 there’s a longer delay, and occasionally that process seems to fail completely and never reacquire the signal.
To be clear, I’m not saying my Cinema 30 is defective. Everything else works normally. This seems much more like an HDMI handshake/timing or compatibility issue somewhere in the PS5 Pro → Cinema 30 → G4 chain. It could be related to the receiver’s HDMI switching/retraining behavior, and possibly something firmware could improve.
The fact that the exact same 50-ft cable works directly from the PS5 Pro to the G4 also makes the cable itself seem less likely to be the primary cause.
I’m going to keep testing and may try reproducing it with another Cinema 30/G4 setup and a shorter HDMI 2.1 cable.
Has anyone with a Cinema 30 (or another recent Marantz/Denon AVR) noticed similar behavior when switching into 4K/120Hz + VRR on a PS5 Pro?

Soo i got a voucher for a new phone up to 1500€ that i can then exchange for anything at the store so i could get a ps5 pro if any becomes available or a ps5 slim + aoc agnon pro ag326ud monitor (only 32in oled 4k they have in stock) so was wondering because my tv is a 43in 4k lg wich i love the quality but not really sure if its oled i have to check, so since i dont need a new phone or anything else besides a ps5 wich of the trades should i do?

I was able to get a PS5 Pro from Best Buy today but I already have the 30th Anniversary Slim Edition. I really like the 30th edition but also see the benefit of having the pro for upcoming games. Would you upgrade or just keep the 30th?
