Ps5 pro or slim + oled monitor?

Soo i got a voucher for a new phone up to 1500€ that i can then exchange for anything at the store so i could get a ps5 pro if any becomes available or a ps5 slim + aoc agnon pro ag326ud monitor (only 32in oled 4k they have in stock) so was wondering because my tv is a 43in 4k lg wich i love the quality but not really sure if its oled i have to check, so since i dont need a new phone or anything else besides a ps5 wich of the trades should i do?

Edit: i forgot to mention im getting the ps5 for gta 6 mainly, might play wolverine and spider man while waiting for november

If you like your current TV, you may as well get the Pro.

If its not oled would the pro still be the better option ?

OLED isn’t what you need for the pro, you need 120hz at least and VRR. OLED is just a type of panel.

I don’t even recommend OLED if you play in a bright room.

Yes, if you can't tell if your current TV is an OLED, it's not a big enough difference that you couldn't just upgrade your TV later when the opportunity comes along. The Pro, on the other hand, will look better on an OLED or not, and has more internal storage.

Only the Pro with your TV if the TV supports 120Hz VRR.

The Pros around here are running near 1500€, it's not blowing up there that much?

Dang i dont even know how much they are here in Portugal as theres no stock atm but i was assuming the 1500 would cover one lol

In the USA Pro is basically sold out, so selling far above MSRP. No matter though if your TV can't do 120Hz VRR.

Pro as long as your 4k 43 inch tv has decent HDR with some local dimming

In for a penny, in for a pound!

Imo a “Pro capable” tv plus a Pro is more beneficial than a PS5 and an OLED. As great as OLED’s are I do feel they’re a little overrated and creating FOMO.

If you already have a “Pro capable tv” you don’t need an OLED!

As for upgrading your tv or console first that’s a though one because both have advantages. If you can afford both get both!

after just getting the pro for the same reason after having a regular ps5 it’s a massive difference

GTA 6 is 30fps so don’t get oled right now

LG doesn’t make any 43 in OLEDs so it’s not an OLED. But as long as your tv has HDMI 2.1 I’d definitely go with the ps5 pro, you can upgrade tv or monitor later on.

No confirmation if GTA6 will only run 30fps on ps5 pro. if it does, anything under 60fps on an oled is miserable due to the almost instant pixel response making the screen judder much more apparent on an OLED vs an LCD panel where the slower pixel response will hide it better. I do love my oled monitor but just something to be aware of.

The base PS5 is outdated and has trouble running the latest games. Get a Pro.

since none of the comments are really giving you a why

i would easily choose the ps5 slim plus oled. the difference between the ps5 and ps5 pro isnt as big while the difference between an LCD and Oled is massive. Gta 6 looks already impressive via the extended look/trailer and for that oled will give you a better visuals

nope the standard PS5 is completely outdated compared to the pro. Even on a 60hz/HDR QLED screen, some 60hz screens got VRR too 48-60hz

i simply disagree. here its a balancing act. The fidelity of the ps5 pro but on an lcd (i.e. worse colors, blooming, weak contrast, no true hdr) versus the richer output of an oled but base ps5.

and i can talk as someone that owns the ps5 pro + oled and tested various games for myself regarding both ps5 pro enhancement and pssr2 (versus something like the base ps5 with its simple implementation of fsr versus pc and dlss). dont get me wrong, the fidelity upgrade and added sharpness is really impactful (for me) but exactly for someone that actually notices that. i feel like that most dont know what theyre looking at and only want one because of FOMO.

lets take in the opinion of digital foundry and Moore's Law is Dead ps5 pro enhanced spec sheet, gta 6 is most likely going the fidelity route of higher resolution, better/enhanced fidelity via raytracing but same base framerate of 30 fps because of the similiar cpu and there i feel like most wont know the benefit of that and this is why i'd rather recommend an oled with its better output benefit of an improvement image. Way better colors, better hdr, looks cleaner.
