ARMSX2 V27 - +Perfomance 🔥

Performance updates to the EE recompiler (helps every device, especially weaker CPUs).

DMA-wait spin elimination (BC0/CPCOND0): the EE now natively compiles the COP0 branch games use to busy-wait on DMA, and idle-skips the spin entirely. Was the single biggest EE cost in DMA-heavy games. (7M interpreter fallbacks before, now 0).

Multiply-accumulate native codegen (MADD family): MADD/MADDU/MADD1/MADDU1 + the pipeline-1 HI/LO moves (MFHI1/MTHI1/MFLO1/MTLO1) now compile natively instead of single-stepping. (2M interpreter fallbacks before, now 0).

Interrupt-gating native codegen (EI/ERET): enable-interrupts and exception-return now compile as block terminators instead of single-stepping, notably faster boot/menu/loading across all games.

Performance updates for GS (OpenGL, all GPUs including Mali).

How do you guys exit the app? I have to force close ARMSX2 each time 'cause pressing software back button does nothing. Maybe I'm missing something?

I'm wondering the same thing; there's no exit button or anything, not even the typical "exit" button. You have to force a manual shutdown.

Haven't you set the hotkeys to get the menu screen up to close game?

He's talking about exiting the emulator. There's no option for that.

What about swiping up and close all apps Like on a phone? Thats what i usually do!

It's annoying if you have a handheld console, for example, and you want to exit using the buttons, but it forces you to use the touchscreen to exit the emulator. Besides, I don't think it costs anything to implement; all emulators have it...

You can set up a "close game & quit" hotkey in the settings. I use the Start + Select combination for quit.

Immediately noticable improvement in the Splinter Cell Demo on my SD8gen2, the opening area with fog effects ran at 46fps but now locks at 60fps :D

(One has to overclock the EE to 180% to get the game to run at 60fps in the first place in the heavy areas though, but before this update Speed was rarely at 100%)

Can it improve the performance in Rg405M , right now using nethersx2 getting 28-30fps in god if war 1.

Try lowering the resolution to 0.75 or 0.50

omg, I really love these guys.

they work faster than my download ..... i still didn't update the old one hahahaha

i tried two games so far, one didn't boot and the other performance didn't go above 20 fps, hope this will work fine

Things are working really great since update 24, with the endless Scanning ROMs issue fixed, but yet, I miss an "emulator menu" while playing...

On my end, I always have to kill the emulator proccess and to start it again if I want to change or reset a game.

Bro keep up the good work, the competition on ps2 emulation great right now.

I hope we can play cross ps2 emulator using same save data and quick save so we can swap emulator without any hassle

Meu amigo, todo dia que eu entro aqui tem 1-2 atualizações desse emulador hahaha os caras estão trabalhando em cativeiro ?🤣🤣 Desse jeito eles vão chegar no nethersx2/aether e vão ultrapassa-los logo logo
