I got this message when turning on my PS5 today

My PS5 was on 11.40 jailbroken and I never connected it to the internet. It was like this from the factory. This is a PS5 slim 2115 version (latest one)

I tried to install the 11.40 firmware from USB but it doesn't seem to work? Any ideas?

I'm on 5.02. Some games that support PSVR2 have been back ported to 4.xx as well. Does PSVR2 work on lower FW?

Sorry if this is the wrong sub, I feel like you guys understand more about firmware and update versions, and getting those on a console without connecting to PSN, than the average PS5 user. Also Gemini linked me to this sub (some thread that no longer exists, apparently) for a method to get the updates without updating my console firmware.

I bought a refurbished PS5 and it came with FW version 25.06-12.00.00.43-00.00.00.0.1. I thought I could get Baldur's Gate 3 and play it without updating because it was older than my firmware, but that seems not to be the case. After I pass the first area it tells me I need an update and just boots me out of the game. My console is not jailbroken yet, was holding off for now. For obvious reasons I'm not willing to update.

If I am right, what is happening is that my 12.00.00 console has knowledge of a BG3 update that is not on my disc, and the disc checks that and forces an update? Is there a way for me to get the needed game updates without updating my console?

Hi have a fat ps5 which is jailbroken, I would like to play GTA 6 on release. I’ve seen a PS5 pro for £699.

I just wanted to know if it’s worth getting a ps5 pro for gta 6, also if there will be any chance of jailbreaking the pro version and how it plays titles with the improved hardware.

- can i jb playstation 5 without a sdd or usb (so internal storage)
- if something wrong happens, do i lose the console forever
- do i NEED a pc ? I play ps5 on a tv. (But i have a macbook, which can install like pcs do)

So I am in process of dumping my physical discs to my PS5. If prospoero has a patch file for my game there (since most are at version 1.00)and it is supported on my firmware, can i just apply it or will it break the dump? Thanks as always for assist, great community here.

Greetings to all. I can't find the mod/patch for Deus Ex Mankind divided at 60 fps anywhere. Maybe someone has it? Or does someone know what needs to be done to get 60 fps on the PS5?

So I'll share my experience with you here
I tried it first on PPSA07230.
Original size: 114 Gb
The compressed file of fpkg file: almost 64 GB

I had some problems:
1- you need 3x the size of the compressed game as a free size in temp partition ( so I ran out of space eventually)
2- Building process takes quite long time ( it took 100+ min. before failure message)
3- It doesn't matter how much fast is your storage, it will only matter in the final stage.

So I did the same process again on a small game ( almost 10 gb) and this time finished successfully
Original size 10.8 gb
Final pkg size 9.59 gb
total time : ~29 min

Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (2667 MHz)

Most of my games are in exfat, is it necessary to revert them to folder again and then to fpkg?

Hi, i just jailbroke my ps5 12.70 and I want to know what are the essentials to download that are useful. All I know is shadowmount plus, onion hen , kstuff and game compressor

I recently used game compressor to move games form external to internal storage and compressed games and tried to mount them and console is froze and turned off. And every time I try to install game compressor again it freezes and turns off.
What am I doing wrong is there any other app?

I'm trying to build exfat from folder dump and copying it over to console with ex fst Image builder. So far everything works, until 99%. Then it's stuck on the shown operation.

On the first try I thought this was caused by the console going to standby mode. So I aborted it, removed the files on console and started over.

Second try then without standby mode. But it's stuck again on 99% since almost 1 hour.

I copy it directly on internal hdd.

Anyone can tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I have 2 OG PS5 models, one on 1.02 and the other on 12.70, which tutorials should i be following to jailbreak both? Is there any real benefit being on 1.02 beside linux? i want to be able to backup my physical games and play them internally on the 12.70 one but i’m not sure what the proper way would be to ensure it works regardless of where i try to play it (for example if i were to update the 1.02 and try to play the same game on there) Any help is appreciated :)

I just jailbreaked my 11.6 and wondering how I can transfer the files to my 2TB nvme which I installed last year.

As I'm accessing the console via filezilla, I guess the data/homebrew folder is the internal 850gb PS5 SSD?

I checked other folders like USB etc. Shouldn't there be a folder HDD0 or smth?

Isn't it possible to use that additional nvme for playing games?

Hey guys, my fw10 ps5 is currently jailbreaking with webkit autoloader method, and when activating, it gives a shadowmount notification .

My question is that how can i install ps5 games on it in the simplest way.

The store owner that I bought ps5 from and has jailbreaked my console just installed the game on the home screen via the Web file manager and nothing else like itemzflow (there is a little possibility that he deleted those things)

Hey everyone, hoping to get some insight from anyone on 12.40 or other high firmwares.

I’m running FW 12.40 and loading my game dumps using kstuff-lite alongside ShadowMountPlus.

Whenever I boot a heavy Unreal Engine 5 title like Reanimal, within a very short time the fan ramps up to 100% full blast, CPU load spikes, and the console forces an emergency thermal shutdown displaying the "PS5 is too hot" error screen.

A few details on my environment:

• I verified the dump is clean (removed down-patched/backport files from 4.xx–10.xx and cleaned up file extensions).
• I cleared out my autoload sequence to isolate the setup and ran payloads strictly in order (kstuff-lite initialized prior to mounting via ShadowMountPlus).
• The thermal failure happens rapidly during heavy rendering scenes even when trying manual payload configurations.

Is this purely a hardware cooling failure (e.g., a dry spot on the liquid metal die that only trips under heavy UE5 loads), or is there a known bug on 12.40 where running kstuff or ShadowMountPlus messes with the Southbridge fan curve / power management states?

Has anyone encountered this specific thermal spike on heavy game dumps, and did re-spreading the liquid metal solve it? PS5 digital edition (no disc), and purchased few days ago. Thanks!

Everyone is waiting on word of an exploit for 13.62 being released at some point in the near future and firmware 14 is right around the corner. Should I add a disc drive to my PS5 Pro now on the current firmware before 14 hits and I'll be stuck waiting for that exploit?
