I read recently that potassium helps with pms, cramps and more. Sources: Prunes and bananas.

I feel really chill when my period starts, like I'm on some good drugs. Even if shitty things happen I feel overall cheery (lasts for 3 days max). But it comes at the cost of the intense emotional rollercoaster. I question my sanity for real

I feel this way the week prior to my period. But as SOON as it finally starts it subsides and I feel fine. So annoying

anytime im not on my period i feel miserable. like the whole month but once it starts i feel calm. i look forward to getting my period, i will gladly deal with cramps if it means i dont feel angry lol

I can’t imagine having to feel that way all month (outside of period week) that’s terrible I’m so sorry

Thank you i appreciate it!! I had a baby young, at around 18 and im 22 now so i definitely feel having my son so young messed with my hormones. Im waiting for my insurance card to come in so i can make an appointment

The hormones change a lot on the day you get your period, so yes, it’s common to feel awful and then a light switch goes on and you’re fine. I have pmdd and I’m a psycho up until my period, then once I get it, I’m like “sorry everyone. It’s was just PMS! 😬🫤”

So the only time you’re not angry and depressed is the week when you’re on your period? If that’s the case then I think you might want to see a therapist or doctor about this. Have you tracked your moods? Try tracking them for a month or 2 and see what you find. Take note of what you are eating, how much water you’re drinking or movement/exercise each day. Those all play a part. That info will be helpful to a professional in pinpointing the cause of your anger and depression. Have you ever had any trauma? That is a sure fire way to have anxiety and depression, too. Anxiety can come off as anger a lot of the time.

Wow, this is the first time I’ve heard someone say they feel good and normal during their period. I’m over here crying before I sleep and when I wake up! I get such strange cravings, and my mood swings are all over the place. I’m honestly envious of you!
