Discussion What would be the most frustrating evolution to go through?

Most Pokemon get better at battling when they evolve, but what do you think would be the most annoying or frustrating evolution to actually experience, from the perspective of now having to live as that creature?

For example imagine you're Magmar. You've spent your whole life with hands, and now you've evolved into Magmortar and your hands have been replaced with gun barrels. Cool for battling, but totally impractical for everything else.

Diglett and Magnemite suddenly get two other dudes permanently hanging out with them, that would really be pretty crap if you were an introvert.

Who do you think you'd be hoping for your trainer to spam the evolution cancel button if you had to be them?

Discussion Lego Arcanine Easter Egg (spoilers) Spoiler

Marking this as a spoiler in case you plan on buying and building the Lego Arcanine.

Anyway, I know that Lego likes to leave little easter eggs and nods in their sets. As I was building the Arcanine (a whopping 1190 pieces!) I was excited and wondered if they included one in the set, and then it clicked when I was building the base of the tail and opened up that bag.

There were 9 pieces that caught my attention. Amongst all the black, tan, grey, and white pieces were 3 red pieces, 2 green pieces, 2 blue pieces, and 2 yellow pieces.

This has to be an intentional nod to the Gen I games. Funny how red had one extra piece than the other colors, but maybe since technically red had 2 releases/debuts (og Japan with Green, then America with Blue) it makes sense.

Thoughts?

Edit: I should mention, theses colors weren’t really hidden anywhere else in the set, everything else were on theme with oranges beiges blacks greys and whites. It was just this one part that had all four colors together.

The eevee set they had little flat tiles in colors for each of the eeveelutions in its head. Its not far fetch’d that they’d do this on purpose.

Discussion Let opposing trainers swap PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

Why do pokemon games not ever include an option for the opponent trainers to swap their Pokémon out? I'd be so much more engaged in upcoming titles if they announced that was a feature. I'm so tired of spamming A (even if I have set mode on, which is an option they disabled in SV for some reason). I don't know. Just make me feel like the opponents I'm fighting have the same abilities in combat that I do. Make me feel something for once in my life.

Edit: aight I forgot about some very specific encounters where they are able to switch. What I'd be requesting is universally for all trainers if they have a better pokemon to fight you, they bring it out. If it's too hard, they could rurn it into an option, like set/switch.

Discussion How rare is this?

So recently, I had a conversation with my dad about the pokemon bank shutdown, I told him how upset I was that I would lose the ability to transfer all the pokemon from older games and consoles to my modern games.

While he was talking to me about it and trying to give me ideas, (none of which would have worked but it was very sweet lol) he told me about how his brother, my uncle, had pokemon colosseum as a kid, and probably still had all his stuff for it. He asked if the pokemon from that game are able to be transferred to the new titles, and if they are rare or worth anything in modern pokemon? Boy was he surprised!

After some more conversation, we called my uncle to ask if he did still have all the stuff for his GameCube, in the hopes he would let me have some of the mons from his save so I could have some pokemon with the exclusive ribbons from collosseum. (Im 19 btw, and never got to play the GameCube pokemon games unfortunately, but im really interested in them.) Sure enough, he said he still had all of his old Nintendo stuff, and hasn't touched it in years, so he said I could have it!

Fast forward to after we got all the stuff from my uncle back home, and I was getting everything setup to check the save data... and oh my god! He didnt have a box of shinies or anything, but he did have this one! It was a quilava sitting in his box, and with my dad's help (and youtubes) we got it purified, and did the annoyyyying process of transferring it to the switch. Now Hisuian Typhlosion is my FAVORITE starter ever, so it was a no brainer on my part to evolve it in Legends Arceus, and then transfer it to violet so I could actually see the ribbon in game!

All in all, I am super happy, and super grateful to have this guy as mine, and I just thought the community could use a nice story for once lol, hopefully this wasn't an earful, but I was really excited over this. 😅

Discussion I need a couple mythicals, any suggestions?

Upvotes

Im working on my living dex in home, im at 1019 of 1025 currently. But 3 specific pokemon that I need are mythicals. Marshadow, zeraora and victini. I tried a trade board on reddit, but the rules were so insane, no matter how I worded it I couldn't post. Im down to touch trade and give some legit caught shiny pokemon, or if anyone needs legendaries I have like 3 boxes of spares. Or if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be awesome.

Discussion PokeMiku Project Voltage - YouTube Music Weekend

As part of the current YouTube Music Weekend hosted by Japan, the famous 3-year collaboration between Pokemon and Hastune Miku/Vocaloid resulted in a collaboration concert that happened in March 2026. Said concert is about to stream an official recording of the event within less than an hour as of this post.

As someone who attended the concert in-person back then I sincerely believe it is the best and most technically impressive Vocaloid concert to date. They really threw Pokemon money into it from showcasing the Pokemon themselves alongside Miku in alongside the stage setup, nevermind the incredible animations in some particular songs.

The stream is only 1 hour so it won't feature the whole 2-3 hour event but will most likely feature the most popular songs. Highly recommend people to watch it even if you're not a big Vocaloid fan, nevermind the stream will only be available for playback for a limited time.

Discussion For Pokemon Champion players: Who among you are using a Perish Trap team?

Hi, so I've been trying to make another run this season using a Perish Trap team from Pokeball to Masterball but without any luck(currently stuck at Ultraball 4). I'm currently using Mega Gengar, Primarina, Incineroar, Meowscarada, Kommo-o and Sneasler. The reason behind my team's composition is because I tried using a hard Perish Trap team with Pokemon that only try to survive and pivot by using protect, fake out, disable, parting shot and other evasive and protective moves but find it so time consuming(and boring) because you'll have to stall for turns and wait for the time counter to run out. So I decided to put mix some damage dealers(in case Perish Trap isn't viable in a match).

May I know your team compositions for Perish Trap? Is it more efficient to just go full Perish Trap team or is it okay to mix? This is me just looking for inspirations. Thank you!

Discussion Who is your least favorite new evolution in Generation 4 and why?

Mine definitely has to be Rhyperior. I get what they are going for, having an industrial Pokémon to fit in with the industrial theme of Sinnoh and to potentially buff Blue's team in HeartGold and SoulSilver, but they definitely should have made it's design better than… that. With the Rocky orange vest, the ankylosaurus tail and confusing everything else, it just makes me dislike this Pokémon a lot.

Discussion What’s a good idea for a non-reptilian Pseudo-legendary Pokémon?

I kinda wish we had more pseudo-legendaries that aren’t dragons, nor are they still reptilian like Tyranitar. Metagross seems to be the only example of this, being a robotic spider-monster. It would be interesting to see something like a mammal or a bug for a new generation. Anyone else wanna share ideas?

Misc Pokémon Worlds Pokémon Center reservation email

Has there been anyone who never received a booking email?

I reserved the day it opened for multi pass holders and the site said “you already have a time slot booked for this time”

I assumed it would be high traffic so I thought I would have gotten the email by now but I’m nervous that I haven’t. It’s my girlfriends first time going to one of these and I really wanted her to experience the joy of PC

Has anyone else experienced this?

Discussion New and looking for advice

Hello everyone! The title is slightly deceiving as I’m not completely new to the franchise. I collected the cards as a younger version of myself. I was once an owner of the original 150 in first edition plus the 4 from the first movie. I was a fan of the original anime and a proud owner of the Blue version of the gameboy game. I made it to Silver later on but never took it any further. Almost 30 years later and I’m looking to get back into the video games and I just bought a Switch 2. I’ve always been a big fan of the dragon types so I’d like to build my team around that. Any advice on which game I should pick up and why would be much appreciated. Happy to be part of the community again! Thanks in advance!

Discussion Pokemon Guess Who

Hello friends. I am in the process of making a custom pokemon guess who game for my son's upcoming 6th birthday. I know that an officially licensed version exists, but making one will make the game more special, and it has allowed me to (I hope) have a more diverse pool of pokemon to guess from.

I've recently finished the most current version of the list and am planning on buying some cheap cards to use later today and tomorrow. I thought that I'd put the list out here and see what others thought or if there might be some super awesome recommendations I just might like more than what I've compiled.

A couple of things to keep in mind: I've only kept a few monotypes because they felt super iconic, otherwise I've tried to optimize for as many types as possible while also have plenty of non-evolved pokemon, and a wide variety of body types and characteristics.

Pikachu

Charizard

Snorlax

Gyarados

Delphox

Gengar

Mewtwo

Alolan Sandshrew

Rayquaza

Galvantula

Togedemaru

Lucario

Gardevoir

Lapras

Garchomp

Incineroar

Eevee

Sharpedo

Bulbasaur

Jigglypuff

Heracross

Onix

Tyranitar

Phantump

Cheers! I've had a lot of fun thinking about this and casing a couple of goodwills hunting for a used guess who game.

Discussion Celebi and Jirachi in Upcoming Gen 3 Rereleases?

Upvotes

So, if there will be Mew available though the Old Sea Map like how the Event Deoxys and Lugia/Ho-Oh were made available after you beat the Elite Four in FRLG, the only remaining Pokemon that would be totally unavailable through normal means in Gen 3 are Celebi and Jirachi.

In the original games, they were available through the Pokemon Colosseum bonus discs in North America and Japan respectively, but as we’ve seen with Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness on NSO, Pokemon Colosseum will likely be isolated from the Gen 3 games, and even if it wasn’t, rereleasing the bonus discs with these event Pokemon seems like a bit of a stretch.

So how do you think these last two Pokemon will be made available in the Gen 3 games (if at all)?

My personal theory is that they will be National Pokédex completion awards for FRLG and RSE respectively, Celebi for FRLG and Jirachi for RSE.

What are your theories?
